What if there was a game based on H. Harrison's "Deathworld"? I think with modern graphics and technologies it would be more interesting and colorful than "Avatar".
lol the rumor is that J. Cameron took his "Avatar" story from Disney's "Pocahontas"
He just changed time of events (to the future) and names of characters :)
IDK if it's right (I've not seen the cartoon) but people say so.

I remember some things that bothered me in Tactics:
1) .50 Cal Machine Gun- Muties can outsnipe you even with a sniper rifle and they can kill you with one burst at max distance. I just duck for cover until their ammo runs out. Never even got to use it much because ammo was so scarce. But by the time I had enough ammo, they were practically useless.
2) Rocket Launchers- You put your squad on a truck, drive around a corner then... BAM! Raider pops out and destroys said vehicle.
3) Behemoths- Damn it! It's guarding the door across the open field!
Yep, rocket launchers are really nasty. But sometimes raiders can blow themselves up with these things - that's funny
Once I encountered a bunch of sentient Brahmins - they were playing cards. When I got closer they ran away :) Was it a so-called "easter egg" or what?
I think everyone has seen a location with some kind of a power plant (where people worked as batteries for robots). Looks like that "Matrix" story :)

FaceBreaker for ps3...button-mashing, nothing else..if you turn your tv off and always press the x button you have a chance of winning...
the difficulty...no chance for kids, cuz have to push x buttoon very, very fast...not much playable characters (only 12). Not much for ps3 game..
Isnt worth it 30-40 bucks..
Damn right :) Every word is true
I almost broke my gamepad when I tried to play this game. It's not even funny. What were the developers thinking about?..

Devil May Cry has several elements of it as well
Only names.
Isn't it a bit like the God of War series? It's the same genre.

Try this site: http://www.candlekeep.com/
It's a library of Forgotten Realms lore.
Maybe you'll find something interesting there. And it's not Wiki :)

I think it is fun to watch a brotherhood patrol fight to the last breath so I can finish of their battered enemies, loot their corpses and sell their dog tags to the brotherhood.
Now I play in the same way. I just let them die as much as possible, then collect their holotags. It's a great opportunity to get caps :) By the way, Brotherhood people have lots of weapons and ammo, and their power armors are fine.

Dragon age origins isn't part of the Forgotten Realms
Thanks for information :thanks:
-
Agreed.
I heard that Dragonage Origins is continuing the Neverwinter series. Is it right? I haven't got this game yet, but I want to buy it.
-
Right, Dante from DMC and this Dante are not the same. I can't remember games with barbarians except Conan :) but it's not the one.
-
So your question is "what was the first"? First were the books, then the games. I have read many books concerning Forgotten Realms universe, and played games based on it, but still it's only a small part.
-
I don't have admin rights on it, so I might not get to install it xD
These games (F1 and F2 surely) can be just copied onto another computer without installation. You take all the Fallout folder and move it wherever you want. When I have to reinstall the OS (because of viruses, children or something) I never reinstall F1 and F2 - they are on another drive and work normally with new OS (and this is like new computer).

...a creepy journal of some guy who entered before you and who is slowly but surely CHANGING.
He DID change finally. This guy can be found somewhere under Dunwich building.
-
So the Outcasts can be friendly too  I thought they're too arrogant for this.
-
Got it. I collected pre-war money and put it into a chest, just in case :)
-
And how about pre-war money (can be found everywhere)? Maybe there is a merchant or somebody who can buy those green papers for higher price?
-
Oh.. looks like I missed a lot of important information :wallbash:
-
I forgot one thing. I always learn Lockpick and Science (in F3 it's very useful). The higher the better :) I never use Steal and Pickpocket in F3, but in F1 and F2 I just couldn't live without it :) Are there more ways to get money in F3 than in earlier parts?

But after all she won't leave the 101 to go with you. Then who cares about her behavior? :)

nice playstyles does anyone like to play assassin and make people come up "missing"
It would be funny should NPCs care about each other...

Hmm, a funny thing occurred when I played Fallout 3 on PS3 (I know consoles are not discussed here, but it's just a story). After taking the "Operation: Anchorage" quest if Charon (a ghoul from Underground) is in your party he stays outside the Outpost (maybe waits, I dunno... in my case he was wearing an Outcast armor, so he had nothing to be scared of. But he stayed outside). When I completed the virtual quest and got out of the Sim (and took all interesting things from the Vault, of course) and after all went outside, Charon wasn't there. After a few seconds a message "Charon has died" appeared. The supermutants have respawned in this area and shot him to death. Where? No answer. I tried to load game before getting into Sim and go out. He was in a building nearby, standing on the 3rd floor (there was no way there), absolutely useless and silent. I tried to get there and talk to him but no result - I just could not get to the 3rd floor. Ноw did he get there? Maybe it's a PS3 bug? :) So I could do nothing and had to leave him there :)
And once when I played PC version (without any companions) after completing the same quest I went to the armory for my reward. That time I could not take all things with me (low strength), but I didn't need it as it turned to be - suddenly the Outcasts started to kill each other! And they tried to kill me - I dunno why :) I went into hiding and when there were a few Outcasts left, I simply shot them from my Laser Rifle. So I could return to the Outpost for looting whenever I wanted. What happened to them? Greed? :)

I made a mod called Brahmin Diary products which added Brahmin milk to the game. This milk had radiation healing benefits.
Well, I think it's useful and according to the story :)
-
Earlier in all game parts (F1, F2, Tactics, then F3) I played as Saint + Light Weapons (later Energy Weapons, at higher levels) + Talker (better words than bullets) + Merchant (there is a lot to sell even if you're a Saint). I liked to be a good one :) Now I don't care about carma so much - I want to see all sides. Weapons are the same. I've never used Heavy Weapons :) maybe I should some day?
Sorry for incorrect naming for weapon types - I forgot their English names :/

Most of the mods mentioned earlier tongue.gif
I've started downloading slowly but surely most of the larger packs such as Fallout Wanderers Edition and FOOK and see how they manage to change the game atmosphere, but it'll require some thorough playing to get enough feeling to continue from that, I fear :/
OK, let's see ;) Thanks alot!

Hello everyone :) this is not a question, I just wanna express my opinion :) and this thread is suitable, I think.
I can't consider myself a noob in Fallout (however, I play this game from the 1st part up to now, time after time, and I'm not bored of it - it's a great world, in general I'm fond of science-fiction and RPGs, and this is all-in-one). Never heard anything about game mods (maybe there were some in F1 and F2, or Tactics, I dunno), I "discovered" them only in F3. I'm Russian, but some day I decided to play English versions (almost because the translations are not good enough - and some of them are just awful, so now I try to understand everything myself). By the way, sorry for my English :) When I walked through all the Wastelands for many times and there was nothing more to discover, I decided to try changing the usual order of things. Until this time I used only one mod, it was "the custom GNR-tracks" mod or something like this (although original soundtrack is great too, I wanted some change). But occasionally I found fallout3nexus.com (my friend told me that there's a mod with driveable bikes, so I started to search the Net. Unfortunately, I don't have an Internet connection myself, only at work). It turned out to be that there's a lot of interesting modifications on this site :) So I could play some - of course, if I manage to install them :) I remember how much pain for me was the installing of downloaded add-ons (Anchorage and so on) instead of buying them on disk - but they weren't sold in Russia that time. They appeared in shops much later. Well, I've got a question, though. What interesting mods can you advice? Mods that can change not only the looks, but also the story. I confess, I haven't read this thread all through. Maybe if I had then I would not ask :) thanks anyway.
