In response to post #75850513. #75851898, #75852638, #75853293, #75853933 are all replies on the same post. Sincerely... I rather beeing hacked than doing all you said... even if it was certain that I would be hacked xD Well... alright, that's an exageration but the point is... I don't think it won't happend to me, I know it can happen to me... but if I found logic to do so many steps to protec myself on the internet, I should wear armor when I go to the street. The thing is... bad people will do bad things, I prefer to pay consecuences after someone bad do me bad, than paying consecuences just to avoid it. Life's to short to be so worried about it. Aaaaand statistically it is not so common beeing hacked. I'm more worried about the flu and car accidents and cancer (since I smoke). (Oh, and I think my data are leaked, since I am one of those that use the same password accros everywhere... not because I think it is safe, but because I don't care... and recently someone changed the password from that e-mail account, so maybe it's Nexus fault that... I don't even know if they have acces to pay anything with that account... should I find any weird payout I will worry and go to the police and do what is needed. Even if it has already happened to me it doesn't change my mind I rather live "insecure" than live obsesed with security.

Aaaaaaalright. I know this thread is not active since 2014, so I doubt that my answer would help the OP. But, since it is also the first result that Google showed me when searching for "UNP texture seam on legs", and in the first page of results I found no useful information, and I managed to fix it for myself, I guess I'll leave the answer to which my problem was for if someone finds it useful: As Jeir states, if your textures are missmatched for your bodytype sure problems would arise. My problem was that I double-triple-eneadly checked that the textures were apropiate for the body. But the gaps still appeared. The fault was in my side of course. As adventorous as I am, I was using GIMP to do some fine tuning to add some details I wanted to the body textures... The way I discovered there should be something in this process that was messing things was that reinstalling original UNP textures manually fixed the gaps (I was not using original UNP textures as a base in my project but Demoniac's, though that shouldn't matter). Then if I simply took the working main UNP texture, added it as a layer in my project, recombine all the layers in it and then export it again the gaps reappeared. So... despite beeing a total noob with textures, GIMP or anything related I considered that only format or size could be the variables changed... And as such discovered that my exported project had a size file of 4096x4150 instead of 4096x4096. The offender: One layer that I had moved around outside of the image canvas but I didn't knew that images outside of the canvas already add their size to the total image size. So I croped the image size to the canvas size and everything worked again. TL;DR: If you see gaps and your texture should be apropiate for your body type, check the size of the image. For a body it should be 1024x1024 or 2048x2048 or 4096x4096 or 8192x8192. If both numbers are not matched, that's probably the cause of the gaps.

'm answering just to say that after one week playing those artifacts doesn't seem to have reapeared so it seems one or both of the solutions above seem to have worked :) -

"Whenever I play Fallout 4, the character starts with square rainbow colored skin." That fix you say is for that. "There is also severe asset glitching making it impossible to see anything in-game and leaving me feeling ill." That is the common problem we both seem to have... though his seems a bit different to mine, both in where those pannels appear and that in my case they are not usual at all in his they were permanent. I'm midtrhough reinstalling everything... -

Thanks Gromulos!! I crossed myself with that page more than a week ago investigating the problem and forgot about it. At that time Uninstalling and Reinstalling graph drivers seemed a bit extreme to me.. Since I was not sure if our issues were the same because I didn't experienced rainbow textures nor the rest of issues that guy had... (and neither do have an integrated Intel GPU, just my NVIDIA's). And last time I theorically uninstalled and reinstalled drivers *manually* did a mess and had to restore my PC to a previous state and later do hard googling in order to get GPU to self update again... But... in fact I remember what I did wrong that time so... ok... I'll try to reinstall everything. Wish me good luck, I need it. -

Ok, since I think I follow your way of thinking I tryed to stress computer a bit. My CPU is a i7-6700K. Despite beeing from the K series I didn't overclock it. GPU is NVIDIA GTX 1080. Not overclocked either. I closed windows and shut the door to let my room become an oven (spanish summer, ya know). I opened Minecraft and exploted a glitch so that the character keeps doing things even after changing windows forcing computer to keep doing calculations, full render distance with shaders. I opened JAVA and programmed one file that is continously beeing written on and erased so that Hard Drive (and a bit of CPU) never rest in a 2nd plane. Then jumped in Fallout and have tryed to do a normal gameplay messing around with things for 2 hours. Haven't been "lucky" enough to get pilars yet but I'm sweating to much already, time to turn on air cooler xD Acording to my computer thermometers in this conditions, ambient temperature is 33ºC, CPU Temperature is 77ºC, GPU temperature is 80ºC (and the max they've reached for this whole time according to historic is 81 and 83 respectively). Once I see a pilar I'll update temperature recordings, I'm letting my drivers monitor it on a second plane to check it later, but at least I see I don't have a general overheating problem, still need to check if there it happens any peak anytime... (and if it is related). -

