Here is the reasoning. Vampires can make love but are esstital unable to reproduce sexualy as a race having another method of reproduction.
There for the intial adoption makes sense. once you make the child a vampire they are blood family, your blood mixed with theres gives them a simbalence of active life, they are reborn as your true child and share your blood.
skyrim children never age anyway, so making them like claudia is fine.
Also as the mother will share your blood too, she is related to her children and there true mother.
vampires have to asign roles, where blood relationships are concerned because of the nature of there reproduction as a race. this is based on the pre existing relationship type of course.
You can make a brother a sister, and so on...all related and reborn by blood. ie your sheild brother or sister by relationship type, can become your brother or sister by litaral blood.
So only as a modded vampire can the dragonborn really have a true family.
Though because of the origion of the race all vampire lords are part daedra with the blood of the god molog in there veins no matter how distant...ie if not a pure blood.
misssed that lore...still the only way for the player to have blood family, unless there was a sim like mod to let you have kids, not to complated with cut scences and time lapse, otherwise it would crash most peoples games considering how many mods mos have.

Custom races dont work completely, none of them. I ran the fix esp mod, it wont help. Like in the darkbrotherhood kill the empeor quest, when you are impersonating the cook.
she will start to respond then say but...and trail off becuase she cant say the next line because it involvs your race and she dose not know what the hell you are.
It dose not plug in what it should, like I never thought the gormet would be a deadra/demora/snowelf.
It cant. I cant get any fix to work with mods anyway, it must be very complicated. i just want to fix with console.
You have to use the in game race mod to change into a reg race complete quest then back again.
Wont work with vampires ether, it will let you be player is vampire but not undead. You will turn undead automaticly though if you switch races on the fly.
You would need to somehow flag the character as a darkelf and keep the race for it to work, with the atributes. Quest wont complete with custom races and all the npcs know is that you are not from skyrim.
Another solution would be make a darkelf, use the eyes, and manualy add the attributes/spells to the elf via ~ console, but like the other solution this is s***.
I want the npcs to know what I am and for it to plug in the name of the race like it dose on character creation,
otherwise these custom races are not really adding a race. its just cosmetic stuff and spell not intigrated to fuction or be recignized by the game.

Never noticed with Harkon, but he's right about Miraak - that battle is so heavily scripted it's laughable and anything/anyone too powerful for what the game expects is going to have problems during that event.
one could try ether through setting or a mod to make the fight exstremly diffucult to match.

Hialgoboost gpu upgrade mod first of all, its made using mod so much better and smoother.

Both of those animations are in the vanilla game.

Is there a way? I like Werewolf playstyle, but simply couldn't like it's appearance. That's when the idea above hits me. If there's a way, then can you tell me?
I am sure it could be done with an aperence mod if someone will make such.
Werewolfs are basicly human/monster hybrids and there apearence reflexs that by definition it is a man with cursed blood who turns into a wolf. Without that he would not be one.
Otherwise you have a brutal guy fighting hand to hand with supernaral gifts or a uniqe bloodline into canablism and not a werewolf because he is not a man who turns into a wolf.
What you need in my opinion is a stat cheat mod and some modded ninja type claw hand weapons,
Yet if you insist you would simply need a modded ilusion spell so you look human when you change as silly as that might look fighting.
The reason there is no such mod that I know of is because the animations would look really off in human form...A human dude clawing at somone then trying to gore into there belly and eat them.

here is the thing if you got rid of the werewolf form....they wouldn't be a werewolf now would they. they would just be some guy running around scratching people. seriously what is with some people? this is something I just don't understand.
They would seem to have a lycanthorpric mental disorder where the person belives themselves to be a wearwolf like reinfeilds syndrom for those that think themselves vampires. Imbued with the buff: strenghth of the mad and increassed speed of the lunatic, running around naked with a wolf head hat slapping people. lol.
I think company of wolves when I think of them or like the movie silver bullet or the howling. Or in some cases the form of real wolves only larger and a bit more distinctive.
If one just wants unarmed and other buffs there are easier ways to get them why bother being a wearwolf? Just my opnion but to each there own. My characters actully stronger while not in wolf form with his enchanted armor and sword, oddly enough.With moonlight tales and other mods I just think it fun and the visals, animations and music. Also w wolf RP.

My house is full of modded women followers and so is most of white run. they half populate the city other places as well, riften, iversteed, riverwood. The sleeping giant for one has alot of non paying customers and stange people outside the city, if never hired, more life in skyrim I guess. hahaha

I would like to say, for the sake of your sanity, that if your character is seriously OP, you are going to have this problem again. For whatever reason, major bosses (Harkon, Miraak, etc) tend to bug out if you kill them too quickly. I know, because I've had this problem too. Just a friendly heads-up.
I think followers can kill bosses and it still counts if they hit you. unsure but I think so, and some modded followers follow where they are not supposed to be able to.

Sounds like he's fixed in a loop until the logical quest stage that "move him on" plays out.
Look up the quest ID again, and make note of all the numbered stages of the quest - then use the setstage command repeatedly with each stage number until you have done them all.
With any luck it'll snap him out of it back into a proper routine.
I thank you. I hope this will still work even though I have allready used the command that actully completes the quest and moved on to next one. If I had any sense I would have thought to patently try another stage as you say here, before just going by information I read elsewhere and forcing the quest to complete. I simply did not think of it in my frustration at the time.

