Impressive  Anyway it's great that she didn't apply to court for "discrimination" or something and this experience ended peacefully :) or this is another stereotype? (I mean words about trials for any reason in US)
Once I encountered a young girl who wanted to work as a secretary but had never seen a computer

Texas now has a standardized test that all high school students must pass in order to graduate...
In Russia kids must pass a system of tests after school - it's called Unified National Exam (if my translation is correct). It started a few years ago (I had passed ordinary exams that were before the reform). Nobody can say what's better - new or old system. Both have positive and negative sides. But the UNE is easier to buy :) so a stupid kid with rich parents will have higher results than a smart kid from a poor family. And then they both go to University and the story repeats. The funniest thing is that after all they both try to get a job! And the "excellent student" fails the employment interview.

Some stories from real life can be more fun than fictional ones. And there is sometimes so much life in fictional stories :) great one, I'll remember it :thanks:

and becouse it dossent matter as long as yu get the meening :P
Scientists discovered that people read by words, not by letters. And some people - by sentences :) So if there are a few letters missing or incorrect, you still can understand the word.

Was there anything else in Event Viewer?

Addition.
I have a PS3 too and I tried to connect controller to my notebook under WinXP - via Bluetooth and wire. I failed :) it connects, but no reaction. Maybe I just didn't find proper drivers. Going to seek someday... but not now, don't have much time.
-
I want to use my ps3 contoller for Fallout 3 but it wont let me map the analoge stick on. I will let me do everything else though. Does anyone know a solution?
For Windows? I asked a similar question about XBox - see topic Xbox 360 Controller Questions
maybe you'll find something there. They told a few words about Sony.

I just wanted to say that if you know what you're looking for then you'll find it :) nothing personal. Requests like "someone somewhere someday did something with something for something" won't take any effect, that's right. A request should be short and informative.
On the other hand, pretty soon it can become very difficult to find something useful in Web. Lots of trash pages and useless doorways containing one or more requested words regardless to the object can make the search almost impossible. Especially if you look for something rare. Unfortunately, nobody can clean the Internet :D

@Christine777
I'm not American either )
_________
There is a scenic genre called "stand-up comedy" when actor tells various jokes standing on the scene. In Russia there are lots of such actors (like in any other country for sure). Significant is one person whose jokes one time (pretty long time) consisted of terms like "How stupid are these Americans". It's not funny, I think. The same can be said about us in other country. It reminds me of a cartoon "Spongebob Squarepants", an episode where he told jokes about squirrels. Such jokes can offend the others. That's what I think.

insulting remarks towards someone else, or a group of people" is not allowed.
I don't think there's something wrong. We don't want to offend anyone (I hope moderators understand this otherwise we'll be banned - but no one's been yet AFAIK) and now we're just talking about ourselves and events taking place in our countries ))
-
And so is everywhere. Maybe it's just for money, who knows. But not only journalists with their "hot and shocking" reports and articles affect the mob. Entertainment has a big part too. Nowadays in Russia historical movies (based on "real events" ever happened) are very popular. They re-write history in these movies as they like so young people start to think that everything was this way. It helps to wash people's brains just as nice.

i just tested that and found 40 States. And i'm a german ;D
I consider myself being rather well educated and i think i'm fairly intelligent.
I have never been to America but since i have a functioning Brain i'm assuming most of the "stupid" Stories are complete BS. There may be some truth in them and America may have some People which are so stupid they'll drag the whole States' IQ down by two Points.
But then again, we do have some really stupid People over here as well. Most of our TV Stations don't even care anymore and make rip offs of american TV Shows from the "stupid" Genre, like "american Idol". Everyone in their right Mind should be able to deduce that this Show has nothing to do with Talent whatsoever. And yet, there are thousands of People gathering at the beginning for each Seasons shooting.
Literally, we have thousands of People in every single of our larger Cities that will run the door in to be "discovered", so they can be a "Star". All these People have followed the Careers of many many "Stars" and somehow are unable to notice that they where exploited and even if they "win" in this Bogus "Competition" they'll earn Money for some Music Producers for a Month or so.
This is Ignorance on a Level that could be very well used to make the Germans in general look stupid. We don't even have out own Show, it's a ripoff of "american Idol". It's not the occasional doofus some Interviewer encountered on the Street and he couldn't point out France on a Map. You could show Pictures of thousands of People who haven't got enough grey Matter to deduce that they're being exploited.
Completely agreed. Now it's my time to complain )) I'm russian and it's the same situation here in Russia. Especially on TV. Everything (movies, shows etc) is copied (with reduced quality, of course) from elsewhere, we have nothing original. Russian so-called "reality-shows" are the worst in the world, believe me. Furthermore, millions of people here watch them every day and enjoy. They try to be like these "stars", take the example of them. It's some kind of brainwashing, IMHO. No culture at all. It was a surprise for me to know that such things happen in Germany. I really didn't know. When I studied German at school (almost forgot it now - no practice, sad but true) I couldn't even imagine such situation in such a civilized country.
So we are not alone... But only at this point.
And the young generation becomes more stupid day by day, corrupt by TV, Internet and so-called "freedom of speech". They don't know obvious things, and they don't care. The education system is down, so is medicine, technologies and many many more. Despite the economical crysis people strive to live in grand style impressed by mass-media. The government seems to be "deaf and dumb". So who is stupid?

Who is the strongest character that can accompany you in the game?
I'm not sure, they both are tough as I heard. Never took Paladin Cross with me, Fawkes is enough I think :)
-
I like HoMM and Disciples. Has anybody played Disciples III: Renaissance? I think it's a good game but it's kinda unfinished... No multiplayer (even a hot-seat), only 3 races (Empire, elves and demons - and where are the others?), no single-player scenarios, only campaigns. Maybe all this will be added later... I hope so.
-
And I like music from Fallout ))
-
Still the best way is to wait until version for US is released. I think it won't take long. Such a bad thing is going on only in my country. When you buy a game in Russia it means that all the world already played it long ago :-/
Concerning Just Cause 2 - I've seen only demo. Nice. Waiting for full version.

Without focusing on "mind control" and all these sci-fi things, what can it be like? I mean playing without controllers. Perhaps a game character will repeat player's action. In this case player needs lots of space to move :) and he will look like an idiot running around and interacting with non-existent objects. Relatives may call for emergency aid if they don't understand:)
-
Actually I don't like network games very much. So MAG is only multiplayer, no single-player mode (like SOCOM Confrontation, for example) or what?
-
Hm... it's always so easy to find necessary site. There are lots of search systems (like Google, for example). But for some reason people prefer not to use them  and I don't know why... It seems to be a great secret.
-
That's why I never liked them  they're worse than Brotherhood with their "high goals".

You never even heard the original story of Pocahontas? Disney didn't invent it you know. Changed it up a bit, yes, but not invented.
Unfortunately not. I'm not American... So I know about that time only from books and movies. Disney made this story known worldwide. But I must have missed the point :)

How in the world...

I learned to read when i was 4 y.o. (parents didn't want to read fairy tales for me ;D ) in first class no one except me could read in the beginning :) and my speed was about 150 words per minute (russian). It was in 1987. Now I read fast, but not a line at a time :)
