  1. Hello I'd like to suggest that anyone with the time and skills designs a mod that adds a chance for an NPC to spontaneously combust. Imagine walking through the streets of Riften, when all of a sudden Grelka catches fire, completely randomly. Hopefully somebody else thinks this would be quite a funny addition to the game. Thanks, Fish
  2. Ok I've got it all set up and working correctly (no throwing skill!) however I now have a somewhat minor problem. Some of the textures are missing, instead it displays a giant exclamation mark in a triangle. The only one which I'm sure is missing is frag mine related textures. This is a problem because I can't disable frag mines! Has anyone got any suggestions? I've tried reinstalling the New Vegas texture file but it didn't fix it.
  3. Thanks, I'll add those and see if I can get it to work! Edit: Still crashes straight away! Edit 2: It was because RFCW_Main_Pitt.esm etc were active without the pitt being installed! I thnik it's working now. Edit 3: Getting tired now. For some reason it's got the Fallout 3 skills and somehow, throwing!? How do I fix this?
  4. Hi Basically I need some help setting up Requiem for the capital wasteland. I own Fallout 3 on steam (NOT the GOTY version) and all of the DLC, I also own Fallout: New Vegas (NOT the Ultimate Edition) and again, I own all the DLC. What I do is; Clean installation of New Vegas using my disk and then downloading the DLCs via steam Create temp folder RFCW_Temp Extract all data from Fallout - Meshes.bsa, Fallout - Sounds.bsa and Fallout - Textures.bsa to RFCW_Temp Copy the contents of RFCW_Tools to RFCW_Temp and run "ExtractandPatch".bat as an administrator (DuplicateCleaner.bat isn't in the folder!) Copy Fallout - MenuVoices.bsa and Fallout - Voices.bsa to RFCW_Temp, then rename them as instructed Move all the files into /New Vegas/Data as instructed, also move Fallout 3.esm and all Fallout 3 DLC files as instructed I'm unsure of what the load order should be! I don't have RFCW_Main.esp or RFCW_Main_FO3edit.esp. When I have Mothership Zeta, Point Lookout, The Pitt and New Vegas DLC enabled the game just crashes to desktop straight away. When only the core files and Anchorage / Broken Steel are enabled then the game will load but will frequently crash when I enter the capital wasteland. What is the problem? How can I fix it? It's been a long, long time since I wandered the Capital Wasteland and I'm itching to do so again! Also, how do I fix the "bad" menu textures? The Fallout 3 loading screens all have a white background! Thanks, Fish
  5. I have a few mods that create new weps: http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=41819 http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=41848 http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=41849 http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=41832 http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=41838 Also, for weather, I HIGHLY recommend this: http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35998 For perks, here's a mod that adds some from FO3 that we're removed in FNV: http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37211 These should be compatible with the expansions, I don't know about the weather mod or the F03 perks mod, but I know for sure all the wep mods I listed will work. Enjoy. Thank you! I've given you some kudos! I like WME - Weapon Mod Expansion, it adds more weapon mods and allows you to mod unique weapons. There's really no need for more weapons, besides you can already get some new stuff from the DLCs. FO3 Perks is the only one I can recommend. Again, there's no need for more perks, in my opinion it's better to have perks that really make a difference and not just add more skill points, they should have more downsides too. I highly recommend Xtra Special New Vegas and Xtra Special Skill Training, your skills increase by doing things and tagged skills are increased 2 points at the time on level up. Also skills can go over 100 and still give you a bonus (not that great though). Bottle That Water is a must, you can bottle water from any water source. Vurts Wasteland Flora Overhaul adds better looking flora. Real-Time Entry Skills if you´re tired with the lock picking/hacking mini games, also allows you to pick a lock with skill less than normally needed i.e. in vanilla game if the lock needs 50 skill you can´t pick it if your skill is 49, the mod allows you to try to pick it, but the attempt may fail. Community Bugfix Compilation Patch, fixes a lot of things that haven´t been included in the official patches, actually it fixes many more! Fellout NV makes the nights a lot darker. Less Dismemberment and Limb Explosions, not every head and limb has to explode... Interior Lighting Overhaul - Realistic Interiors more realistic interior lighting. Nope. <3 this is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you! (I've given you some "kudos"). I get what you mean, perhaps I should be more specific. I'm not looking for anything that doesn't fit the fallout style (so nobody dressed as spock :P).
  6. Hi, first of all can I say that I apologise if this is the wrong part of the forum to be posting this in (I don't think it is) and that I love the forum's layout (has it been built specifically for this site?). I also apologise if these sort of "help me find x mod" threads aren't allowed, I didn't see any mention of this being forbidden in the rules. Ok, I played and completed Fallout: New Vegas about 5 months ago and with the release of Honest Hearts, I feel that now is a good time to get back into it, so I'm looking for some mods. Can you recommend me some? What I'm looking for; Mods that add new weapons and modifications (although I'd prefer 1 mod that added 50 weapons to 50 mods that add 1 weapon) Mods that add more perks and traits, Mods that add weather effects / more bloom / graphical improvement etc, Mods that generally make the game more immersive, Important: All of the mods have to be compatible with Honest Hearts / Dead Money. I'm not looking for mods that add new companions or areas. While I am 18 I'm not really looking specifically for adult mods either. I'm using the UK version of the game, not the 1C / eastern europe version (not sure if that'll make a difference but I thought I'd mention it). Also, does installing mods disable steam achievements? Thanks!
  7. Can someone make a mod to disable the console? I've always wanted to play Fallout 3 the way it's meant to be played (not just movetoqt all the time) but am always tempted by the console.... Whoever makes a mod that does this for Fallout 3 and Oblivion I shall <3
