  1. In response to post #35110715. #35113825, #35129405, #35130485, #35130830, #35132900, #35137080, #35146975, #35148895, #35149050, #35151825, #35166735 are all replies on the same post. xJadeWolfx, I simply disagree that "every location has a story to tell." It's better than it was in Skyrim, however. Every cave/dungeon in that game felt the same. The use of Draugr as hostiles in 70% of dungeons got old fast. consummate707, using logical fallacies and name-calling won't win internet arguments. It might make you feel better, but that feeling is fleeting. Taking your argument to its logical conclusion, no one would be able to criticize anything that they aren't an expert in making. We can't have movie critics because they can't make great movies. Let's be satisfied with slop, since we aren't good cooks.

Muffindog, paying $60 dollars for a game and expecting $60 worth of content is NOT being a spoiled brat. Bethesda executives are the ones who are ungrateful for the business we choose to conduct with them.
  3. I feel like buying the season pass now to save $20, but I know I'll get disappointed again like I was with the base game. I'll probably wait a few years when everything is cheap and good mods have fully developed. This whole "Season Pass" nonsense has to end, or I'll have to find cheaper ways to entertain myself outside of video games.
  4. I'm still getting crashes after setting iNumHWThreads=2 and rearranging my load order. It seems to happen every time I approach the Super Duper Mart. I fear it's MMM spawning something that causes the CTDs because disabling MTC has no effects. By the way, I'm using the Paradox Merged version of MMM, with the Blackened compatibility patch. EDIT: A few more test runs results in general freezing during prolonged combat, usually when I'm unloading magazines into the enemy. 5. That edit is wrong. iNumHWThreads=2 is the correct edit. Also, go over your load order and make corrections. See the FWE download page for a sample of a correct load order. Just scroll to the bottom of the page. You must keep in mind that compatibility patches are to load after the mods they are patching. Otherwise the patch will be over-written by the mod. Thanks for your input. I could've sworn that iNumHWThreads should equal 4 since I have a quad core processor. I'll look at my load order too, even though LOOT ordered it the way it is now.
  6. Thanks, but I've done that already. Processor is quad-core, so I had set bUseThreadedAI=1 and iNumHWThreads=4. I made sure to tweak fallout.ini and not fallout_prefs.ini.
  7. Hello all, I'm getting frequent freezes when outside and it seems to happen even more frequently during combat. I can't be sure what specific mod is causing the issue or if there are any issues with my load order. I have made appropriate .ini performance tweaks, Fallout 3 is 4GB enabled, and I used LOOT to sort my load order. I suspect that the issue could be narrowed down to a few mods: MMM, MTC wasteland travelers, or RH Ironsights. Reducing spawns in MMM and MTC has only helped very slightly. It's not like I'm running a weak machine either; I have an i5 3570k overclocked to 4.5GHz with a 4GB GTX 770 and 8GB of RAM. I've gotten to a point where I can't play more than 5 minutes without freezing or CTD'ing, so any advice is appreciated. Load order is below. 8. I stopped reading when he went to his ALL CAPS RAGE. If you're going to do that, don't expect people to take your argument seriously. 12-year-olds do that. His views on government differ so much from mine that it invalidates the rest of his argument. I do believe the U.S. government is becoming fascist or some other monstrosity, but he is just another sheep drinking too much Kool-Aid. I don't care if he wants just one type of gun or all guns to be banned. His ignorance of the U.S. government's activities, to me, is inexcusable. /rant
  9. These corporations have no one to blame but themselves. Their own stupidity has clouded their judgement to the point that they have no respect for their customers and actively pursue in driving them away. I say shed all DRM and not make half-assed games that can only be complete (partially) through buying DLC. Nowadays, DLC is just content that should have been in the game from the start. The game companies need to give people a reason to buy their games and hopefully there will be less piracy. Also, some companies need to just die a whimpering death, like EA and Activision. Seriously, the CoD cash cow needs to come to an end. Too many stupid people rewarding a stupid company by buying their stupid games. News on a new CoD game drowns out nearly all news on any other game I might be interested in. Games should also not run $60-70 dollars when they are clearly worth half that.
  10. I wouldn't be surprised if the draft came back in the near future, since the U.S. government is growing increasingly fascist these days. I think if the draft was brought back, our next war would just be another Vietnam with mass protesting. Also, draftees aren't nearly as skilled or motivated as volunteers, so they'll just end up as cannon fodder on the front lines. Throwing away American lives is not the way to build up national unity.
  11. This won't be the death of consoles, only the death of good video games. Mindless sheep will always buy Xbox games because they are mindless. I hate the video game industry more and more these days, might as well go for indie games like Minecraft.
  12. By chump I suppose you are referring to Lamar Smith? He's more than a chump; he's the epitome of modern-day evil. Google an image of him and you'll find some nice Obama-style posters of him. I would have used it as my avatar, but the dimensions would look ugly.
  13. So long as the price doesn't continue to rise; $60 is the price ceiling for me. CoD will probably ruin that, by making their next game $70, then $80, etc.
  14. If this intrusive DRM becomes a trend in the gaming industry, then I'll just have to find something else to kill all of my free time. I WISH these satanic companies like EA, Activision, and Ubisoft go under so they don't crowd out the real gems in the market with their garbage. The overall quality of games has declined over the past couple of years, after being spearheaded by THESE companies. In the meantime, I do recommend Paradox Interactive's games, though they are known for not properly beta testing their games. They do get patched, and have a decent modding community.
  15. This Anno 2070 game that people are referring to looked cool, but all of this bad DRM protection scared me away. It's not like their DRM even works because there are already torrents up for it and they are not even that hard to find. If any game company wants to remain competitive, they need to learn to put the customers first and drop their prices by at least $20 for the $60 games. I'm pretty sure that there can be no effective DRM protection, since there are always people with the skills to code it away. I have no idea how they do it, but they do it. Otherwise, you wouldn't be hearing all of this boo-hooing over piracy.
