Tbh i feel hentai mania is v accurate, games with manga graphics usually require you to slog and grind to get certain armour/weapons FF anyone?

damn straight, i remember feeling so dissapointed firing my best spells and super enchanted poisen bow arrows at Dagon in IC, not only did he not try and smush me, after 5 mins he just fell unconcious, i mean really, Some wussy priest who has a shiny necklace can take down a daedric lord in 10 seconds but the greatest hero in cyrodill with a stuff form OTHER daedric lords has to spend five minutes just to knock him out?? Did martin go to the four corners of the map to get the best weapons in the game, spend ages getting his armoury skill up to pimp his armour, no , he got rescued by u from a burning city and did nothing but sit in a super safe monastery and whine at me + its hard to feel epic when the guy next to you turns into a 50ft flaming dragon and grapples with a god of destruction and your just standing there thinking "u *%&(" why didnt u do that when i died 3 times at weynon trying to save u when i started this char..... The more i think about it the angrier i get.......... p.s the only way to placate me will be to finish ur mod, sounds good

k then, ill take a lttle look see on blender and once again try and triumph over the tutorial on CS wiki (p.s by cutscenes i meant those parts where the character is immobiised and can only look, not do anyhting, even a relative noob like me knows that a video clip would be near impossible to put in) looks like this is gonna take a lot longer than i anticipated (and that wasnt short to begin with)

Im looking for someone to help with an idea thats been in the back of my mind for a while, unfornatley my CS skill is negligible at best, but, i have plenty of ideas and willing to give you most of the credit (i just want my creation to be realised) The basic premise: Trolls have been getting uppity around Bruma, countess comissions you to get her another artifact, but taking it from the troll caverns causes them to go mental, maybe some cutscenes and definetley one or two big dungeons. The pice de resistance im hoping wil be a climactic battle in Bruma so this may require knowledge of combat AIs and maybe trap mechanics (cos u just cant have enough boiling oil) . also to make the mod kinda special theres gonna be some armour, troll armour, unique textures and if possible a litte regenrative abilities. Im planning for it to be a medium lenght Q (i.e not as long but hopefully as awesome as tears of the feind or lost spires, and much longer than most vanilla qs) If you like the sound of this mod and are willing to work with a partner with many ideas but lacking in the technical department pls PM me and if your just a well wisher feel free to post ideas. thanks for your time guys.

Hello I'm new to modding and am planning to start my first one soon (already have an idea) However a few things in it will need custom meshes and i was wondering if anyone could tell me a good program to use to create them (ones with tutorials would help). Thanks

Things that might make next TES game more exciting

Assuming that everyone has enough space on their hard drive, a high enoughb performance machine to download and install in reasonable time and have the relevant maintenance addons I.E mod manager and OBSE. this is of course wether or not they want the actual file on their computer -

Ok maybe the minotaur genitals were a bit too far  I agree with you that the puzzle/ intelectual side needs to be bigged up, the only decent puzzle ive actually found in the game is the mages guild one where you have to hit the pilars with certain spells. And yeah it is pretty ironic that some of the best stuff comes not from the developers but the modders. The game on its own is pretty good buts its longevity comes from mods (que national anthem) oblivion probably would have faded into a backnote if the game wasnt constantly updated by the community (and i don't mean all that MMORPG crap). And with a community that can make such brilliant mods like better cities or UV it is owed to us to not treat us like all we want to do is smash stuff (even though it is fun) So i completely agree that more puzzles and other more intellectualy testing challenges can only be a good thing. -

I agree with you wholeheartedly Jenrai, some of the quest rewards seem either pointless or unrelated from the actual quest. As you said with the house customisation it would be great for you to display your trophies/ quest rewards there (fable style) and is much better than dropping stuff you picked up after they werent needed (e.g rose of Sithis) and trying desperatley using a combination of the grab button and telekenisis spells to make it all stay on there, making it look like less of a showpeice and more like a bundle of crap you dont need anymore dropped on the table. It would even be good to have some quests where the rewards are purely cosmetic, like "help that minotaur is killing my sheep go kill it". As well as maybe a sum of gold you woud be able to maybe display his head/horn/ severed genetalia on the wall of your home. This would also make it easier to judge your general fame and not looking at a number in the part of the menu that no one uses. well maybe thats just my opinion.. -

I think the main problem if TES V went online would be mods, if you went into someones world and they say had a bridge where you didnt in your game you would fall through the world, not to mention the horrible things that happen when two uncomopatible texture mods try to merge. If it just took everyones game back to a clean master file then people would probably end up losing their most treasured weapons and armour (and who wants to lose their beloved +2 mace of awsome/ any other great weapon mod). Finally in games like world of warcraft or star wars glaxies a bad experience with other players can put you off even the things you can accomplish on your own and no amount of ignore lists and spam filters will be able to change that. So all in all i feel that as well as being a technical nightmare, Multiplayer in TES V would ultimatley ruin the experience of it being your world. Peace out. -

dom2772 replied to David Brasher's topic in Oblivion's Discussion
I love immersion mods, but i also like the little things like a new bow or spell here and there, and sometimes a mount mod if it takes my fancy
