So that's the thing I've been working on so hard last weeks. It's nothing ground breaking though, the changelist is simple, yet it took me intense ammounts of time, and took lot's of my nerves. The whole idea is to make the game more enjoyable and fun, without sticking to realism. Here's the changelist. *Changed arena's gold per win to 1000 gold. *Quest rewards are no longer leveled, you always get the best version regardless of your level. *Dark Brotherhood contract bonus is 750 gold. *Creatures are no longer leveled. You can meet anything at level 1 and the same at level 100. *Similiar thing applies to leveled items - you have a chance of finding anything, anywhere. Although you can't meet a bandit in full glass armor, there is a high chance that he will be wearing mixed sets of armor. Like glass gauntlets, daedric helmet, mithril cuirass and stuff like this. *5x faster leveling. *****Now this one might be controversive. Every "enemy" has got a 25% chance of carrying Oghma Infinium. This together with fast leveling let's the player level up even faster. This is the list of "enemies" -Bandits -Highwaymen -Pirates -Bleak Mine Guards -Mythic Dawn -Conjurers -Afflicted Brethren -Boethia's Chosen -Necromancers -Priests of Arkay -Mercenaries -Hackdrirt people -Marauders -Vampires -Ascended Immortals ( Mythic Dawn in Paradise ) -Dark Brotherhood ( The one's you'll have to purify ) -Dremora ( Both male and female ) *Every necromancer has got a 50% chance of carrying a sigil stone. *Sigil stones are random. This makes clearing Oblivion gates more fun, because you'll never know what will you find inside. *Every city guard is at constant 25 level. *Added Dremora Females. *Arena chest contains 6000 gold. *All containers were modified in order to create more rewardable loot lists. You can now find a really great treasure. *Mannimacro - the most drastical change was applied to him. Besides new, "more evil"(in my opinion) look, he is incredibly strong. Killing him is now a really hard case. It's worth, because as for a really feared bad guy, he is carrying lot's of nice things. *Arrows: -Recovery chance - 100% -Arrow speed - 500% of old value. -Dead corpse can store 500 arrows. *There is a 50% chance, that dying enemy will die with his/hers weapon in hands. *Player can obtain the Mythic Dawn armor. There is a special MD agent in the tutorial dungeon that needs to be killed. You can call him a mini boss. *Number of enemies is also increased. A lot. That's because there is "Adrenaline Oblivion" implemented. This "overhaul" is pretty much finnished, although it needs some more work, and I'd also like to ask You people for ideas. It will be relased if Adrenaline Oblivion author will let me use his mod together with my stuff. Take in account, that I'm mostly making it for myself and my friend just for fun, that's why some things are exaggerated and some are weak.

I remember there was someone who stripped the body out of underwear. But the result is less than satisfying. Since I can't find that stuff, I might be able to do it.

Is your personality in Oblivion different from the "you" in
Chappi55 replied to Netwit2008's topic in Oblivion's Spoilers
Great thread idea. As for me - in real life I'm too much nice. I always try to help other people even if it means problems for myself. You're hungry? Here, take this bread, I'll rather die of starving than see you dying of starving. As for the game, I'm trying to act as close to real life as possible. I don't like being too good, but I don't like being a psychopath in a game either. When the situation demands it, I cut people like tree's in Oblivion, but when there is a second option I always think about what would I do if it all was real. This may sound dumb, but a great example of that is that whenever I talk to beggar I give them that one single coin. Giving away a single coin for me is nothing, while a single coin can save one's life. I hate fighting with womans in Oblivion. I don't know why, I always feel wrong when I see a woman attacking me, and I know that I have to do something or I'm dead. Next example is that I have altered the questline, to spare the lives of mythic dawn agents during the main quest. The objective is mysterium xarxes, but since they haven't noticed me, why should I kill them? They believe in their own Daedric god and it's their problem, AS LONG AS they do not try to attack me. If they do, they're pretty much dead. And I mostly play as a sneaky marksman. While I love cutting stuff in half with deadly reflex, I mostly enjoy taking enemies down with one, unnoticed arrow. This brings much more satisfaction, you have to find a good spot, aim and relase the arrow. Then you just observe how it flies and finally impacts the body of a bandit. I had problems with Adoring Fan, because his ass-face was really pissing me off, and that idiotic yellow hair was like putting a parchment with "HERE I AM SHOOT ME" on your head. Many lols were had at Dive Rock with him, but now I have acquired a possibility of sex change for him ( via the construction set ) so he or shall I say she, will be less annoying now. -
Where have you installed your game? If you have it installed in C/D:/Program Files x86 - this might be the problem.