Nassens replied to Nassens's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Needed to do a long testing since I said the pilars only appear when they want to, but they are still present even after lowering graphics. Thanks a lot for your help Gromulos, I don't want to appear as if I don't apreciate. I hope we manage to find what's causing it... For now between some random reads around I'm suspecting of a texture of something probably changed by a mod that behaves weird with lighting... if only I could force them to appear to do some testing... -

I insisted a lot but defentevetly when I'm in front of one of those pannels what I actually click is what it is behind it. -
What's this!? (Graphical Gltich I call 'black pannels of death')
Nassens replied to Nassens's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Going to bed now, tomorrow I'll check it, but... two questions: If I do as you state, since the problem happens whenever it wants wherever it wants, and after reloading they usually disappear and randomly reappear later in other places... you mean that I should not see any more pilars ever or just that one I pointed the first time, because usually after quiting the game I wouldn't see it anyway? Second, I atempted to click on them before, usually clicking around the screen area I got a reference starting with "00" but since some times depending where I clicked reference changed I guessed that what I was actually clicking was what it were behind the pannel... As I say, tomorrow I'll try, just allow me to doubt it beeing the graph card, I am more than confident that it works great with other intensive games (and with this one, since in the past I played it with no problems), that's why I'm trying to narrow to a mod or something which textures might be... somewhat broken? Truth is I don't know a bit of what it even is, so... -
What's this!? (Graphical Gltich I call 'black pannels of death')
Nassens replied to Nassens's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Just tryed both ideas, thank you, but none of them worked. Pilars doesn't have specific ID. I think I in fact click things trough them. Anyway, if it where a texture mod, chances are they wouldn't be using an esp slot... De-activating/Re-activating did nothing either :/ They behavie really weird when I get close, like if they where composed of various pannels some of which appear some of which disappear depending on the direction I look. -
As title says, I encounter this things randomly. I've googled before posting but I've found only things about missaligned texture or sudden black textures of actual things (not sky pilars conquering the world). In those places they answered that it could be a lack of power in graphics cards. I'm using NVIDIA 1080 so that SHOULDN'T be the problem. I've never seen them in interior cells. I rarely see them on random outside cells. I see them quite often around Diamond City. They happen A LOT inside Diamond City. They don't happend consistently but once they appear they are persistant until game reboot. What I mean with that is that if I close the game then reopen it in a save where I am already in front of one of them, it is gone. It might never occur again in the same location even (or do so), but until I close the game, even if I change cells or go interior-exterior, they will still be in the exact same places. I've tryed waiting in front of one of them at intervals checking if time of day or weather affected them somehow (they don't). Yet just once in my life I left Diamond City with one of them inside, did some playin' and quests and after coming back it was not there anymore (I mean this happened in the same game session). Turning on and off the ENB does nothing to them. As you can see in the images periphereal vision makes them go away, but the moment you look barely straight to their position they reappear (btw: I've noticed lots of items that vanish in periphereal vision while some others do not, does this have any explanation or fix?). I've tryed a bit randomly uninstalling some texture mods I use, but since I cannot force the bug to happend (it just kicks in whenever it wants) troubleshooting it that way without even a clue that it could be a texture mod the culprit at all seems like a hell to me. Thanks to anybody that can bring some light to this darkness' invasion

No mod for enemies always showing in compass?

No mod for enemies always showing in compass?
Nassens replied to Nassens's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
*Bump* Also, I write again to request if someone could help me to attempt such a mod myself if it's not that hard... Im not afraid of using tools as fo4edit or creation kit, but ive got not the knowledge from where to begin... I mean I donn't know if I should seek in detection or in hud elements. Nor even where to find within those tools records or what to change. I guess this kind of mod is beyond my abilities (this far Ive just tryed opening others mods' and tweaking values here and there...) but... well, should anybody have a clue of what could I try or what specifics tutorials I could investigate to fullfill this task I don't mind giving it a try. -
Hello everybody. I'm making this question just for curiosity... I've been searching for this for a while on Nexus and Elsewyr also to no avail. I don't want to start a debate here of how better things are now or how worse. The whole point of mods is for us all having the game the way we want. And in my case I like to have enemies always marked in red in my compass like they were in FO3/FNV. Not using recon scopes, power armor mods, etc...: I want them to show always and forever just depending on distance from me and my perception SPECIAL. Not after "caution" state, also in "hidden" (like in FO3 and FNV). And since the game have already built in the percepcion based distance to put red markers on the compass while in combat and the recon scope system to mark enemies out of combat... I thought that it would be one of the more easy mods to find out there. So I was really surprised not to find any (there are mods that restore compass in survival difficulty and mods that remove completly markers in compass, but not this). So my question is not a complain. I know by far that mod authors are people who dedicatly give their spare time creating incredible mods for the joy of us users. I'm not demanding anything. I'm just curious about this subject: why does this mod doesn't exist since it would be a pretty obvious modification to do (in the functional level)? Is it technically that hard to implement and those two already built in systems cannot be used to achieve the result? Is there any conspiracy behind scenes of which I know nothing that consider mods like allowing you to tgm back in survival legit but definetly having a permanent aware compas is beyond limits? Does the mod exists but I'm so noob in searching both in Nexus, in LL and in Google that I haven't found it? Am I the only human on earth that want this feature back? As I said, I write this just for curiosity, to have some talk about the subject with someone who understand better this thing. I'm intrigued about it.

