  1. Consoles might be hurting the level of depth but they are in no way hurting RPG making. If anything you should be thankful. A lot of the games you've enjoyed might not have existed without a console release as well as PC. That's the problem. There's never been an rpg primarily released on the consoles with the PC as an afterthought that I've enjoyed. I DO agree that I need to get over it because for the foreseeable future this is just the way it is. So, I guess, take the whining out of my post and those are some mods I'd love to see.
  2. Here's my list: 1. A mod to get rid of the scaling enemies. 2. A mod to get rid of the suicidal wildlife (seriously, you'd think they'd learn on this one) 3. A mod to put BACK in the stats. I don't care if other people think this is a great change, I want them back in a meaningful way. I'm not sure if this will be possible, but I'm guessing there's something that can be done. 4. A UI fix for people that play on PC. Bethesda is now the worst PC UI developer on earth. 5. Put spell making back in 6. Put enchanting back in 7. Put alchemy back in (assuming their removing it). 8. A mod that puts levitation back in where it belongs. And add in anything else they are cutting out because people are confused by anything less simple than string. I won't lie, Skyrim makes me want to rip out all my hair. We're witnessing the end of the interesting, deep RPG with this release. Hopefully, the mod community can fix it. God I hate consoles.
  3. I'm not just worried, I'm disgusted. There's no such thing as easier access AND more in depth. The only thing it does is make it more understandable for people that have never played an RPG. I don't understand why they would import the WoW tree system. It just doesn't fit at all.
  4. Total conversions can be great, but they are almost never completed. Even Tamriel rebuilt for Morrowind is still under development (or at least its not finished yet). But, we all remember the ones that do get finished because about once a decade someone makes something truly magical.
  5. Apparently, this mod is now gone. Or at least I can't find it. It's been removed from the link posted.
  6. I have to admit I'm disappointed once again in the directions taken by the developers in some gameplay areas. Instead of whining about it, I got to thinking about the mods I'd need to make or incorporate in my game in order to make it more of what I want. The list is something like this: - Bring back the primary skills, or the Primary/Secondary, or even the Primary/Major/Minor system of leveling. - The above means fixing the new character creation system. - Bring back birth signs. - Completely overhaul the spell system to at least be no worse than Oblivion. - Hopefully, someone with great skills will do a mages guild that can match something like the lost spires type of quality. - Remove the level scaling of dungeons with some overhaul. - Remove the finishing moves - Completely redo the console UI for something PC appropriate - Add in the rendering functions that weren't put in because it was developed for consoles There's more, but those were the ones that leapt off the page at me. I'm curious what other people are looking forward to in terms of mods. PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A RANT OR INTENDED TO INDUCE FLAMES. I'm honestly curious what mods others are planning on or what other people are already thinking about needing fixed for the PC. It's just a fact of life that TES games have needed modded to be playable ever since Morrowind and get more so every iteration. I'm simply curious what things other people find most important.
  7. Apparently Nexus download is down (I found that searching other threads). I apologize for wasting perfectly good forum space. Please feel free to delete this thread mods. I look forward to getting the 20 or so mods I've got my eyes on =D
  8. Is the database being reworked? Because 12 of the last 14 mods I was looking for have broken links here. Is it just me? Is there potentially some bug I'm experiencing or are the files hosted somewhere that they're being outdated? I'm sincerely curious since I'm not certain what's going on. I've rarely ever found a missing file here.
