Moraevik, I tried your steps, but I couldn't get past step 2. This problem occurred with Ralof for me, when we get to the end of Helgen, he'll stop in front of the cave's exit. He says stuff like "Just keep putting one foot in front of the other," and "What next?" I tried moveto player, but he just walks back to where he was standing. I went outside the cave, typed it again, he just walks back in again. I tried disable, enable, resetai. On my previous games, I went to Gerdur/Alvor in Riverwood, and they just tell me to go to Whiterun. I go talk to Irileth (who didn't walk up to me like she should have), tell her I have news about the attack, and she tells me to talk to the Jarl. I do that, and that's when he SHOULD talk to Proventus. BUT HE WON'T. I can no longer continue the main quest line, therefore preventing me from... many other things... The mods I have installed (from the Steam workshop) are - Assasin's Creed Armor - Connor Kenway Digitigrade Kajiit + Argonian My Little Hatchling Ram-Ku My Little Kitty Ma'Rahka Total Conquest! 1.1 Weaponized Whippersnappers Bundlemod2 SM Essential Kills + I used to have the Dragonlord Castle installed, but it was really glitchy. My sister thought that was causing problems, so I got rid of it. But she was wrong... Apparently... So, any ideas..?

Aurihazuma... is there any easier way to fix the problem..? Your solution seems to work, but I don't understand a word of it.

I had the same problem, jdubjsr, but I didn't have Dovahkiin Hideout installed, but I did have about 12 mods installed. Got rid of all of them, and the quest still won't start. Can someone please get back to me at [email protected]
