  1. I have it down to where I can add the rad resistance. Even figured out how to add SPECIAL stats. How would I do it though if I had a particular set of clothing that I wanted to add all resistances and create a basic all purpose set of armor that I could use without having to concern myself with power armor, leather or metal/raider pieces or whatever? I thought maybe there was an all option on the pull down menu but I didn't see it there. And I tried to add them individually all on the same line but once I did, I couldn't get it to save properly.

  2. Sure, I can tell you. It's simple :D

    Open up FO4Edit, de-select all the other mods, then select just the mod which has the hazmat suit that you want to edit.

    Under that mod, expand the Armor section.

    Find the hazmat suit - it might help to look at the three organization buttons at the top of the mods list and click the Name text, so that all the armors are organized by name.

     

    Now, over on the right side of the screen it shows all the armor attributes and whatnot.

    Scroll down to the DAMA - Resistances (sorted) section.

    In the white space beside the DAMA - Resistances (sorted) text, right-click, and then click Add.

    Now you should have a Resistance expandable section which has a Damage Type of NULL.

    Double-click on the NULL text, and just scroll with your mouse's scroll wheel until you see dtRadiationExposure. Or type in dtRad and it'll show up.

    Then underneath where the text says Value 0, just change the 0 into a 1000 or whatever you want,

     

    The hazmat suit might show up under Clothing instead of Armor.

    Let me know if my instructions are bad. If so i'll go ahead and make a quick video for you. :3

    Thank you so much. I tried with FO4Edit and couldn't get it to save. So I took a look at Creation Kit and got even more confused. Now with your instructions, I should be able to get through it. I appreciate the assist,

  3. Update . . . I created a second profile in NMM and deactivated all of the .esps. The missing menu items came back, obviously it is a mod. Now I just have to figure out if it was a conflict, a load order issue or something else, and where the problem was. So, is there a better way than doing it one mod (or a few) at a time?

  4. I am missing the electrical powered wall posters in the wall decorations. I have tried every menu fix mod I can find. I have been advised never do a complete uninstall/reinstall but I don't have any other ideas. Does anyone know of a sure fire way to restore the menu? Any help would be appreciated. I am trying to avoid the reinstall, but I may not have an option.

    How to make armor mods (FO4Edit)

    Because you mentioned saving and getting it to show in game, I assume you want to create a new outfit.

    Something like that, I think. I had an outfit that had massive body clipping through the clothes. I tried and tried adjusting the sliders and going through different body slides to take care of the clipping but nothing worked. I opened up Outfit Studio and got rid of the clipping. It was fixed, but I kept messing up somehow on saving it because I couldn't get that one to show up. So hopefully the tutorials will get me through it all. Thanks so much, I appreciate the help.

    Pretty sure I have the source. I think it is AWKCR.

     

     

    It's AWKCR, it adds a bunch of unnecessary things to it, rather than just providing a FRAMEWORK.

    Been in there for a year or two now, no idea WHY though.

     

    Well, the main thing is I know where it is coming from now. As much as I can, I like to know what my mods do. Actually, in one sense, the salt & pepper work out because it adds to the flavor (no pun intended) of any kitchens I decided to decorate.

  7. This mod is a a gun that lets you shoot an NPC. It will open up a settlers inventory and place an outfit on them. It's the closest I know to the mod you are asking about. There is no mannequin though, and you have to have the outfit to dress your settler with. It is called

  8. I started a new game, and scrapped the Salt & Pepper shakers in the player's Sanctuary home. I noticed scrapping them that it gave me salt & pepper. I have looked through my mods and I don't have a clue where this could be coming from. I know I have scrapped them several times in the past, but never got salt or pepper before. Anyone know of a mod off the top of their head that adds salt & pepper? If not guess I will go through each one to see if any have a function I didn't realize.

  9. It all seems fine now. Got everything I am supposed to, plus I was able to make the choice I originally wanted to go with in the quest. So far, so good as far as anything else being broke.

    now... unfortunately.... here, we are talking about creation club stuff, that doesn't come shipped out to all of us, and well...

    a lot of us probably don't have it to be able to crack it open and find what the stage ID's are.

     

    You might try cheat terminal. It has some debugging and other quest related functions in it. Tho you will want to return to a neutral cell, before attempting anything. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/13285

    And I dunno if it will work with anything from the creation crud. :sad:

     

    But before you try any of this, I definitely recommend doing a fork of your savegame by doing the rename of your character. Just in case anything tried just makes it worse. Speaking of which.... are you playing on survival? Why don't you have a previous save?

     

    Now another thing that I dunno about is whether or not this is going to bug your savegame. Since you've already got those quests recorded in there as having passed the quest stages already.

