I have a request/recommendation/proposition: The green buttons of "Download", "Vote for me", "Endorse me" for each file... I think they should be just a top of where the "Unique d/ls", "Total d/ls", "Total views" are. In other words, under the ad that's between then. I think it's a bit confusing for "Download", "Vote for me", "Endorse me" section to be so far away from the "Unique d/ls", "Total d/ls", "Total views" section.

Skyrim's Argonian reminds me a lot of Morrowind's. Love it :)

G4TV had the Nord picture. The redguard picture is like 1 month old and originally from a magazine. Not sure where to find a higher picture.

There are many magazines that haven't uploaded their images yet. I just skimmed through each site and I couldn't find a Skyrim picture on like 4-5 of them. I think our supposed Bosmer is definitely a Dunmer. The grey skin and red eyes can't be a coincidence. How long does do these site maintenances usually take? When so many race screenshots have been released at the same time, expect major mayhem for many hours :)

No, it's definitely a Bosmer, the guy who created the character said so. Don't you think it's a bit strange though? Don't you think it looks more like a Dunmer? Looks awesome, whatever it is. I hope the one who created the character is wrong, because Dunmer are/were my favourite. I mean... journalists can be wrong. Don't you guys think it certainly resembles more to a Dunmer? I'm studying law at the moment in Sweden and the last subject before summer we went through was intellectual property. Here's what I would say concerning this problem: Firstly, a trademark can consist of every sign, mark or symbol that can be reproduced graphically. This can include certain words, symbols, numbers, letters, shapes, packages or looks. Secondly, in order for trademarks to get protected they need to be distinctive. It's distinctive if it can be seperated from products that are similar on the market. This only applies for products in economic activity. Thirdly, a word that describes a generic designation can not be protected. Last but not least, the most important question is if another trademark infringes an already protected trademark, which is this topic's case. The exclusive rights of a trademark includes that no identical or similar trademark for products and services of the same kind is permitted. If there risk for confusion or risk that the usage leads to the apprehension that there is a connection between the one who uses the sign/mark/symbol and the owner of the trademark, then that is not permitted either. If a trademark is known, then this protection is broadened. In this case: The certain word "Scrolls" can be protected as intellectual property. However, one must also keep in mind the competitive interest. To answer the question if there is an infringement of the trademark's exclusive rights, it's necessary to state that the more similar the products are, the more different it is required for the signs/marks/symbols to be. Here, we're dealing with products that are similar; they're both video games and they both include fantasty elements. Therefore, it's required for the signs/marks/symbols to be more different than otherwise required. When determining if there is risk for confusion and risk that the usage leads to the apprehension that there is a connection between the one who uses the sign/mark/symbol and the owner of the trademark, one must value the overall impression of the sign/mark/symbol against the trademark. The trial is done from the overall impression of the average consumer. Given the stylistic and visual differences and the differences in words (The Elder), it would be no risk for the average consumer to confuse "The Elder Scrolls" with "Scrolls" and no risk for the average consumer that the usage leads to the apprehension that there is a connection between "Scrolls" and "The Elder Scrolls". Thus, "Scrolls" does not infringe the exclusive rights of the trademark "The Elder Scrolls".

