  1. Hi there,

I'm searching for a mod that gives you more XP for casting a spell, depending on his strength/costs of mana. I'd like to have it more like in the newer TES-games: The more powerfull the casted spell is, the more XP you gain. In unmodded Morrowind I get only 4 points of XP in the school of magic the spell is in (Casting an Illusion spell always gives you 4 points in Illusion) - thats 25 casted spells per level, 1500 casted spells to ring a skill from 40 to 100 and so 12.000! casted spells to bring up all 8 schools of magica to 100!

  2. There's one thing that still bothers me in Skyrim: The transition of the horizon! You look at the clouds, a sunset and BAM! there's the ground. Yes, I'm talking about that ugly line between the sky and the earth.

Also, the level of that line (the horizon) seems to be rising with you. For example, you stand at the throat of the world: The clouds don't seem to be reaching the ground anymore, stopping at the same height as you. The only time the level of the horizon line is ok, is when you stand at a low height. Like 0 meters.

What we need: Some distance fog between the clouds and the ground, matching the weather. And the line of the horizont shouldn't be adjusted to the players position. But I'm not a modder, so just guessing :)

Here's a picture: You can see the clouds stopping at you height, leaving a great gap between the clouds and the ground in the far distance.

  3. Thanks for your reply!

    - I'm at the quest where I just got my first Elder Scroll to call Aldurin. So Dragons should be there.

    - I tried at day & at night

    - I only killed randomly appearing Dragons and the ones from the quest line. If I kill them and get the loot and the shout from the lair it should be marked as "Finished", right? But it never does.

    - Mods: I tried with "Deadly Dragons", I tried with "Enhanced Mighty Dragons" and I tried without both of them. I also got "PermaZONES" and "High Level Enemies" but they both shouldn't affect dragons.

    - I got Dragonborn DLC. Same there: No Dragon at the lair, quest-realated appear. AFAIK there are no random dragons in Solstheim.

  4. Hi,

I'm missing dragon's at their lairs. Random Dragons eppear, but the Dragons Lairs I discover are empty. Sometimes a few skeletons appear, but I can't finish the lairs (still marked on map as unfinished) because there are no dragons to kill. So there should be dragons, but there aren't any. Here's what I tried:

    - I already continued the story to the point where dragons appear (Now I have to get the first elder scroll)

    - Wait for 31 days ingame and revisited Dragon Lairs - still no Dragon

    - Discovered new Lairs - No Dragons there

    - Don't fast travel to Lairs - approched from distance - no dragon there

Strange: At the Lair south of Riften is a dragon. He's flying around but then disappears without attacking me. Even if I mad him enemy by shooting him in the air.

  5. Hi,

I'm searching for a mod that ONLY effects the leveling speed of destruction. It's just too slow, but all mods I have found also attach other stats.

I'm using Skyrim Redone and Forgotten Magic and I'm dealing quite damage with my spells. But the leveling is still too slow: One-Handed is over 100, Archery also. Both of them are rarely used, destruction magic is always my first choise in combat but it's only at level 50.

I think I saw a mod that only handles this, but couldn't find it anymore. So thanks if you could tell me if there is one and where to find it :)

  6. * googles petard* yes, sometimes your wealth can be a heavy burden ;)

And yes, the author made a version that can be used in others mod, sadly he's not in Skyrim modding anymore afaik. But all we need would be someone who takes some good player's home mod and the ressource the author left and just bring them together.

As I said, whoever does this would be my hero, let me know if I can help you finding yourself at loose ends (I can buy milk for you etc...) ;)

  7. I just walked 10 minutes from my player's home (near Whiterun) to the money bin-mod mentioned by AraFox (near Whiterun) because I have a mod that adds a weight to Septim's :D

Anyone who could make a complete player's home with that money-store system of the mod mentioned would be my hero

Just imagine: A castle or a big house with all your stuff and a money bin in the cellar, letting you bath in your own gold!

