  1. I would prefer to have someone that already has mods up and running on nexus, just for the sake of not being scammed. Thanks! (not sure how PMs work now with the new update, it sounds like all PMs now have to go through the nexus mods website proper rather than the forums page as before)
  2. Yes I am painfully aware.. I was just curious if this specific instance was maybe due to cut content that could be made into a cool mod. That's pretty standard across all Bethesda games. Like the Dance dilemma for F04. Although that was just cut dialog.
  3. Okay so this is about when you go into the Autonomous Staryard in the Volii system. When you walk in with Andreja as your companion she says, "If Vasco were to be upgraded, this would be the place." Sadly, that's all there is to it. Completing the dungeon with Vasco as your companion does nothing extra. I have searched high and low in this place and posted reddit threads and everyone seems to agree there is something missing from this dungeon. You get literally nothing for completing and there is something of a boss battle at the end and everything. We at the very least should have gotten that crazy mining drill as a buildable weapon in ship editor. Or had the ability to make a ship as we progressed through. Outfitting it with certain things based on skill and hacking checks along the way as to scale the end product with your character. (Just my own personal idea I think would have been cool. I'm aware something like that isn't going to be found here lol..) It could just be another missed mark on Bethesda's part along with a throwaway dialog line. BUT maybe it's not! Maybe they intended to do more here, and it was just never finished? I myself lack the skill, but if someone out there wants to check it out and see if there is anything wrote into the game that went unused for this location that would be awesome.

  5. from a laymen point of view I must admit, I understand that altering an entire planet is out of the question. But I have noticed that when I land my ship in a selected area and run about 3000 units in one direction it stops me and says "you cannot travel any further" I'm assuming this is what you're meaning when you say that Starfield lacks "spherical continuous environment ability" So when you scan a planet and it already has some areas that are set to appear, "mining station, fracking station, abandoned facility or outpost" that are always going to be there on that planet. And I do understand the one building listed is the only one that will be there every time and the rest of the locations within that 6000ish unit circular area you are allowed to explore are randomly generated. I'm not sure what the name is for those little 6000ish unit spaces around your landing area, so I'll just call them mini biomes. Is it not possible to create and alter one of those? like having the entirety of Valles Marineris altered is of course out of the question. But is it possible to place one of these little "mini biomes" somewhere along it and just have that 6000ish unit circular space represent it with a big canyon in this particular mini biome with whatever you wanted to add? And as for climbing, yes of course scaling 7km is crazy, but there are some pretty high locations. The mission on mars where you have to get to the top of the antenna for the bounty hunter has you pretty high up. I also have the bad habit of wishful thinking so I have climbed to the top of many towers and communication antennas hoping there would be something at the top.. So I can say from my own experience that big changes in elevation (although it is just from ground level going up, not down) within a mini biome are in some sense possible.
  6. This is a big one. Might need to wait for full mod support if it's possible at all. Once you guys figure out how to alter/create biomes... Starfields Mars shows from planet view both of these massive planetary features. But when you travel there it just has the standard "rocky desert" biome. [Olympus Mons] is the largest volcano in the solar system. Over twice the height of Mt. Everest.. it is truly huge. [Valles Marineris] (the large feature that looks like two scratches across the surface of the planet) Is the largest above water canyon in the solar system, reaching almost 7km deep in places. Sadly, neither of these features show up when you travel to the surface. Even though they are visible from the planet view. This is a MASSIVE missed opportunity. Even if you only make one part of it a biome you can travel to with a crazy legendary monster at the bottom of the trench. Or at the top of a long climb to the top of the volcano. Or maybe a hidden city. I don't know. Just SOMETHING. It would have to be a big mod. But we should be taking full advantage of things like this, since Bethesda was lazy here.. I'm sure someone on here has plans for some big added content mod. It would be really cool to see these features utilized in some way.
  7. Make a boost pack that allows for much faster low height and long distance jumps. For getting to those far away locations after landing on planets. Soooooo tired of running 1800 units away just to explore a cave or to find a planetary trait location. Maybe a problem with speeding things up so much. perhaps while your in the few seconds of each speed jump your peripheral vision could be slightly blurred for immersion and less rendering issues?

  10. So a few things, >>>Storage towers for outpost resources. (auto sort by name) I currently have like 15-20 both solid resource and warehouse boxes. once every few days I have to empty them all out and then re fill them to keep them organized otherwise I can't find what I'm looking for. with so many different resources I'm shocked Starfield's resource management is so awful. <{Or even simpler just make an outpost control terminal that shows all current resources at an outpost with the ability to withdraw them or transfer to ship}> >>>Packed outpost buildings. (or even just a pack of the resources required) Say I want to go and start a new outpost to farm iron or whatever. in order to be able to go and start this outpost I have to go to my main outpost and I have to look each buildings req resources, try to remember them off hand then go to all my boxes, and transfer each one to my ship. This becomes very overwhelming. that and i have no way to check what the iron extractor requires in order to build. This can be fixed by adding the ability at the outpost control terminal to make packed buildings. or even just resource packs that would bundle the resources for each buildable structure and load them on your ship. >>>the ability to track and untrack individual resources.. resource tracking is broken. you know it. Low height, long distance, fast speed jumps.****