Ok I had to complete the first join the companion quest on a character on a rather godly character that exists for a uniqe side game, I went out to the cortyard so the dude could test my arm.
Whacked him once and it seems to have blew his mind. I had to complete the quest via console. Problem is it seems to have turned him into some weird version of a follower that just stands there and unsheths his sword oddly he is freindly. But cant move from spot.
I have tried Resteting his AI, enabling and disabling him. Issing a command to open door and go back into building. He just tells me thats impossible.
Could it have destroyed his AI when I hit him? Do I need him for anything further? I was able to contune with questline but seems a shame to leave him just standing there.
I went out and did another quest came back and he is still there.
I was using the Deadric demigod from here on nexus mods a custom race with many other improvments to suit from many nexus mods, This is just for fun as a side game to see what its like but really want to contnue it.

You try to use the role play overide on dates. You run around in public without pants because as for as your concerned they dont exsist. You have no kids because you spend all your time trying to make your one handed skill legendary.

A creative rper can find many solutions, create usual conditions and situations, in a world like skyrim there is a lot of potential play in the line of reality and what is ooc, if the right things happen. As long as one dose not resort to a Deus ex machina without it truly applying to the situation in question which in skyrim is actually possible. I was more concerned with game limitations and am pleased there seem to be few in regards order and timing.

Yeah, then if that works maybe I'm overthinking this. Probobly you could tab out of the conversation and she would still be standing there waiting the following year when I come back, and whatever you tell her means nothing because the game wont let this quest fail under any cercomstances because its absolutly required. I was not sure of this but I had hoped. I mean maybe you cant really fail skyrim unless you stop playing. Maybe there is always a way to do it. Its possible the quests you can fail or close off, are only the ones that are optional. It would be nice to think so.
As for dragons I meant more dragons because of Audre and the barial mounds. Not just the ocsasional weak dragon but many powerful ones once you turn in the horn and do the innkeepers quest.
The level of the dragons you encounter is tied to your own level, and nothing else. As you get stronger, so will the dragons you meet.
I don't know where you got the idea that the main quest is non stop, it's not. Having Alduin start ressurecting dragons has very little impact. You will very rarely see him hovering over a dragon mound in the distance. If you investigate, a dragon will burst out and attack you, while he flies away. If you keep your distance, nothing. Your game won't end if you ignore him, nothing will change.
As for the Dark Brotherhood: The things you're worried about also don't happen

On the subject of temp leaving off and changing course at certain points in the game, yours is actully the most helpful post. Back when I made this thread this was the exact awnser I was looking for, and may prove useful to others as well.

Cannot load nexus mods mod site, just the forums, is it down? There was no matainence notice. Tried cached. doing a system restore on my pc and downlading and trying another browser. Lacking that it might by my secrity settings if the site is not down? I could change them and see if this helps. Is anyone else having this issue?

No beta. I'm rushing for release
Since I am likey to make full use of such a mod I will be happy to beta test its capacities and give you a full report of any glitchs within a day via privite messeging or here in your thread as you choose, with/and/ or without mods/ (mod type)as I am sure others may. Send a list and link if you wish.Of course if you the mod creator truly feel the mod is complete, I do apologise. I simply wish to be of service,...Perhaps in some small way to the comunity in support of such mods.

Complementary nexus mod Suggestion, just download and install skill config, skills, stats, repeatble exp gain or no, all in one solution to some of this. Use wisely. You do it all from a menu no need to look for anything.
It wont uncap the 100 level but will set you stats to 500 at start if you wish, skills 100...and go from there leveling without limit. Also there is the legendary feautre so its allready limitless.
Check out sacred ring of jeebus and deciples ring for follower, for massive mutiple enchants, works with enchanting. Also there is a smithing ring mod that also boosts other things you get 4 rings, check god item secetion.
Another one that gives you a bat file called bat god, that adds 10,000 regan, carry (I think) everything, hit it multiple times if you wish. Search skyrim god. More cool stuff like this on nexus too. :smile:

Thanks guys that is helpful, about the load and save commands I did not know. I was just making sure my game would not get corrupted. Now I have some ideas to help with management.

Too many = causes you to lag in caves, navagation issues because of them. Tell the extra to stay at your house.

How many save games with diff characters will skyrim hold without corruption issues. Like say if you had characters with over 100 saves. Would it effect gameplay? When would it start to?

But you can make anyone to be "in love" with the player (via console - SetRelationshipRank player 4)

It won't be a great idea making just anyone be in love with the player if you just wanna test drive them. Maybe there's a console to make them not inlove after the kiss, but it could affect their vanilla relationship that could be part of a quest. Anyways, I look forward to this. Hopefully there could be more romantic interactions with lovers and spouses.
I used Bat marryme a bat file from a mod that sets relationship rank to 4 and adds npc to marrige faction on my first attempt at the game. You see, my character wanted to marry the blacksmiths wife in riverwood. When I talked to her after that she stopped being cold and said, Hi friend, all friendly like, you know me and my husband got a child together, little Dorothy. I felt so bad I just walked off, did not use or try AP on her or amulet of mara to force marriage. Its just a game but nope, even a dark character has limits.

Why wont aknoldge you won cilvil war in game by npcs?

The rightful high queen still thinks her husbands killer is alive and that there is still a war. Many quest npcs do.
Dude is dead and his corpse can by vewied by his throne, naked and looted, with his right hand man and all the trator jarls sitting around a single table in windhelm.
I got his clothing in my inventory....he is singing with the chior invisable, pushiing up the dasies...he is an ex terrorist dictator...I saw him in solvenguard the afterlife for oblivions sake. ''Locked out of the main building of course''. Though I have no clue why whitemain is.
Point is...wars over. I am a leget war hero of skyrim, and the empire, why not aknoldge it?
I killed ulfric, the killer of kings, then systamaticly went to each of the remaning storm cloak camps and wiped them out and otherwise permantly screwed up the ones that could not be killed...but on the day of his death they did not drink nor sing....why?
I anahilted the enemy. I would think the queen at least would aknoldge I brought the murderious regicidal assasin of her husband to justice? Destroyed her enimes. Has she lost her mind in greif?
