  1. Modders make what they want. Mod users download and endorse what they want. You may not agree with a mod (or a particular type of mod) that makes it to the front page hot files, but enough people did agree with it to get it there. As long as people want that sort of thing, it will be made. There is not likely to become less of them. The only viable way to counteract seeing them constantly hitting the hot files would be to increase the numbers of other types of mods that are good enough and well-liked enough to make it to the front page. I wouldn't call mod-makers, people who spend countless hours creating something, to release it on the internet, completely free of charge, "messed up". I also wouldn't call it "stupid content". Perhaps you don't like it, but obviously quite a number of people do. Perhaps you feel it does not belong in Skyrim. Maybe you're right, maybe you're wrong. In the case of you feeling that it does not belong in your Skyrim, you are definitely right. That cannot be said, however, for my copy of the game, however. Nor can you say that of the copies of the game belonging to any other person. People can put into their game whatever they so choose, and simply ignore the rest. The game of Skyrim has become more than just a game, with a story-line to be played out. It has become a canvas, upon which the players, mod-makers, and mod-users can paint whatever they so desire. You would not walk up to an artist and tell her that she should not paint a certain shade of blue upon her work, would you?
  2. Indeed there does seem to be something of a problem, but it is being worked on at the moment. Hopefully it's back up soon.
  3. Probably just a problem related to the recent issues the Nexus has been having. Try downloading manually, and adding the file to NMM manually. I just tried right now, and it worked for me.
  4. I highly recommend using the unofficial patches. The number of bugs they fix is truly astounding. Can't guarantee they'll prevent the ctd's or fps problems you're specifically having, but they do prevent massive amounts of headaches of trying to fix things through console commands. The number of things fixed, I believe numbers in the multiples of thousands. Perhaps even in the multiples of tens of thousands.
  5. Same thing happens to me on Skyrim Nexus, except with 1 instead of 8. I've been ignoring it for a while, but I too am curious.
  6. Have you made any edits to the Skyrim.ini? If you've added bDisableGearedUp=0, that could be causing it, as that feature isn't fully-functional. If that is the source of your problem a way to avoid the problem would be to sheath a weapon before switching to a different one.
  7. Editing skeletons is weird. The way that I've read to do it (not sure if it's the best way, but it works), you find the node in the Block List that you want to edit, right-click it, go to Node and click Attach Parent Node, and choose NiNode. Then name it whatever, and do you transforms on that node.
  8. I have the same issue, but no idea what causes it. The easiest way around it that I have found is to start a new game, and then load my current save. I use Alternate Start - Live Another Life, so I can get to the load menu fairly quickly, but I don't remember how quick it to get to the menu with default game start (really just depends on how soon you can pause).
  9. Seems to work for me.
  10. Perhaps try disabling all of your mods, and see if the game will start that way. Then, try turning the mods back on, one or two at a time, until it refuses to start. Then, you will have perhaps found a potential source of the problem.
  11. If I remember correctly, that may indicate that a mod is missing a needed master file. Make sure that everything in the plugins tab of NMM that should be enabled, is enabled.
  12. There is also a report button on each image's page, which can be used to report an image for a variety of reasons, including the option "Permission Issues", which, as far as I can tell, is for people who are not the owner of the work, to report wrongful use. The actual owner whose work has been posted is directed to file a DMCA Notice.
  13. They are illegally ported from the game, without permissions. Thus, upload of the armor is illegal, and results in removal of the armor and the uploader by the moderation team. Example: Here.
  14. I'm guessing that you when you intended to click the dragon to delete it, you instead clicked the college (I really wish the console would display the name instead of just the ID). Thus, your markfordelete command deleted part of the college. I have no idea how to go about fixing it, but I'm guessing that's the problem.
  15. Or perhaps simply make such a map available for viewing, should a person want to view it, not necessarily replacing the server list. I like the way that the server list orders itself, and I'm not sure how that could be replicated on a map.
  16. The only ways that I can think of would be to either make a body for each texture that could be equipped like armor (though I don't think this would work if you were equipping actual armor), or to create a separate race for each texture.
  17. Just tried the premium server, can't get it to download even from that. Perhaps try uploading it again, see if a new file will work.
  18. If you delete the files, and then run the game through Steam (such that it runs the standard Skyrim Launcher), the game should create new files for you.
  19. Indeed, block content is the way to go. The problem with setting it as its own category is that "sexy" is quite subjective. Thus, what would belong in that category would not be as concrete as simply saying "armor" or "clothing", or any of the existing categories.
  20. I don't think this would be allowed. From the Terms of Service agreed to upon account creation:
  21. As far as my experience tells me, using CoT with an ENB that is not compatible with it will simply result in weird lighting, like being too dark, over saturated, or something like that. CoT can make an otherwise great ENB look terrible if it's not designed with CoT in mind.
  22. Maybe try walking around in Windhelm and the surrounding areas. The mod says that it's Windhelm-themed, so it may used some resources from Windhelm. I used to have a lot of memory related crashes near and in Windhelm, perhaps yours is a similar problem.
  23. Yeah, for me, Kent, UK has been the most reliable and fastest of the premium servers (even though I'm pretty incredibly far from it). And your reason for paying for premium is the same as mine. :)
  24. I've actually had about the same reliability as a premium member as I did before I became premium, with just a bit less reliability over the last couple of weeks.
  25. I just tried downloading through the same server, worked for me. Not sure I have the knowledge to help, but perhaps you could post your operating system, internet browser, and download manager (if you use one) so that there is more information to go off of for those that can help.
