  1. I just upgraded my graphics card to a GTX 680 4GB, and I still get a significant drop in framerate when using ENB (from solid 60fps without ENB to 30-40fps with ENB) so I'm thinking that a framerate hit is to be expected unless you have a seriously powerful machine. However, if you want to avoid that as much of a fps hit as possible, you can disable the Ambient Occlusion and Depth of Field in the ENB. Those seem to be the biggest causes of framerate drop, as far as my experience has told me.
  2. I could be completely wrong on this, but I believe that it has something to do with the NiStringExtraData in the .nif. One handed weapons seem to have that set to WeaponSword. Perhaps try that, see if it works. Make a backup though, I could be remembering completely wrong, since I haven't messed with doing that type of thing since sometime last year.
  3. I prefer to use loose files versions of mods when offered, so that I can easily go through and look at the individual files that come with a mod, and perhaps modify them. When they're packaged in a .bsa, it just adds a bit more time to that process.
  4. I had a similar problem when I first tried to play Dawnguard. In my case, there was a single mod that was apparently conflicting in some way with it, though I don't remember which one. What I did to solve it was to deactivate a few mods at a time and try to start Skyrim. When it finally started, I reactivated the mods one at a time, so as to determine exactly which one was the problem. Then you can simply deactivate that one (hopefully it's not something terribly important).

Another thing that helped my situation was to check the plugins.txt in "Users/Username/AppData/Local/Skyrim" for a duplicate Skyrim.esm at the top (there should only be one). This never caused problems for me before I tried to play Dawnguard, but recently began causing similar issues. May be worth checking.

  5. Well, Here is a link to the main ENB download. As far as the preset settings go, I don't really have a favorite that matches what you're looking for, but I would recommend just searching "ENB" and finding one that looks good to you. If you encounter one that has features that either you don't like, or is causing too much performance hit, I recommend using This ENB Customizer as an easy way to modify it.
  6. I had the problem before with the new NPC not having follower dialogue. You could be having the same problem. Certain Voice Types do not have follower dialogue, and so, NPC's with those voices cannot display the dialogue options. The easy fix for this would be to give the NPC a different voice. As far as the faces go, I am assuming you are doing the Control-F4 to export it? I read somewhere that, for some reason, you have to exit the CK and re-open the file for this to work.
  7. I use UNP. Skinny body for my primary character, Main body for everyone else. I use ApachiiSkyHair with some retexture (don't remember which one) for a few of my characters, but not standard NPCs. I use the textures from the Oriental Beauty mod (a really old version, haven't bothered to update). I use Rans Head mesh as well. I also use a variety of normal maps from too many different sources for me to even pretend to keep track of.
  8. The mod description page states that you need at least v1.5 Skyrim or higher, so that is likely your problem. You will need to allow Steam to update to new version.
