  1. I have attempted to add plugin support and I can kind of see how it could be done, I'm just not experienced enough in coding to do it myself without breaking something (like I did, lol). Without official support for this, it seems like a lost cause. Thank you for the help, I think I learned enough to add basic support for other games, which is a good thing.
Gonna start manually pulling out mods from my Steam version and build a new modlist for the GoG version.

  2. Unfortunately, those solutions would not work with my specific issue. I'm going to look into making a Vortex Extension. Wish me luck!

Update: I've got Vortex to see the game separately but it seems that due to them using the same GAME_ID, they still use the same paths for modding.

I believe I could detach the GoG version from the Nexus's GAME_ID I'm just not sure what the repercussions of that would be. Most likely an inability to download/update mods directly from the site.
Perhaps a Vortex Dev could give me some advice?

  3. Not really a mod request, I'm just surprised no one has tried to change the model of holotapes to look more like cassette tapes. They pretty much work the same way so there would be no need to change the size or the animations associated with holotapes. If someone would to make such a mod, I would absolutely use it.

  4. I copied the normal map files into the same textures/creatures/icegoblin folder and everything works now! Thank you! For some reason I though since I didn't change the name or tell the .nif to look for a different _n.dds that it would still work. Turns out it's more important than I thought.

  5. So, I'm trying to make a new creature. Just a blue skinned goblin. So I made a new folder in the data/meshes/creatures and data/textures/creatures called "icegoblin" and copied all the vanilla texture, meshes and animation files to them so I don't overwrite any vanilla assets. I opened the textures and recolored the skin blue and saved it back as a .dds with DXT3 compression and mipmaps. Then opened the meshes in NifSkope and changed the textures to my new ones.

Looks perfectly fine in NifSkope, but in game and in the CS...

Have I done something wrong? Did I miss a step? Please help.

  6. I would like more houses and land to buy for even more variety. There's so many "Free" house mods out there that just don't feel like I've earned them.
The Ultimate Dragonborn houses should at least require completing the main quest line or something.

  7. Maybe for now, instead of giving them weight or limiting them, maybe we can find a way to make them more rare and expensive so it's a lot harder to carry around 100+ arrows?

Edit: Made a plugin to do just that and it's working. Haphazardly shooting arrows and I am now dropping in my supply, lost 20+ steel arrows and only got 8 dwemer arrows and 5 steel bolts in one dungeon crawl (I have a mod that adds crossbows to bandits). Vendors are only selling 30-50 iron and steel arrows and even less of the higher teir arrows. Just buying 100 arrows now will cost you around the 1,000s.
This will definitely make the perk to recover more arrows much more important!

Don't know if I'll upload it due to the compatibility issues with editing the arrows and bolts and the arrows leveled lists.

  8. I'd like to see a mod that makes the Ancient Nordic weapons and armour (as well as the weapons and armour skeletons and draugar use) looks like old, rusted, broken pieces of equipment.
    For example:

  9. In response to post #44643800. #44645715, #44673625 are all replies on the same post.

You can roleplay more in Unbound, imo. You just have to be more open and creative.
  10. I tried MO once and it really screwed up all my mods. Not as bad as B.O.S.S. did, but it still did. I never really needed the advanced features of MO (not because I'm not an advanced modder, I just had my own way), but if those features become seamless with Nexus I might use them. I've always been 100% Nexus loyal since Oblivion (+some LL) so knowing they are going to get an advanced programmer with mod managing software experience is good to hear and I won't have users/modders yelling at me for using NMM instead of MO.
