  1. ahhh ok so the gun wont look 3-D till i add a n. map..... well then that makes more sense!!!! Nice, I am also thinking of just making a bunch of models of fun games- crysis, halo, section 8, ranger armor on NV, ect.- but not really making them game specific so when a EPIC game(skyrim) comes out I will be able to already have the resources readily available to make some awesome mods :) ?so it doesnt matter AS much if the model is detailed as it matters that the texture is detailed? Can you think of any more awesome games I should start modeling? cause Skyrim is not coming out till 11.11.11
  2. hahahah thats pretty cool... Ya I have looked into UV mapping but the problem is getting the texture either detailed or "3-D" looking, not so much on UV mapping. I guess if I just sit down this Saturday and not try to do it so fast I might be able to make a good one :? but who knows.... Oh and thanks I have been thinking about making all of the halo weapons and armor and such, which is ironic considering your project!!!

  4. I am in need of some help with texturing a model I have been making, and am wondering if anyone could push me in the right direction or be my partner(for now :)...... It is a replica of the Halo Reach Sniper Rifle but doesn't necessarily have to be the same colors. I know that oblivion might have to do more with swords n' bows but I was told I could possibly find the necessary help here. I thank you for all help and criticism!!!!   5. I am making my 1st model and am using the Fallout 3 sniper rifle as a 'base'. I have the meshes complete but when I save and exit then load again, the Clip and Bolt Action Lever go back to their original places, but the scope doesn't.... Also the clip and bolt have some sort of dashed line to them.... Is there a way to save them to the positions that I want them to be at?

  7. I have been editing the Fallout 3 sniper rifle.... Once I put the model in the right places relative to the texture, I pushed alt-z..... but all of the textures have seemed to appear on the opposite side of the faces, making the gun see through to the opposite side & vise versa.... It has even done it to the parts I haven't edited. Is there a simple way of fixing this or would i have to go to the UV editor and 'flip' the UV's???? Also would it just be easier to make it a solid color?
  8. Yes I now realised I was trying to create a face between 2 cubes, when i should have been joining them as you said.....
  9. I'm currently trying to make/edit my first model for Fallout 3 in Blender, but when I push "F" with 2 objects that I want to join it says " UV/Face Select was removed. Editmode now allows UV editing, Add a UV layer or Unwrap (UKey)"...... Since I will be making my own UV's after I am done editing it, should I delete the UV's now to be able to make a face between 2 objects?
  10. I am trying to export a simple model, cube w\ face, from .blend to .nif but when i do i get this error(in Picture)... I looked and made sure the Material.002 is set to UV (in 2nd pic), but it still wont work... Is there something wlse i need to check?
  11. I am trying to install blender to make models for Fallout 3, but whenever i try to install Blender and Python it always says python is not installed... I have tried to get help here http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Doc:Manual/Introduction/Installing_Blender/Python but it still wont work... i used to have it installed a couple months ago but I wiped my hard drive. Is there certain versions i need, or some place i supposed to install everything?
  12. Well i would like to make a gun like in Mass Effect 1/2 that was all red and cool and then folded away as you holstered it but i dont know if thats even remostly possible
  13. I have gone to many different sites and different topics (on this site as well as others) and i have yet to find a detailed description of how to modify Fallout 3 Weapons and Armour.... All I am asking that an experienced Modder could give me a list of FREE tools ,and tutorials on how to use them, that i could use to make my own things... I have never done any of this kinda stuff other than VERY basic things in G.E.C.K.... this has always interested me but i have never been able to find much information on how to do it. P.S. It would be very cool (but probably out of the question) if you could write the tutorial yourself and either send it to me via email or here

  16. How exactly to you save a "base/player house" in the G.E.C.K. program? Whenever i try to save my current project it says that "it cant be saved because it is a master file/plugin or is being used" and when i save it as a new name it will save, then when i load the new version it is only what i added not the whole project?? Can anyone tell me how to save it the right way??
  17. WOW i did not know it was illegal :/ . . . why would that be illegal if you bought 2 games form same company and put them together??? And what would i need if i wanted to make my own models and things like that for Fallout 3??

  19. When i start the program it says "The ordinal 5360 could not be located in the dynamic link library xlive.dll" how can i fix this? I have windows 7 & update 1.7 for fallout 3
  20. Ok, I have Fallout 3, G.E.C.K, & FOMM. I was wondering if there would be a way for me to use the Morrowind GOTY esm in G.E.C.K or FOMM to add things from that game to the Fallout 3 world?? Here Is a Pic of the files
