  1. Mlai- The value for the facemorph is indeed in the savegame file. The actual value it uses though is invisible. You just can't see it. But if you click on the "empty area" there in SAVEGAME_PLAYERCHAR \ SAVEGAME_PLAYERCHAR_CHAR \ SAVEGAME_PLAYER_MORPH and choose "copy"

You can then use "paste value" and send it to the same area of the other character's savegame file.

Now, the problem is, is that it is incredibly difficult to actually find that morph file in it's mrh, mor, or mop form to be able to actually EDIT it in the toolset. Tho if you make it in the character creator, it will be saved as a .chr file, in the Characters>Pre something... folder. which also contains all the morph info, if you want to recreate the morph using create new morph in the toolset and then use your old settings as a base when creating the new morph.

  2. Heh I guess this would be a bad place to mention that there's conjecture that Alistair and Morrigan might be from the same father? Or would that be incredibly evil of me to say that by marrying Alistair you may be getting Morrigan as a sister-in-law? Or that their kid could end up being inbred?

    Ok, ok, I'm done being evil now. ;..;

One thing I've learned about this game, is that there is definitely cases in here where you have to make choices that you really don't like. Or that sometimes, there's nothing that you can do about some of the bad things that happen.

I suppose that a mod could be done to change this, though it would seriously clash with the storyline. One of the options in that dialog could be changed so that she would accept Riordan as a candidate, and then just kill the cutscene (since you all seem to hate her so much) of the coupling. Or alter it to reflect Riordan instead of Alistair, the Player, or Rogain. Errrr Loghain. The changed dialog would have to be set to trigger the flag that the ritual had been completed though too.

Also there's a mod that allows you to take the final blow instead of Al.

http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=897 I'm surprised you didnt mention that, Chibievil

  3. You should create a cleaned save afterwards though. Just to make sure that nothing about that character in the older saves is still around in the character's database files.

Load the saved game. hit the esc key on the kyboard, or click the gear shaped icon at the top of the screen. then click new save, name is as something like new save clean, or w/e and then save it. Close down the game, and then when you restart it, load and play from the cleaned save.

the reason that you want to do this is because some mods get screwy about being able to detect whether an item has been given to the player or not. This seriously decreases the chances of stuff like that happening. (Unless you're in patch 1.03, which in itself blocks some mods from loading).

  4. for this kind of mod to work when you install them, you'll have to compile the chargenmorphcfg.xml files from each and every one of them into a single file, in order for them to show up in the char creator screens.

there's a tut posted here- http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showtopic=190683 it looks like more than it actually is.

there's also a prog that can compile them all together. http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=971

But since some of these mods dont actually include a chargenmorphcfg file, you will need to create one (using the tut) for them, in order for the compiler to be able to list those mods into the single file.

dont know if any of those include elf ears though.

  5. http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=122 You can change the mat in game with this mod. Make it out of silverite, or make it out of redsteel and make it look like silverite, stuff like that. You won't be able to change the actual mesh/skin that it uses to make it look like something completely different, but you can change its stats and material look to something more like what you want.

I'd definitely check out the creator's website though as there's some learning involved with this mod, and she (supposedly) has some info to help out. (though the links are dead half the time).

Once you get the hang of it though, its very easy to use.

You'll need to use about 3 skill points tho too. So I recommend activating the console and adding them via command. http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Console

runscript zz_add_skills3 - Sets avaliable skill points to 3 (if you have more they will be lost), To assign these enter Character Record and click Level Up at the bottom.

thats the script you'd want to run from console.

  6. Are you looking for just one sword coverted to one handed? Or would all swords converted to 2h work for you? If the latter, then this would work. http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11

there is an option to leave axes and mauls as 2h weapons, to preserve any 2h characters you have; like Oghren. But the two hand swords converted won't activate 2h skills.

consider this mod too, as they still swing at 2h speed, which is slow. http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=348

  7. I had a similar issue. It was caused by the toolset. It was because I tried to export the voice-overs. When the toolset exported them, it did so without dependancies, and dropped them into the override folder :verymad:

You dont have to clear out the entire override folder, just the toolset folder.
