  1. There's a mod out there that imports all of Fallout 3 into New Vegas, and makes it a combined game. I was thinking earlier it would be truly awesome if Fallout 4 and Skyrim could be imported into Starfield. I mean, that's the advantage of all three using the clunky and outdated game engine, right? Hypothetically, it should be possible.
  2. Here's a thought. What about the Javelins from Anthem? Full-body armor suits with enclosed life support. They have a boostpack system which allows the armor to run indefinitely with a boost from the pack. And they have limited duration flight. This would work well with the map system in this game. Decent maneuverability without breaking anything, and using the existing mechanics. Obviously they'd have to be renamed to avoid copyright, but as a concept, these armors would fit well in this game, and provide the on-planet travel power we want.
  3. (bump) Any clue yet about end-game mods for ME3? Something that actually delivers on the awesome we all want?
  4. Same here. I've actually held off buying it until I find out if the MEHEM mod will support Legendary. If not, I don't see any reason to buy the game.
  5. Anyone not living in America can't use the Ration Seal system since something like 2017. If people are modding the game now, is there a workaround for this? Can someone work up a simple hack to enable Ration Seals?
  6. Apparently the only below-water vehicle will be the seatruck. Which is sad, because I really liked the Seamoth. Think it's possible for someone to create a "mod" that simply puts the Moth into BZ?
  7. What's always bugged me about Subnautica is the idea that a person, stranded on a hostile world full of things that want to eat you, will not seek to arm themselves somehow. It's as if they are so dedicated to being pacifist, that they'd rather be eaten than protect themselves. I know the developers were trying to create a game based on the idea that pacifism is the ideal solution, or something like that. But my answer is simple. Parachute the developers into backwoods Africa, and tell them to walk home. Assuming they make it back at all, how long do you think it'll take before they arm themselves with whatever they can kitbash? The pacifist moral high ground only works if you're not in imminent danger of death, or if you truly do not care if you live or die. Very few people fit that category. Which is why I'm hoping someone here comes up with a more useful set of defensive options for Subnautica. I'm not talking machine guns and bombs, here. But unless you assume the stranded person is literally nothing more than a button pusher who worked in the starship's smoke shop selling chewing gum and dispensing refills to customers, they should be able to make a few changes and adjustments to the gear they're able to use. Stuff that occurs to me would be things like active cloaking for subs, allowing them to more effectively stealth past monsters. Or perhaps supercharging the Seamoth's electrical defense field to deliver more than a minor jolt to whatever they encounter. Perhaps if you're willing to charge up half the capacitor, you could drop anything short of the Leviathan, for instance. Suddenly, you're more than just spam in a can for the first monster that isn't impressed by your static shock defense. There are all sorts of things that the character could do, just using what they're provided with, to give them more of a survivable edge than what the game provides. Because in the extremely hypothetical model where little old me gets dropped on an alien planet with a reasonably smart computer, an infinite-capability printer, and a whole bunch of 3d models, I'm going to see what I can do to improve my chances of surviving. Pacifism doesn't equal survival when your life is on the line. And the option for more defense should be available. So, yeah. Hoping someone tackles that one.
  8. The folks who have been working on Fallout Who for the last five or so years, across three different games, are apparently still interested in working on it further. I just figured I'd post something here about it in case anyone with 3D character modeling experience is looking for something to do. Okay, I have an ulterior motive. I want to play more content. And I have no skill in the field. So this is how I can contribute. By getting the word a little bit further out, and hoping someone's interested. Their FB page is here.
  9. And yet none of us will update to find out. :) Well, I'll just wait and see what people post, myself.
  10. Just a request for if anyone can use Looksmenu to sculpt a Jenna Coleman face. I think the Oni face textures page has an almost-Jenna model, but for some reason, the person who sculpted it refuses to put up a looksmenu file, and instead just tells people to "figure it out themselves." That's about as helpful as dropping a box of car parts on some random schmuck and telling them to build a car. Not helpful. So I'm wondering if anyone can come up with a good Jenna Coleman face?
  11. One of the mods on the site, the Asian Face Enhanced, has a gorgeous illo of a girl on the very first image... and it actually isn't provided. Still, what occurred to me was that with only a little tweaking, it would look like an incredible Jenna Coleman reproduction. I was wondering - since I suck at this kind of thing - if someone could take that mod and create a Jenna Coleman face for Fallout? That would be awesome, and much appreciated!
  12. What I don't get, is if the thing that needs to be done most now is verifying that the 64-bit version hooks match the 32-bit version hooks, why not harness some of the interested playerbase with skills to do stuff like that to generate reports for the dedicated SKSE mod team? That way, the grunt work could be leveraged to people who want to help, while the mod team focuses on scripting and code.
