  1. ^ This. Bijin Wives makes Camilla so gorgeous my PC married her. To be fair any body replacer eg CBBE or UUNP is a massive improvement over vanilla, but the Bijin mod takes it to a whole other level.
  2. Enhanced Landscapes - Winter Edition is the only one to satisfactorily do the job. Like you I thought it was too complicated but nothing else I tried looked good so in the end I decided to give it a go. It's not as bad as it first seems, a little time consuming (you've got to let DynDOLOD do its thing) but the end result looks amazing. Been running it for over a week with no apparent issues, if anything performance is improved.
  3. Well get an SSD for the primary drive (Solid State Drive not Super Star Destroyer) - stick only the OS and essential apps on this, it'll speed up gameplay marginally but boot times get reduced to less than thirty seconds. They're getting cheaper all the time so get as big a one as your wallet can stretch to. Oh and with a big enough SSD and as few programs installed on it as possible you can keep the swap file on this drive, that will improve things alot. The paltry 120 gig SSD C: drive on my rendering computer is getting full so I had to switch the swap file off & let the HDDs handle it and I've noticed a hit in performance. Admittedly that's with heavy duty 3D apps but the principle is the same - you want your fastest drive to handle the swap file. A couple of 1tb drives or a 2tb partitioned for everything else. Also a decent big external drive for backups.
  4. Fire up Wrye Bash, right click on bashed patch, select rebuild patch, click on Tweaks, right click on Max Resistance set to 100% then build patch. You can also alter carrying capacity, crime detection range etc. Pretty much the only thing you can't do is up the max armour damage resistance it seems that's hard coded (80% reduction with armour at 667, it just ignores anything over 667.)
  5. Just click on Files then select Download History - you can endorse/unendorse every file you've downloaded from there.
  6. Doesn't matter if you can only afford $1.00 or $0.50, if a couple of hundred people do it then that's a decent chunk of a mod creators utility bills paid for the month. Which leaves them with some moolah with which to treat themselves, or bung in a savings account or whatever.
  7. Every day is Mod Author Appreciation Day, donate what you can afford whenever you can afford, might be just $0.50 a month, might be $100,000 after you get a lottery win, who knows. Now the SkyUI team, well if they ditch Mardoxx I'll think it over, because frankly that guy is a complete [censored] wipe.
  8. The angry reaction was, well a complete over reaction. It was calm rational debate that changed Phenderix mind after all, not harassment and death threats. I can understand the anger, my initial reaction was one of slowly mounting rage as the details of the cluster[censored] filtered out, but I pushed the keyboard away, got up, went outside, walked down to the pub, had a pint & a cigarette, walked home then read the latest updates. I unendorsed a few mods, re-endorsed a couple when Phenderix had his change of heart, but otherwise bit my tongue and refrained from commenting when I knew I was still angry but no longer incensed. So I can understand the anger behind some of the worst of the behaviour of the past few days, but I cannot condone it. It seems like the age old art of taking a deep breath, counting to ten then saying something has been lost.
  9. I'm not against mod creators getting compensation for all the time and effort they put into their work, it was Valthesdas [censored] poor implementation and blatant money grab that got my hackles up. The Steam Workshop is the last place I would try to sell paid for mods, no QA, no transparency, direct download into your data folder overwriting existing files with no buyer end control .... a complete and utter [censored] of a system. And then to demand 75% of all sales was the icing on the cake. There are ways to sell mods but they involve time, effort and money being put in to create and maintain a functional marketplace with oversight and quality control. Also not trying to muscle into a thriving community that has existed for four years and demanding danegild helps. I've been unable to donate to mod creators or support this site because I've basically been flatout skint for ages, but now that things are looking up a bit I'm finally in a position to change that, my donations might not be enough to buy a half a cup of cold mouldy coffee but it's a start. So search down the back of the sofa for that lost loose change, you might only be able to donate $0.50 a month but it's better than nothing, and if enough of us do it we can put a smile on some poor overworked, underappreciated mod creators face. Except the SkyUI guys, if they come back they need to get a new PR guy first because the one they've currently got is a complete [censored]. p.s Everyone saying "start a Patreon" - don't know how it works in the US but outside of the US you have got to fill in a W-8BEN form to set up a Creator account. This requires a tax ID number. Now I'm registered with HMRC as self employed so I already had a tax ID when I set mine up, but for anyone else .... Short version - not as easy as you think.
  10. What are we supposed to do with all these flaming torches and pitchforks now?
