  1. Again, this was a smart-ass response with little to no value at all. And you played yourself with the creators actually chiming in. Maybe reconsider some things buddy lol. I'll be curious if you get salty and respond to this, cuz either way, I'm never opening this thread again to see it.
  2. This does make a lot of sense, although I do want to ask: if there are more extensions set up to automate this way, why am I only experiencing this with these 2 specific extensions? Would it be that the list of bundled extensions periodically changes with Vortex updates? I'd also be interested to ask why the "bundled" extensions aren't something that can be customized? May be something to consider in the future. Thank you for giving a straightforward and well-explained answer.
  3. Again, considering the fact that I have literally deleted both of these extensions, without initializing the auto-redownload, and the application still functions 100% as otherwise intended, that is absolute and total proof that these are not part of the "core program," but additional functionalities forced into the extensions menu. I do indeed understand the functional purpose and convenience of having such an auto-redownload feature, but having this implemented for these 2 specific games, and no option to enable them for the extensions of whatever games you choose, is questionable at best. Especially if those games are not even detected on the device. I never made some arbitrary request for the developers to "make the program worse," and as it just so happens, when you right click your extensions, there is no "auto-redownload" button. What does that button say? "Remove." Now, I'm NOT straight up saying this definitely isn't the intended functionality of those 2 very specific extensions by the developers, but you would imagine they would label it as such if it was. Considering the fact that seemingly neither of you are developers or admins with legitimate insight into the decision making processes of these things, in addition to the fact that I'm repeatedly deconstructing your (lack of) logic and reasoning, I would have to say whatever remaining input you have is very likely going to be devoid of any value whatsoever. If an actual admin chooses to chime in, that would be legitimately helpful. If not, than yes, I do in fact have the capacity to just ignore and forget about it.
  4. Again, I have to fundamentally disagree with the part about it being "part of the program." If it was a fundamental piece of the application, you wouldn't have the option to remove it. It's not a requirement, it's not a necessity, it's not something that has to be there for the application to function. These extensions are add-ons that they've chosen to include by default, for one reason or another. I can, and already have deleted them off of the machine, it's just when I remove them from the extensions list, Vortex decides to download them again. It's considerably absurd for a total stranger to tell me that yes, it is unreasonable for me to get to choose what's on my own computer. We're not talking about file formats in Microsoft Word, or back-end scripts in some banking platform. These are compatability extensions for modifying specific videogames, in a piece of software where extensions are otherwise completely optional and/or customizable.
  5. My issue isn't that of the space they occupy, I know they're insignificant in size. My issue is that of OCD, and that I don't want them there, and that they have no reason to be there. "Leave them alone" is not a solution for me. Furthermore, I do not believe it is unreasonable to desire the capacity to choose what content does and doesn't live on my personal computer.
  6. If it was an integrated part of the program, you wouldn't have the option to delete it at all. Previous versions of Vortex did not automatically redownload them after removal either, and they are clearly not requirements for operation of the base program.
  7. Vortex (current and up-to-date) keeps automatically downloading extensions for Baldur’s Gate 3 and No Man’s Sky, two games I do not even own, every time I start the app. I can delete them both, and they will automatically be redownloaded when I launch the app again. How do I stop and prevent this? (Am using current version of Windows 10 x64)