  13. Is this the only solution? I tried getting the latest release of Mod Organizer 2 to work on my system, but it still apparently doesn't play with Windows 7x64, making it another in a long line of mod manager lemons. I'm totally fed up with this game. I can't enable any mods, and nothing works. The plugins file is a nightmare to manage, and frequently seems to reset itself. Has *anyone* come up with a reliable mod manager yet? I'm almost at the uninstall point, which is sad considering how excited I was about this game just a month ago...
  14. Lucky you. I haven't been able to play with a mod installed since the 1.5 patch came out. I've all but abandoned this game, now. I play Skyrim instead. At least that behaves. All the available mod managers don't work, and nothing runs. Bethesda's really gone out of its way to ensure no one will want to play their game in the future. </rant> Had to get that off my chest... Does anyone know of a mod manager which isn't NMM (has issues on my system) which works with Fallout 4 1.5? I'd like to be able to play the game again, but until it sees my mods, there's no point.
  15. I don't have a clue either. Also, the Wrye Bash for Fallout 4 has been hidden on the Nexus until they find someone who can code DLL's. Until then, they don't have a working mod manager, either. I'm stuck at the moment. Nothing works, and the "solutions" don't seem to keep between games. Fallout 4 has been transformed overnight into a giant flop which just takes up wasted space on my hard drive. I can't recall being this disappointed in a game since the ending of Mass Effect 3. If there's ever a *working* mod manager I can use, which won't mess up my games like NMM did before I removed it, I may change my mind. Until then, I'm ignoring F4 until there's a mod-friendly solution I can use.
  16. (bump) And, obviously, the plasma cutter. :)
  17. It would be awesome to see the weapons from Dead Space in this game. Especially Dead Space 3. I know, a lot of purists didn't like the less-creepy vibe in the third game, but the Bench dynamic is ideal for Fallout 4. It would be pretty straightforward to adapt weapons from DS3 to FO4 using the bench build mechanic as a guide. If that did happen, I'd really love it if the extra downloadables were also available. :) The EG-900 SMG, and the Tesla Enervator are big favorites of mine. I did the game on classic mode using only the Enervator, once. It's a perfect all-around energy weapon. The armors used in the DS series would also lend themselves well to power armor, especially since you need an armor rack to change them out, and they could be modded. All in all, there's just so much to work with there, I'm really looking forward to seeing what people come up with.
  18. The link is Field Testing Liberty Prime. It allows the player to drive a full-size Liberty Prime robot, complete with weaponry and cheesy dialogue.
  19. Okay, that helped. I also along the way uninstalled <cough>a few<cough> mods. Some of them were originally added for the "oh, cool!" factor, but were largely ignored. No sense wasting space and cluttering up the game for them. The culprit turns out to be "Field Testing Liberty Prime." I'm not sure why, but I guess I don't get to pilot my own personal Jaeger.

  21. The title says it all. I've reduced the game back to its vanilla state, and it doesn't matter. Every time I use a weapon with a plasma blast effect, the game becomes black and white. After that, I have no choice but to reload a previous save, no matter how much progress I might lose in the process. I've been all over the 'Net looking for a console command, a file, or *something* which would restore color to the game after the plasma glitch. Nothing. It's like no one will discuss this problem. Is there a fix for this? I've had to pass up several really tasty looking mods because they use plasma-style weaponry and it would happen every time I pull the trigger. How do I prevent the loss of color, or restore it? Or whatever?
  22. I'd posted elsewhere that I really got used to having Bittercup around as a companion. I used the "Bittercup Companion Restyled" version, which gave her the white hair and skin, and the goth makeup. It was fun having a snarky girl around who didn't take the wasteland too seriously, and wasn't afraid to tell the world off in a general fashion. Although there's licensing issues with a direct port, has anyone come up with a "Bittercup-alike"? Or something like that? All the companions I've seen so far are nice, and all... but I'm surprised no one tried to come up with a companion mod based on everyone's favorite F3 goth.
  23. The Bittercup companion mod is a favorite of mine, especially with the body texture replacer which gives her the pale skin and white hair. I kind of got used to having this snarky goth girl tagging along with me, and was wondering if anything like that was made for NV? While I know there are licensing issues about porting her straight in, what about "Bittercup-alikes" which could serve the same function?
  24. Well, aside from that waist being pinched in so tight it'd be like wearing a corset. :P Edit: Looked again - it'd be worse than wearing a corset. Some of it's perspective, sure, but I'd swear that the waist is about the same circumference as her thighs are under the plates. That can't be fun. Heh. Well, part of that will be the artist's conceptual model, and the fact that the armor illustration was clearly designed to tap into the "Mecha Porn" trope commonly seen with regard to female power armor. But that's really no different than some of the other armor meshes I've seen in the Fallout games. I'm sure that if such an armor could be made for the game, some compromises would have to be made to make something the character in-game could actually wear. :)