     

    You can get the ID numbers for the quests by opening the .esl file for the mod in Xedit. Then scroll down the left side panel til you find the name of the CC mod, and then click the + sign next to it to expand it.

    Then scroll down til you see + Quest.

    Click on that plus sign, and it will show you all the quests that are listed in the mod. It will list the ID number of the quest and the name of the quest.

     

    However... I only know how to set it to a stage in a quest. Not how to completely reset said quest. Tho somebody else may be able to pitch in on what the console command is for that.

    I think I break stuff because I have been playing too much FO4. I get technology at my fingertips that I don't know what it does or what effects pushing buttons will have, so in true prewar Fallout fashion I push the button to see what happens next. :ermm:

     

    Seriously though, I backed up stuff if it doesn't work out. I really need to start everything over anyway, but I am enjoying this play through too much.

  11. OK, decided to get adventurous. Trying the following steps.

     

    I saved my game. Quit. Removed CC Files. Loaded a save. Saved again. Quit. Reloaded the save that I saved w/o the CC files. Quest chain was fresh in my log.

     

    Going to try it again and see if anything glitches.

  12. OK, I have a few questions about the Neon Winter chain.


    On my play through I shut down the synth without realizing that was what I was doing. I would prefer to have reactivated her. Is there any way to use console commands to allow me to redo the chain? I am thinking odds of something like that breaking my game are pretty high. Would it work to reset the quest by console commands or am I better off just accepting it as is and doing it different on another play through?

     

  13. Pretty sure I got it figured it out turns out it was a mod that broke her. It was a settlement mod and somehow, assigning her to that settlement broke her. So the good news is I no longer have the bug, bad news I lost 5 days of game time. I am pretty sure I got the right mod just because Curie works fine in any save prior to that mod. She's broke in any save that took place after assigning her there.

  14. I for one really appreciate the mods the community makes. I wish I could make them as it would be nice to be able to fix my own problems or even just reskin something. Sometimes I feel like that I spend more time getting the game playable instead of playing the game. And thank goodness for the mod makers because they make the game so much better to play. Adding a lot of really neat things that seem missing from the original game. Things like workable showers & toilets, a fridge that makes drinks cold, systems to customize armor, bunches of additional assets to give more options, TVs that work, my list goes on. I look at everything I have and I don't think there is anyway I could strip it down to 10 or 20 if my life depended on it.

     

    Honestly though, I haven't seen that many issues with my stuff, once I got it installed or figured out how a mod should be configured. Not real sure, but some times I think the game breaks just because I have spent so much time playing it and after a while things just come a bit corrupted.

  15. So I have installed AmazingFollowerTweaks to reassign Curie to other settlements. The mod is working, just as the game works. It will allow me to assign Curie anywhere I like. The problem is, no matter where she is assigned, going to here original Vault 81 home is overriding any new assignments I give her. I am looking at her in AFT and I know she has been reassigned, but the game is ignoring that. Is there a way to go in and chage what she recognizes as her original home? I thought if I could do that then perhaps I can at least get her to stay in one settlement I want.

  16. She does this as along as she isn't my traveling companion. My Curie is Synth form. I have tried the console commands that allow her to become a companion, but then when I send her to a new settlement she won't stay. I am just wondering if there is a permanent fix for this or if I'll need to just go back to 81 to get her. Any help would be appreciated. I know how to get her back as a comp., just need a way to keep her in settlements.

     

    I have tried every thing I know, the console, bat files. But when I release her as a companion i can't reassign her and she automatically starts heading back to the Vault.

  17. I have tried it with all the launchers you have mentioned . I'll double check the admin options and I'll reboot the computer too. Now is this likely something I can fix without a reinstall? I have been advised in the past, never do a reinstall. That I should be able to fix things without doing so.

     

    OK. I tried it as you said, F4se, running on admin worked. So thank you for that. Still not sure though that I am out of the woods. I think I got into problems because I started messing with a cloud/steam synch when I had a CTD problem. It seemed like it would happen when the game would try to autosave. So like I said, I messed around with the synch and that fixed the problem but then a few days in I noticed that CC/Mods was grey.

  18. I have tried everything to fix this I can think of, Firewall settings, logging in and out of Bethesda account, verifying/repairing files. Weird thing in my Skyrim everything is fine, the only difference is for some reason I can' connect to the Bethesda.net servers in Fallout 4. Skyrim I can. If anyone can give me some help, I would greatly appreciate it. Also any more info you need just tell me and I'll provide it as best as I can.

  19. I don't use it. But I am thinking about installing it to compliment another mod I have started using. I was wondering will I have to change all my armor/clothing mods for use with AE? Or for the ones that I have the non-AE versions installed am I still OK to use the non-AE version without wrecking my game, and just use AE for this one specific mod?
