  1. I would just like to say this. I have Skyrim, but for the Xbox 360. I can not wait until this mod is released. That is how amazingly fantastic- nay, bodacious, this mod is. By the way, if nothing else, could you add the same glowy blue effect that zombies and thralls have to the liches? That way you at least get a small indication that you are undead. Plus, do you have an animator? I can not remember. Will there be new spell animations, or staff animations? I only say this because I remember a mod for Oblivion (Which I do have) where the animations for the staves were replaced by the lich ones, so you floated everywhere and did these awesome spell and staff attacks. That would be fantastic. Though, I understand that you are probably focusing on getting the main stuff done before prettying it up, if you ever do get round to it. Thanks for reading.
  2. I don't think they are, because this mod is about making a dragon riding mod/faction, not about mixing Inheritance lore with Skyrim. They just stated that as an example to give an idea of what the mod would be like. Back, Inheritance fanboys/girls, back!
  3. Actually, I think that the idea of not being able to swim comes from some lore saying that vampires could not cross running water, like streams and rivers. So I can see the reasoning, but I agree with the fact that the sinking thing is bad, you could get trapped really easily by accident. Although I believe people were discussing the idea of water walking, which wouldn't be quite so game breaking. Also, an idea for all the easter eggs would be to release a version of the mod with the immersion breaking stuff, and one without. Like a Vampire Overhaul: Lolage Edition. As for my humble thoughts on the powers/drawbacks, I think it should be a balance between getting more and less weaknesses as you level up. Like, you would start with a few weaknesses, and keep getting more, but there should be a point where you stop getting weaker and start getting less weaknesses again. And the Master Vampire (or whatever) would have no penalties to his health/magicka/stamina, but would not regenerate them, like they are using up stored energy. And I too have little to no knowledge on modding, just an overactive imagination and a desire to provide input as humbly as I can. *bow scrape scrape grovel*
  4. But immunity to sunlight of any kind would unbalance being a vampire, regardless of whether or not you need a quest to get. I get that it is in some lore, but for the purposes of this mod and maintaining balance, in my opinion, there needs to be a trade off of powers and weaknesses. But maybe there could be a special perk type thing that reduces sun damage back to when you were a first level vampire, or something. Oh, and for more ideas, a player house, like a vampire lair, would be awesome. And you could be more powerful while you are there, like you are powered by it's dark energy. Kinda like what that person said about having a mist spell where you could detect life, only it's in and around your house, and you could be attacked by some vampire hunters in a quest, and you could have fun picking them off, one by one. And on powers, are you sure about that wolf thing? I mean, I know it was Dracula lore (I think) but Dracula didn't have Werewolves (Again, I think). Skyrim does. You still need to remain true enough to Elderscrolls lore, right? Or wrong. I mean, this is your mod, you can do what you like. It's just my opinion. Seriously, seriously love this mod idea though, I am playing as a vampire with one of my characters and while fun, I agree Vampirism (love that word) needs a real makeover, to make it more fun and unique. Right now playing Werewolf beats Vampire hands down! Can''t have that! Keep working at it, carry on being awesome, and you can do this! Walk with the shadows...
  5. I think I agree with DrakenKoren on their point. The dragons in Skyrim are not exactly the most sentimental beings. But, I think that some could come over to the Dovahkin's way of thinking, and perhaps form a working (if a bit uneasy) alliance. After all, Paarthunax can't be the only dragon that's a little curious about humans. We have heard about some dragons who have worked with humans, like the ones that taught humans the Thuum (if that wasn't all Paarthunax). I think I have even read something about how a dragon worked for Tiber Septim as a soldier, or something. So, the idea of a draconic alliance is perhaps not too farfetched. And I think that the mod should be kept as close to skyrim lore as possible. I sort of got the idea that this was about modifying Inheritance lore to fit in with Skyrim's lore, not the other way around. Taking bit's from Inheritance as a guide or inspiration to help make the premise of the mod more plausible and work better. I also like what some people are saying about the Dragonriders of Pern idea. I have read (most of) this series and like the idea of the new riders acting as the town's defense force, but the Dragon Riders would probably start small, not big enough to protect everywhere. And bowlofPetunias, I think that eventually, if the Dragonriders got big enough to start doing serious help as evidence that not all dragons will try to kill them, the citizens and holds will start to trust the idea of an alliance more, maybe even accept it as a part of life. But it would a while. (I apologize for the rambly mess I call a post, it's my first ever post and I sort of wanted to try and get everything I was thinking into it. I really like this mod idea and hope it goes well. I wish I could help, but pointing out things and giving little ideas from the sidelines is really all I can do. Sorry.