I'm soon about to release a mod and I was wondering how I change text-colour, text-size and add images (like an image that says "Installation" in a special, nice way) in the file-description of a mod. I have a theory. Does it work if I use the commands in this forum for colour, size and adding images ... in the mod file-description? Hi! I've been making a new race for a while (a male race). I've used some hair resources. Some have been pretty good. Also, I've never really gotten attached to the anime-like haircuts either :confused: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Anyway, these haircuts above don't do it 100% for me. I want something... else. I would really really appreciate if someone made a hair-resource. I have zero experience or knowledge about meshes. But I do know how to make good hi-res textures. What I request is... is a nice male haircut mesh with at least a basic texture (the texture doesn't need to be hi-res or anything; it can be low-res or etc, as long as it "works"). Now with that time limit set up, I have no problems. Mirrors show up after the time and I can download without problems :P Still can't understand my problem with the video. I've checked all my settings ten times. There are no security settings that block javascripts, plugin-programs, etc. Very strange :confused: Thanks a lot Dark0ne for setting up the time limit (and thus making it possible for me to download files) and trying to figure out my problem. I have AVG too, and Comodo Firewall. But the firewall doesn't show any intrusions (and therefore not blocking anything), and I also tried to disable it temporarly. Anyway, I looked at the JavaScript-console while I tried to download again. But I don't got any adblocker/noscript/javascript or anything... I use google chrome with no addons or anything. All I got that is blocking things is cookies; I don't allow 3rd party cookies and a few known cookies from big ad companies (playwire not included). I've tried allowing all 3rd party cookies, but that didn't help... :S Whyyyy? Anybody got any idea what I can do?

Hey thanks for writing that. Though... it didn't work for me :confused: No difference. Here's what I've tried more so far (with no success): - Disabled firewall, changed adobe flash player settings to allow more things, allowed 3rd party cookies, allowed pop-up windows, switched to Internet Explorer (with all low security/privacy settings). - My Adobe Flash Player on the computer is not the latest version (v.9), but it shouldn't matter, because Google Chrome automatically has the latest updated flash plugin. It would only matter for Internet Explorer. It's really annoying that I can't download any files over 2 mb now. Dark0ne, this is a good site and I'm thankful for it. But I can practically no longer use it (and it seems some other people having the same problem), even though I want to. I had to ask a guy on the Beth forums to upload the file I wanted somewhere else. Could you please "fix" this? Or give me some direction on how I can fix it.

Hm, what do you mean? I have a firewall and anti-virus, I can try to shut the firewall down temporarly... I allow my browser to use java script. I don't allow pop-ups, but I tried to temporarly allow them a sec ago, nothing changed. But it's strange why this wouldn't hinder the 2mb download. Hm... now something new happened. I tried to download a file over 2 mb again, but now something else happened (I haven't changed any settings or anything yet). The same black screen thing on the pic is there, but now it says above the black screen. "Your download will be available after this brief video brought to you by Playwire.com" ????? Why do I need to see a video first? (And why didn't this show up earlier, like when I started this thread?) And if I have to see it, why isn't it starting? Very confused. I don't get to the server choice at all. This pops out first. No server choice. I'm only thinking that it's my adobe flash player settings that are restricting this. I can't think of anything else.

Hi! So I just tried to download something. I haven't downloaded in a while so I'm not 100% sure when this started. It seems that I can't download files over 2 mb. It works with files that are under 2mb, it seems. More specifically, this is exactly how it looks like: http://img220.imageshack.us/f/22040552.jpg/ It's just black like that. Nothing happens. I've tried waiting. A few additional facts: - I'm logged on when I try to download. - I block 3rd party cockies, but I tried to disable that temporarly as well, just in case. This didn't change anything. Still the same problem. - I use Google Chrome (fully updated). But I also tried to use Internet Explorer, but same problem there... Never had any kind of problem like this before. Could someone please help?

I get ad pop-ups sometimes, transfering you to another site. It's pretty annoying, and it's definitely more than one every 8 hours. Say instead one every 1-1.5 hour. I use google chrome.

The engine is really outdated. Just compare how it looks with rather new games (or rather old, like Crysis, haha). I think the worst possible reason to keep hold to an old, really bad-looking (compared to newer ones), buggy with bad performance engine, just so that fans could make mods easier. It may sound harsh, but it's the truth. With Fallout NV, I noticed a lot of people commenting on the youtube previews about the bad, outdated graphics. New and much better possibilies of engines are open for Skyrim. I really see no good reason not to use them. Astonashing graphics from a new engine, combined with Bethesda's well-known superpower for creating great atmosphere in the games, is a dangerous combination.