  8. I understand your points, sorry for not descriping my idea correctly. Give me another try

I'm not talking about dropping coins or using single coins. I'm talking about 1 huge, room-filling texture file that just looks like gold. Like in all the games: You find a huge pile of gold and think "man, now I'm rich". Then you realize its just a texture and some single coins.

So there would be only 1 texture file needed, some extra coins would be nice but aren't truly neccesarry. A texture file that fills the whole room and rises with your wealth.

I didn't find an image of known games, but here's a screenshot from a Ducktale's game. As you can see, it's not million of coins, just 1 texture file:

edit: Some time ago I tried to make my dream come true, but as mentionend before no PC is able to do it by dropping coins. By the way, theres a mod letting you drop 1 gold: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/27792/? and a mod for Srooge McDuck's Money Bin: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/8659/?

  9. Hi,

we all have that problem: We are rich! The richest dude in whole skyrim, but noone can see our outstanding wealth. We are richer than the Jarls, richer than the dragons, and all we can do to show our wealth is to buy some shabby houses that every farmer can seem to effort. To show your followers and/or real life friends your wealth, here's my idea:
A money bin like Scrooge McDuck's with a rising gold level
I know, dropping single coins leads to a CTD after ~200 coins. Maybe your PC can handle more, but I bet yours also can't handle 1 million single coins in a room.

    - What we need: A layer of a plain gold-texture (just a texture with coins and some gems on it) in a room, rising with the gold you have. Maybe some single coins on top of the texture, but nothing hardware-hungry.

    - How to do: You put your gold in a scripted box which is connected to the height of the gold-layer in a room (some kind of ATM). For example: You put ~10.000 coins in the box which is connected to the height of the gold texture in the room. So the gold-level will rise from zero (empty) to a little, showing you that you're a poor bastard. If you put more money in the box, maybe 500.000, the gold-level will rise to the half height of the room. And maybe at ~1Mio. gold in the box the layer will rise to a room-filling level, allowing you to dive from your springboard onto the gold layer without dying.

Here's a picture to show you what I mean: (yes, I made it all by myself)

  10. Hi,

was just searching for the "search this thread" button - didn't find it. Checked the settings if there is a possibility to change to color layout of this forum to find the button easier - there isn't any? This must be the first forum in the universe that only offers 1 color layout :D

So, I'd be very thankful if anyone could tell me where the "search this thread" button is and plz add some new color layouts to this forum, the gray in gray style is very confusing.

  11. Hi there,

I don't like the way Skyrim deals with your enemies: The more powerful you become, the more powerful become your enemies. Till a point where you slay Dragons with a toothpick.

I'd like to have regions that define the level of the enemies. Like Whiterun and the dungeons around are populated by skeevers and wolves while around Solitude (or somewhere else) only high-leveled enemies wait for you. Just like in Morrowind.

Well, there is a mod that changes exactly what I whant: It's Skyrim Scaling Stopper, but it was updated last time in 2012 :O

    http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/9857/?

So, is there a mod that is similar to Skyrim Scaling Stopper? Maybe without the unnecessary
"The miscellaneous edits" like renaming salt?

    Thank you!

  12. Hi there,

first time I play Skyrim as a male magican. And first time the hands of my character realy distract me: They look like giant paws of a bear  Maybe this fits to a barbarian Nord, but playing as a High Elve/Altmer magican the hands look like they are from Frankenstein's monster or worse.

As you see I'm not talking about high-res mods for hands, I know there are many. I'm talking about the pose of the hand and the fingers.

I think the easiest way to make this better would be a mod that enables female hands for male characters. They are elegant and hold in another position, they would fit much better to a magican than the standard paws. And there would (hopefully) no clitching with weapons etc. because the hands are from vanlilla Skyrim. Just from another sex.

Screenshot: (look at these GIANT PAWS!! And look at the nice feminine hands in the background)