Organizing your ideas is important but not essential. It depends a lot on the person itself and what you are about to write. As you say, quests and dialogs, probably don't need if you have good control over your mind, to have premade texts; but even if you were a genius, some other kind of problems NEED some previous work. For example, right now I am in a mid-lenght personal project, on writing a philosophy treatise (I have recently finished the philosophy degree), so for something as complex, you need to do lots of previous work, if you want it to be professional, specially because in philosophy everything must be as clear as possible, and you need to have a perfect picture about the whole you are going to talk about and ensure that everything is related as it should be, and explained as needed, and that nothing are "free words", but everything is logically derivated from other previous statements. You can have some brainstorm and let the thinking flow at early stages, it is even adviceable, but later you must organice it all. This also aplies to huge and complex novels, not every book need to be organiced from the begining, but if you are going to write something of over 500 pages in which there is going to be complex relations between characters and some dynamic plot, you'll get into troubles if you haven't done some previous work about what it is going to happen. That doesn't means that you can't let some parts simply flow, or that you can't decide to change your original plan in the middle if you feel it is better some other way; but you will thank a lot yourself later if you have done some previous notes before starting a huge project. This also helps to avoid the "blank page disease". When you just let your creativity develop itself you cand easily end into some narrow close corridors, and have to chose between letting it at blank until you have inspiration agian, which usually leads to abandon the project at all, or to do a very quick and messy fix. With an organiced plan you know what is leading to what so you don't get into narrow places; also, even if you get stuck at a point of your novel, you can keep writing the rest and go back to the tricky part at the end, which probably would also give you ideas on how to solve your problem. As I said, it depends a lot in what are you about to write. For the fantasy books I wrote I did pretty little previous work, just some guidelines about the porpouse of the plot and the novel itself. But for realistic novels, for example, in which I pretend to focus on relationships between characters and a plot that also have philosophical intentions, I have come to the conclusion that planification is essential to reach a good quality in writing. But this is not a master key; for example, the last fantasy book I wrote was just about 200 pages, but since more than a fantasy book it was a very symbolical and psicologiocal novel I found myself needing also lots of notes about the meaning of everything and having to plan nearly every step to give it the consistency I wanted to give it. Also there is another resource I find pretty useful, when plots grow and you have to manage lots of paralel situations and characters you can't imagine how useful it is. I call it the "book of the present". In it I constaly update any present situation as quick notes, like what are all the characters wearing at the moment, how many money do they carry, where they exacly are, have they died their hair, is there a trafic collapse in some relevant street for the novel etc... and some future and past information directly related, are they heading to somewhere, do they know what it is happening somewhere else, have them some incoming bills to pay, etc... As an example, being much younger, I found myself using a death character 15 chapters later just because I forgot I killed him; well, obviously this kind of things don't need to be writen at all once you get skilled at writing; some lots of minor "bugs" can happen if you don't keep track of what's going on in the present. For example, imagine you do a young character that goes to a party with some money, and you said in your book that he spent it all in drinking; then later he gets involved into some harsh situation which keep him away from home. Then you go to the story of another character for a couple of chapters, and later on you go back and after he have solved the problems he had you say he comes into a bar and ask for a coffee to indulge himself some time. Well, how did he pay the coffee if he have already spent all the money he carried. And that kind of "bugs" may happen everywhere; about clothing, about places (didn't you say 10 chapters before that the window was broken, then why do they close it now?), and everything. In some novels details are very important and in those cases, you need to have some good way to get rid of them, and even if you are a genius, some details will disapear from your mind if you don't write them.

