I tried running the install script in terminal and I got a permission denied error. I have installed Long War before and didn't have a problem... I am just attempting to upgrade to the latest version. Any help would be appreciated.

Hmm you have any idea where that would be? I was wondering if you could answer another question for me. I wanted to change the default look soldiers get when they get a spec. I got some promotions to check it out, but they did not end up wearing helmets like I expected. Did I do something wrong? Is this process different in OSX?

How about the issue with squad no automatically loading into the squad prep screen? Is that intended or a glitch?

Thank you that did the trick! Thanks a lot for your help. I do have another question. When I start a new mission and I am in the loadout screen in the barracks no soldiers are selected. I have to manually add each one. This is a minor issue, but I have watched several let's plays of Long War and this doesn't seem to be the case for the players on youtube. is his an OSX glitch or am I having some setting checked?

Ah yes I was playing with training roulette... I should have guessed that might have been a cause. I used steam to delete the game and re-install it. Which was a very long and stupid process but now that it is almost done, i'll try LongWar again without training roulette. I assume it will work fine. I'll report back.

I am having plenty of issues with the OSX version. Last night I played about 4 missions and everything went fine. I never saved the game unfortunately so I had to start over. After beating the first missions when I assigned a power to a soldier the game crashed. Link to crash report. I tried this a few times in several different ways but it always crashes. I tried to run the uninstaller, but correct me if I am wrong, seems to be the same file as the OSX installer. Meaning it wont uninstall, it only tells me Long War was successfully installed. I tried looking at both the installer and uninstaller with Sublime and to my untrained eye they seem to be identical. Probably a packaging mistake? But I sure would like the OSX uninstaller because currently I cannot play longwar or vanilla... Anyone have any ideas for me? Ideally Long War would work the same way it did last night...
