  1. You can make this happen through an ini edit. First, you must locate your Skyrim.ini. It will be located in something like C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\My Games\Skyrim. It is not in your Skyrim Steam install folder. Once you have located it, open Skyrim.ini, and under the [General] section, add the line "bDisableGearedUp=0". Then, simply favorite the things that you wish to appear equipped. Even if you have something else equipped (spells, torch, etc), the weapons that are added to the favorites will still be displayed on the character.

It does have some slight limitations though. You can only display one weapon of each type (for example, cannot have multiple daggers displayed). Also, there is a bug with swapping between favorited weapons without first sheathing them, where you appear to be holding more weapons in you hand than you should be. To avoid this, simply sheath a weapon before switching to another. If you encounter this, simply unfavorite the weapon, and then favorite it again.

  2. i would like to direct you to the Q&A of this mod http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=177751493

now in it he says he was banned from nexus, i would like to know why? it makes no f***ing sense, its an awesome mod. steam seems to think its appropriate and the other "the cathedral" mod that exists is a piece of s***. i see the bigger and badder lich king mod the demon hunter mod lots of other stuff is copyright to the same company as this but yet the mods banned him for uploading it? what the f*** is so wrong with the mod that it can be on steam but not allowed on nexus.

If I am remembering correctly, he was banned because he was taking mods from the Nexus and uploading them to Steam Workshop without permission.

  3. There are some console commands that will allow you to do those things. For being able to move the camera around such that your character can walk forward toward it, use the console command "animcam". This will toggle the vanity cam, so that you can swing the camera left and right without turning your character. You cannot move the camera up or down in this mode, attempting to do so will zoom in or out. You can toggle it back off by entering the command again.

For being able to freeze time, use the console command "tfc 1". This will toggle the game into free camera mode, so that when you exit the console, you will have the camera free to fly around, and movement and time will be stopped. If you want to have free camera without freezing time, simply use "tfc". There are, however some animations that do not allow free camera, such as kill-moves.

Also, if you want to change the field of view, use the command "fov #", where # is whatever you want to set the field of view to. If you change the field of view, you can return it to default by entering "fov 0".

If you want to have the game play in slow-motion, or if you want it to speed up, you can use the command "sgtm #" where # would be what you want to multiply the game speed by. 1 is default, anything higher (greater than 1) makes the game faster, anything lower (between 0 and 1) makes the game slower. Note that values too high or too low can cause strange issues to occur, and may crash your game. Some animations, such as kill-moves, tend to reset this value to the default.

  4. If you have Phenderix Magic installed, perhaps it is from that. I remember there being a kill spell from that mod, and I believe it was green. I don't have the mod installed any longer, or else I would check the name.

  5. Unfortunately, I've not made much progress on the mesh since that last WIP screenshot, due to lack of free time. Because of such lack of free time, I probably won't be able to work on it in the near-future. I could post the mesh that I have so far, but honestly, it would probably be better to start over with the mesh than try to work from what I've done so far. It could probably be done in a much better way that what I was attempting.

  6. Skyrim cannot run without Steam. To make it do otherwise and get it to run without Steam would be subverting the anti-piracy purpose of Steam. Thus, since the member stated that he got rid of Steam, it is the logical conclusion than he participated in an act of piracy. If someone is anticipating not having an internet connection, then they can simply set Steam to offline mode.

  7. Yes, definitely make sure airflow is unimpeded, and clean away dust that's gathered. A can of compressed air is good for this, or (since you'll want to dust your computer often and canned air gets expensive over time) you may consider investing in a small vacuum blower. Opening the case and checking on things inside is usually a good idea as well. However, I do notice that your machine is an HP, so you'll definitely want to check your warranties first, as most warranties are voided if anyone other than the company's own technicians open the case.

  8. I used to use speed fan, but someone told me that it was occasionally incorrect on the reported temperatures. I now use CPUID HWMonitor (it's also free). I don't remember what the maximum safe temps for the GTX 560 are, but I try to keep my card below 80C. 85C is about the highest I let it go before shutting off the game (it doesn't usually get that high, typically my card sits at 74-76C). It used to run hotter, but I've been using EVGA Precision to set the fans to run a at a higher RPM than normal.

As for the processor, I use Intel, and have never owned an AMD before, so I have no idea what the temps should be on that.

  9. I've had this problem sometimes with ENB. I noticed you're using Project ENB, so perhaps you are having the same issue I was. If you go into your skyrim root folder (where tesv.exe and all the ENB stuff is) and open enbseries.ini, and look for the line that says WaitBusyRenderer, you'll probably see that it is set for False. Try changing that to True, and see if that fixes your problem. That's what fixed it for me.

  10. I don't really have a solution to your problem, but I might have a workaround. Instead of immediately loading your character after launching the game, start a new game, and then load you character. I often have the same problem as you, and this seems to be an effective way around the problem.

  11. Closest thing that I know of that currently exists is the console command "animcam" which will prevent mouse movement from turning the character at all, and will allow rotation of the camera around the character. Only slight problem is that vertical movement of the mouse will cause zooming instead of rotation, so set the camera to the vertical angle desired before using the command. Not quite perfect, but it will allow a front view while walking. Use the command again to toggle the effect off.

  12. Just made a test of flattening out the UNP body, and figured out how to make the game display the mesh on Argonian females only. It would take quite a bit of time to properly assign every armor in Creation kit (on top of converting all the armors), but it is definitely possible. Only problem with flattening the body is the textures. The only ones that I have found are assuming non-flat chest, and as such, they have darkening where shadows would logically fall on such a shape. I've fixed such things on human skin textures before, but solving this problem with the Argonians' reptilian texture is far beyond my skills.

  13.

i dont know anything about scripting, really... could there be some way to make argonian females wear different armor meshes with some kind of script?

I think there is a way to do it without scripts. I don't remember how exactly, but I'm pretty sure I remember seeing something in the CK that looked like it would do this.

  14. This is a problem that has bothered me for a while as well. I did once flatten out the UNP body for just this purpose, but at the time, I didn't have the skill or time to be able to adapt the armors to the body. It would be cool to see it happen though. And since each armor would have to be edited to fit properly, perhaps it could also be possible to look into making holes in the armors for the Argonians' tails as well, instead of having them just magically clip through the armor. Of course, this tail thing would be much more difficult, I think.