This made my day. As for me, tutorial dungeon--->then I go to the IC market district to do the Thoronir's quest--->Before giving out the amulet of kings I duplicate it so I can still use it (and sell those 399 copies of it to Thoronir) After that I do the mages guild and fighters guild quests and then I'm fighting at Kvatch.

Great idea with that sword enchantment man! As for the difficulty, I find it too hard at 100% because I basically die by blocking a powerattack of NPC. Maybe it's easier for higher levelled characters, but as I've said before when I'm playing just for the fun of it, I do the 25%, and when I feel strong I'm going for 50-75% max. But the sword enchantment is really a great idea, now that I have learned how to endlessly duplicate any item in-game this can work :)

You can't kill them because they are marked as "essential". That said they cannot be killed, but it's a matter of 2 clicks in Construction set to make them killable. If you'd like that you can contact me and I will make this kind of a "fix" for you. But yeah, the torturing option is much, much better than just killing them :)

Well I cannot be more of assistance than to tell you to try checking off the DLC's and see if any of them isn't sapping your DMRA addon. Sorry for that lack of help but I do not have any addons other than KOTN and SI. Another question, have you tried looking at the OBMM-->Utilities-->New conflict detector ? It may help specifying which mod overlaps with DMRA Bravil guards changes.

Construction set face problems
Chappi55 replied to Chappi55's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
That's because each race has unique, well almost unique, features, meshes, textures, etc. Simply changing a Wood Elf into a Dremora will look...silly! Yeah I get what you mean, but the case is that I'm trying to edit existing npc's without changing them to other races. I've tried changing the dremora to imperial to see if it was dremora race problem, but it looks like a common problem with all races. The funny thing is that I can freely edit for example, Companion Neeshka's face. But I guess it's because she's a custom npc. I can edit all custom/new npc's just fine. So I guess it's the premade face texture problem as LFact noticed. I'm trying the fix now. The fix works great. I can freely edit the texture options in editor now. I can't even describe how helpfull that was guys, kudos for you both and thanks again :) -
Construction set face problems
Chappi55 replied to Chappi55's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
But what if I want to edit existing race? It does not work even when I'm editing existing non dremora npc's. Also yes I've tried that too. Switched dremora female to imperial and she looked just wrong - beard and other male stuff. Resetting face does not help. The thing I noticed - on some npc's the texture editing works. On some only ears are altered, and on some only the body without whole head is affected. -
Have you recently upgraded your graphics drivers? Have you just tried removing the Oblivion config file from my documents? It will revert all the graphics settings to default though. I don't have any idea if this will help, but similiar thing happens to people (probably only with Nvidia cards) when sneaking and looking at certain direction. There's a fix for that I believe, but I cannot guess if it'll help you.

Are you sure you don't have any other mods that change guards looks or stuff related to them? We could've look more into this with your load order.

Hello, I'm sorry for bursting so many questions but I have ran into another problem. The problem's that I cannot (in most cases) edit the npc faces in the construction set. Here's what I mean - I'm trying to make female dremora's look actually acceptable as females. So I have resetted their faces so they look like imperials, but here comes the problem - only in few cases I can edit the face texture. In most cases the face texture sliders do not change anything, but overall body skin and in some cases ears only. So I'm stuck with that. Next thing, when I change the dremora females into other race they look all manly - beard, non shaved face - just gross. And I can't change those textures either, I cannot even reset them. And yes, I have "Female" ticked in the npc edition screen.

Thanks a bunch guys!

Well I don't think that was the matter - I'm at Win7 and I'm installing stuff always at Program Files. But I haven't tried installing at Program Files(x86) - this is default installation path.
