  1. What this game needs: Full mod support. Ability to afford a second Sky Ranger. Ability to, more, sandbox the game without aliens creeping up heavily in tech. More voices. More looks, More custimization. A death cam. What I mean by this is, you click on a deceased soldier's name on the memorial wall and you are treated to a brief clip of the action they died in. Feel the guilt! Other then that, I feel it compares favorably. Also, need more Chryssalids. A lot more Chryssalids. There needs to be a terror mission where its nothing but 10 Chryssalids with 30 civilians and all AI unlocked. Just for fun.
  2. Yeah, seems like offline is the only way mods work for me. Like I was going to play multiplayer while using mods anyway.
  3. I can't seem to add the line to my hosts file. Even though my account has administrator rights, and is the only user account other than the administrator account itself, says my access is denied when I try to save the file.
  4. In other news, after the cyborgs of XCOM defeat the alien menace, they turn on humanity as a whole, having deemed metal and technology vastly superior to the potential of any flesh and psionic abilities. Bad end!
  5. Playing on Classic. They... have a better ability to dodge then muton elites. I don't know if its been addressed, but has there been a mod yet to stamp out the whole, teleporting patrols thing? Last round, a Sectopod spawned on the edge of the map, my main assault inside the UFO saw it approach. When it was my turn, I realised the damn thing teleported inside the UFO in the middle of all my squad. I mean sure it died instantly, but if I had poor luck on even half the rolls it probably would've bitchslapped damn near everybody with its lasers. Also, what program would I use to mod files, and has anybody created new researches yet? There are a lot of interesting mods out already, but none of them combine what I'm specifically lookin' for. EDIT: Derp. First Steps thread. For some reason I thought that had something to do with Second Wave.