I think that appart of "Name, last update, knowledge, style, skill and sample", we should at to the template a tag like "state" in which we shoud write something like "free", "partially free" or "in a project" so that, if ideally people come here to search for a writter, they can easily know wich one of us are busy and which not in order to contact. Also if this got bigger may be you should copy in the OP the "aplications" of all writers to avoid people having to search through the pages of the topic. Just some ideas :)

You are welcome! I'll be happy to help you. If needed I could even also try to record myself (and may be some friends) for any kind of custom dialogs VAs in spanish, but I can promise you that the records won't be very professional xD (we have nor the apropiate recording machines, nor the apropiate knowledge of interpretation)

Hello there! I'll follow the OP structure: Name: Nassens Availability: In a project. Last updated: 9 - 13 - 14 Account activity: Weekly, at least. Contact info: PM me on the Nexus forum. Knolewdge: I have good knowledge about the lore of Skyrim, and modest knowledge about the lore of TES in general. Style: I'm an independient professional writer in my country (Spain), and I have some deep knowledge on whatever related to stylish writing; from the point of the initial brainstorm of any book to the taking of commercial decisions on the format of the end product, and the everything in between. I am also a specialist in the character develop, growth/evolution, credibility, and appealing. Also very familiar with writing fantasy. I have taken lessons on cinema script and dialogs to. My counter part is that english is not my mother languaje, so it takes me extra time when writting in english to avoid misspelling or grammar errors. Skills: I can develop from the zero point or working hand by hand with the modder any kind of plot, dialogs or personalities in order to give it any desired taste and a professional cut. I can also translate with great quality anything from english to spanish, or with an overall good quality from spanish to english. I have some little skills at programming and no fear of using and learning any kind of tools, so if for the job I need to learn how to use any kind of program I can do it, but if I am required to write some code then I'll need some very good explanations. I'm absolutely useless in any kind of graphical arts. Samples: I haven't been "hired" here yet  and my IRL writings are all in spanish...

Hello there! "Fiiiiiiinaly" I have managed to finish checking, downloading and installing all the mods I'd want to use in my new ride to a huge modded Skyrim. I have done it pretty carefully, reading everything about compatibilities and following any special procedure if needed; but for the sake of not losing my real life in the process, I haven't tested it all mod by mod, instead, I just did some tests after installing some packs of lots of mods. Now that I have it all installed, I have starting playing and doing some test and everything seems, smooth, stable, and working (except that for some reason I can't fight unarmed, which is something I can live with); which cheers myself, because debugging them all would have been a pain in the ass. But since I've never have these many mods loaded at a time before I'm afraid that everything could explode at any time. That's why I am asking you for help, for a couple of days I'll be testing everything more than playing, but if nothing explodes, I'll begin a new save an start playing Skyrim. I really don't want to find that after a 50 hours savegame, I can't complete Alduin quest for example because something screwed it up or something, or that, whenever I get near solitude my game will crash, or that all the saves I made since I equiped [random mod weapon] are corrupted now, etc.... That's why I'll post here my mods' load order. If anybody have some time, please check if there is something wrong; or in conflicts between mods I might not know of, or in the order in which I set them. If you don't have time enough, don't you worry, as I tell you, everything seems alright (crossing fingers), I'm posting for the "justincase". Anyway, thank you a lot for your time. Hello everybody!, I'll use this topic first to briefly say hello to the Nexus Community. If you check my profile you'd see that I am not a new user, but the truth is that I never decided to post anything on the forums at all. Well, sorry for that, there's no excuse I guess; anyway, now I'm playing a new round with Skyrim and I have started to think that I have taken to much of this community and it's "mods" without saying even "thank you", and that it was the time that I contributed with something. Then, here I come, to offer my help to any modder out there that might find me usefull somehow. I'm not good at programming (I know a little bit about it, but not enough to consider doing any serious modding), and I am completly useless in anything related to graphical arts... but I have got some other skills that can be usefull to someone. What can I do? Anything related to writing or translation. I am an independient professional writer in my country (Spain), so I've got good knowledge about how to write "properly". In the other hand, english is not my mother languaje, so I don't feel so strong with it, but I understand it perfectly, and given the adequate amount of time, I can write anything in english with no problem I hope. So these are the things I can easily do for anyone on request: Translation: Translate anything from english to spanish: This is something I can do quickly, and I guess, with a professional quality. Translate anything from spanish to english: In this case, it would take me some extra time if I must translate something like plots and dialogues, in order to avoid committing grammar or misspelling mistakes, but I can do it with an overall good quality. For doing any of those things, all I would need would be the files that need to be translated, the programs to manage them, and maybe, some explanations about how to use those programs. Writing and cooperative develop (in english or professionaly in spanish): If anyone is interested on developing or improving one mod which adds "extra content" to the game, and feel like he wants to give dialogs a natural feeling, or some in the end professional touch to the plot, or what ever else anybody might consider an independient professional writer could be of some use, feel free to contact me to. In these case, obviously, we would need (the modder and I) to have some good communication, and work hand by hand. So, if you think I can help you somehow, feel free to write me here or PM me. For at least a month I'll have lots of free time, until I need to start a new project, so I'm here if you can find me any use .
