OTHER SOLUTION Try to uninstall all the mods you've lately added, some are crashing your system. Maybe two mods that don't work together or something like that. Using the nexus mod manager is very handy for such tasks. I had the same problem, I unticked some mods and found the culprit one in a few minutes.

It worked out fine, played out the hole story. A bummer I couldn't crash that wedding ceremony!

Thank you for your respond, i'll try it when I have found the time. I've been on holiday for the last two weeks. Continuing the questline would be nice enough.

This time I tryed to start the quest again by adding the credit letter from delvin again to my invertory by console commands, but this didn't work.

all stages at are 0 .. but talking to astrid doesn't give me the option to begin the quest again.. getstage DB05 gives me 0.00 SetObjectiveCompleted DB05 0 1 doesn't work either or SetStage DB05 0 doesn't work either..

The help bottom doesn't work for the bound until death quest to many things match with the words of the quest, I don't know how to ask mutliple words at the same time. But it doesn't resolve the problem, but I think the DB05 must be right. But the resetquest command doesn't work, so I have no idea how to start the quest and what to look for in the help command thing you mentioned.. ___ So any one an idea how to trigger the quest??

Sorry if this a bit late, didn't have time to play skyrim. But this doesn't work for me, is the DB05 right? It's the reference on wiki, but maybe it's wrong.. I don't know.. my quest just didn't start but the conversation about the wedding and the assassination did... It just ended but i had the option to ask her to tell her about herself and I clicked on it.. maybe this caused the quest not being triggered..

Just finished all the killing contracts, seemed some NPC I already killed while travelling around.

ow the invite is from the elemer reception a totally other quest... the usual quest didnt start

Few ideas, are there console commands which can get me start this quest within quest log? I don't know how this works maybe someone can explain me.. I tryed a few things, but had errormessage or no reaction from the game.

Another BUMP still doesn't start.. UPDATE: After I talked her about the new quest, I asked her what she could tell about herself.. it was an option.. maybe this schrewed it up?? Do mind I did get the invitation and I did went to the church of the Divine or something.. even checked youtube to be sure of it's location.. Bumping not allowed - please read the rules. Bound until death will not start The quest within the Dark Brotherhood line won't start So I completed the quest The Silence Has Been Broken and retrieved Delvin's credit paper to Astrid. Now she said I needed to go to the wedding and kill the bride, she gave me an invitation, but the quest didn't showed up in my quest journal.. Anyway I went to solitude and waited a few days for the wedding to begin, but alas it didn't start.. Then I payed of my bounty at solitude occuring 10.000 gold.. I did some more contracts for the dark brotherhood.. but no result.. Does anyone know how I get the quest somehow started or do I need to wait till the 10th of Rain day as said on the invitation?? ____ Invitation is WRONG! This is from another quest for the thalmor embassy. Sorry, quest just didn't start.. mistaken myself with the invitation. BUT still cant initiate the quest, what is wrong?

I got a great computer with 6 GB memory and 1.6 GHz i7 processors, this couldn't be the issue. I only installed the normal mod HD mod by bethesda. But I found it yesterday, the mod Warzones messed it up.. I remembered defeating units outside of whiterun with another charachter so i was thinking this might cause the crash and it did.. let me post at their forum

No I haven't experienced any crash to desktop before.. This is my third character, just level 10 .. Now today it said the file was corrupted.. so i took a load back to a none corrupted file and quickly played back to the same point, without making any mistakes.. (I didn't try this before, because this was an two hour gameplay back.. but succudeeded doing it within an hour now..) But crash still occured.. very very strange

Nobody any idea about a fix?

Or.. I killed the red guard woman hidden within whiterun at the whiterun stables.. her body should still be there.. not sure if this causes crashes

SOLVED Desktop Crash: Battle of Whiterun My game closes itselfs when a loading screen shoudl appear So I'm sided the imperial army and I'm just got the order to go outside whiterun to defend it's gates, because the stormcloaks are attacking. Now everytime I open the gate, a loading screen pops up for 1 second and then my game crashes to the desktop. I tried several things and several saves back, but I don't got many back.. I've spended already more then 1 hour trying to get this to work. The mod "Open cities" doesn't help either.. loading screen is just hidden and crash starts at an earlier radius away from the gate. -- One thing that might caused the issue: I'm entering dragons reach at the point to give the axe to braluuf (or something) but he's not on his throne so a press 'T' and wait a few hours. Now I give him the axe, but at the background I hear a legionairy already telling everyone that stormcloask are attacking.. after that I accept the quest from the legionairy and I start the quest to go to the barricade, crashing at the point where you try to open the gate to leave whiterun.
