  1. Thanks for your reply. I have NVIDIA GTX 260 which I bought 3 years ago. Even though i'm sure there are some more modern cards out there. To date, no game I've played runs slow the Ultra settings and looks great with other games. I get 1920x1080 resolution on my PC. And the resolution is certainly a nice factor on the PC version as mentioned. The main thing is how the PS3 has more use of shadows which I like. Which I think gives it a great magical aura to it. It maybe just a personal preference. But I just feel it add so much to the gameplay for me and makes it more immersive to me.
  2. Hi there. So the first version of Oblivion I played was on PS3 and I absolutely fell in love with the game. As it was the perfect medieval fantasy game I always wanted to play. And it inspired me to upgrade my computer to get it on my PC. For years I've still been playing Oblivion with PC to the thanks of Mods. However one thing I loved about the PC was just the way the polish was on the graphics. Since it came out later than the PC version in my opinion just had a greater level of refinement. Particularly with the use of Dark Shadows in the PS3 version and just giving a more ambient feel. Whereas the PC version just feels more "computerized". Does anyone else feel the same? If so, would you know any MODs that emulate the look and feel of the Playstation 3 version of Oblivion?
  3. Let me know when you get that together! I NEED to beef up these Morrowind visual as much as possible - otherwise I feel like I'm playing Pacman.
  4. So being big fan of Oblivion and played it / modded to death. I thought its time to finally take a step back in the trilogy and play Morrowind. Even though most people have told me Morrowind is deeper. I couldnt get over the antiquited graphics. I picked up the YOBA version which comes packed with Mods like "Better bodies" - and it has indeed made it more palatable making it look like a poor mans version of World of Warcraft at least (Though it still looks dated - but is at least up to standards for a Playstation 2). Anyhow, I saw these awesome Overhaul Mods (links below) - Where can I download the English version of these? Ideally I want to make my initial experience with Morrowind as graphical pleasing as possible and use whatever visual enhancements mods possible : Overhaul Mods : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NnvIbGbjeIs I tried to visit "http://www.morrowindoverhaul.net/morroguida/index.htm" which is I think the official site - but darn thing isn't in English. Help would be appreciated :)
  5. ya I can't think of any of the mods which change the camera which I installed.
  6. Hi Guys. So I just got Oblivion for PC since I loved it on playstation 3. And bought a new PC just for the game. Once I got the game I went crazy installing Mods. However once thing that's kind of irratating is when I'm indoors or in dungeons. When I am in third person mode moving my character the camera sometimes goes BLACK. I can adjust this if I just keep the character moving. Or sometimes zoom in the character. Going to first person for sure fixes this. As an example I may be moving the character in third person, then it goes black. I stop moving, the screen remains black until I start moving again. I opt to switch to third person, then the screen is no longer black. I figured it had to do with something blocking the camera (Perhaps going past the ceiling in third person). But this even happens when I am very closely zoomed into the character so that isn't a factor. Anyone else experienced this? Is there a certain Mod causing this? Any way around it?
  7. So I'm new to Oblivion mods as I just got the game for PC (Originally played it on playstation). There some Mods I can't play because the text moves too fast across the screen when conversing with characters. And it doesn't even wait for me to read it or press the mouse buton. This is always with Mods/Quest which have no voice acting. Is there a way to fix this?
  8. Thanks Eshenaleros, this guide is awesome!!!!! Keep it coming...a toast to the best game in the world...OBLIVION!!!
  9. Thanks for all your positve replies guys! I'll check 'em out...of course if anyone else has more input...feel free to add :) so I can keep on feeding my Oblivion addiction.
  10. Thanks! Actually after I posted it, I thought "Knights of the Nine" expansion would suffice :) Cuz that kept me entertained for sometime, and if it we're 3 or 4 of them I'd be happy for awhile. I also downloaded "Lost Spires" last night : http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12997 Haven't tried the quest yet, but according the to description the Author put over 8 month of development into it...so it's probably worth it! Be seeing you!
  11. Originally I played Oblivion on PS3. I fell in love with the game so much I bought a high end PC alone just for Oblivion. The main reason I was excited to download all the Mods and try them out. What excited me the most was there was a possibility that if someone we're to put the time and effort, one could make a whole new expansion pack. Being an ex game programmer myself, I made a few shareware games which took me years to develop (called Ninjaking and Last Daisheika). If I had the time and energy these days making a kick ass expansion pack for Oblivion. Any case, has anyone taken the time to make a whole new expansion / overhaul for Oblivion that's kind of like Shivering Isles? (Or close enough ) I've played a few of the "new lands" downloaded from tesnexus. And they're still a little raw...such as being able to walk through buildings...timing that's off in the dialogue etc... Just wondering, I know it'd be heck of allot of work for someone to do this, but I figure since the game has been out for 4 years someone maybe got ambitious....maybe I'm expecting too much but it'd be cool to see like a whole new land with quest with Dwarves or something.
