  1. Hello, this is GTECH. I recently just driven to Los Angeles, and Disneyland (Anaheim), and I got to say, Obsidian did a great job re-modeling the looks of the light brown mountain-hill area's of California and Nevada. When I was driving from Bakersfield all the way to Los Angeles staring at the Mountain's, I just couldn't get New Vegas out of my head. I kept thinking, "Hey. Was there an area in New Vegas based on this?" and also, "That looks like the hill where the Mojave Outpost is." What do you guys think? I know The Strip re-creation was kind of iffy though. I recently jumped back in the New Vegas Restoration dev team after a hiatus, so I hope we can make it more like I would have thought if I never heard of New Vegas before and just visited Las Vegas. So yeah, tell me what you think on it's map.
  2. Any news or update on the mod? Last I heard, it won't be hosted at this site, and will be at *not allowed*, which I don't have a problem with since I have an approved account.
  3. Hello. I am the third developer of the mod "New Vegas Strip Overhaul." My email is [email protected]. The other developers are falloutperson416 (Developer and author of well made mod New Vegas Restoration) and the Lead developer GTA44. In case if needed, we may need to hire people who can model or texture. We are still working on the concept of the mod right now. Since we plan on for future developement adding stores, and casino's for the overhaul, a modeler would be great. If we are able to contact each other in email, we could discuss plans. One casino I have in mind currently is the Luxor since it is probably the easiest to model because of its shape.
  4. The GECK requires that you load one "base" ESM and follow a (branching) chain through the rest of the plugins so that everything ultimately requires that ESM. You can't have two "base" ESMs loaded in the GECK that have no masters, so you must edit the header of one of them to include the other as a master. Thanks for the info. :turned: Just wonderin, what program would you use for that? (FNVEdit?) You can use wrye flash nv for editing masters (watching the thread and thought i would chip in :D ). It WORKS!!! Now I am going to make myself a travel mod.

  6. It's a lot easier then you think. You copy the Fallout3.esm and put it in the NV Data folder and you do some more stuff. Here is a video demonstrating it and has a tutorial in the description to do it yourself (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b7J-f9UFInw), also you are going to have to do some stuff to the menu's menu in the data folder to prevent crashing on start. This mod as I am guessing is a travel system that lets you access The Capital Wasteland via a train instead of cheats. This is perfect for me since I can't cheat. I simply can't use cheats. It destroys the experience for me regardless of however.
  7. How do you do this btw? I am trying to run both the Fallout3.esm and FalloutNV.esm in the GECK so I can make a personal use mod like this, but it crashes after a while of loading it. It only does this when I load both 3 and NV at the same time on the GECK. It runs in the game though. I can't wait to see when this is released.
  8. I have a problem of when I load multiple master files, it takes a while and then just crashes. I already did the trick with GeckCustom.ini
  9. UPDATE _____________________________- It didn't help. My game is still crashing rapidly. I may have to revert to another save game.
  10. Yes, i too have tried the game without NVSE and crash.... the problem not is NVSE! Maybe is a Bethesda problem? I hope release a patch... because i want play this DLC!! I tried load a old old save (at level 2 and with almost no mission completed) .... early in the game with all the mod loaded (over 100) and the game does not crash more!! maybe our problem is a corrupt save... but I dont like do again all the missions... now I'm at level 25 and I will do only the final mission of Hover Dam.... I emailed them and was told to update my video drivers so I am going to post as soon as possible on whats what.
  11. Me too. I am sending this thread to Bethesda Support to show that people are having this issue. I was excited for this add-on and I just really want to play it. I never had issues like this with Fallout: New Vegas itself. I reinstalled it and got rid of all my mods just to see if it will work. Maybe its a NVSE problem? Update _______________________ No. Its not a NVSE problem as I reinstalled the game without NVSE.
  12. Of course they won't respond to the emails from the grave, their copyright holders will (Such as WMG or Sony). If I can't get a good yes then I will make some modifications to the mod. Its hard to find good classics without being hit with copyright nowaday's.
  13. Ah, copyright. The big brick wall in the project. Well, I may be able to make some modifications and keep the actual mod to myself or find another source to upload it since I can't get copyright get in a way of a project like this.
  14. I an planning on making a radio based off of Freeside and the Kings. The Mojave has one. Black Mountain has one. New Vegas has one. Why not Freeside? One thing I associated New Vegas with was Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, and so on, and with the Mojave I usually imagine 1950s western country music. One thing the game was missing though since it is a world stuck in the 1950s is... Rock n' Roll. The Kings them selves are based off of Elvis Presley and that is the kind of atmosphere that was given to Freeside. I was thinking of a radio station that plays Rock n' Roll, Blues, and Pop hits from the 1940s up to the 60s to fit Freeside. Right now, I am just surfing for idea's on what songs I should have. Right now this is my current selection based off of request's from both my friends and some others. Elvis Presley - Jailhouse Rock The Isley Brothers - Shout Bill Haley & The Comets - Rock Around the Clock Chuck Berry - Johnny B. Goode The Coasters - Poison Ivy The Chords - Sh-Boom Danny & the Juniors - At the Hop Jerry Lee Lewis - Great Balls of Fire Elvis Presley - Hound Dog Little Richard - Long Tall Sally Nancy Sinatra - These Boots Are Made for Walking Shirley & Lee - Let the Good Times Roll The Trashmen - Surfin' Bird The Monotones - The Book of Love James Brown - I Got You (I Feel Good) Screamin' Jalacy Hawkins - I Put a Spell on You Buddy Holly - Everyday Billy Merman - 900 Miles Little Richard - Lucille Cab Calloway - Minnie the Moocher Cab Calloway - Reefer Man (Now maybe they could have re-recorded that song and called it Jet Man) Ray Charles - I Got a Woman The Penguins - Earth Angel Chuck Berry - School Day Any other suggestions would be great. This is currently a WIP and is for my own personal use but I may release it soon in the future when it is worthy of downloads. That is because, right now it is just music. Any voice actors to be the disc jockey would be great. I am also not very good at the GECK and every time I tried to make a full radio station with disc-jockey's and advertisement and all, it usually gets bugged up and puts one of my recordings on a loop. Any tips would be great. I am learning more and more all the time.
