  1. So many ignorant people here. I would wager that nearly every commenter who has raised some sort of criticism or another hasn't even bothered to look into the project or pay a visit to their developer website. I have been following this project closely for almost 3 years and am simply appalled at the lack of respect or frankly the lack of knowledge of the amount of dedication that has been poured into this project. People complaining about the voice acting - people who most likely have not gone and listened to the various previews of the work, or witnessed first hand the auditioning process, or watched their other developer videos - all over a game which didn't even have voice acting originally :/ People saying it will seem outdated and look bad - the same people who have not poured over hundreds of pages of concept art, in game models and screenshots for the last 2 years. Ignorance. This is one of the reasons why many of you seem to be just now hearing about this because obviously you were never interested or appreciative enough. Don't forget your getting it all for free. I hate to sound rude but do understand this is just the natural response I have to other's rudeness. If you have any criticisms of this project you need to do two things. First, research it more and prepare to be pleasantly surprised. Second, if you still think that way then perhaps volunteer to contribute. They always have something that needs doing. If you wish to see more visit here: http://tesrenewal.com/
  2. I just got a new PC and have begin modding myself! So far I haven't had too many issues. I have had a few crashes but was able to locate the files myself and manually delete them which fixed the problem. I would recommend you stick with Nexus Mod Manager as its sooooo much easier! You can also un-install with a single click if there are any problems. ENB mods are going to give you trouble. I would recommend this tool: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24402/? Its like mod manager but for ENBs and is very easy to learn! Also make sure to watch these: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLE7DlYarj-DdhDG41roBVJfNCqvO5MmKP Listen to EVERYTHING Gopher says and make sure to read ALL info and instructions for every mod you download! Good luck and happy modding!
  3. Hey! I'm so sorry for taking so long to get back with you! I have been having some serious BSOD issues with my new PC. Hopefully what Asus support has had me do will fix it but if it happens again I'm gonna have to send it in and have it looked at. I might have a faulty Nvidia card. Down to business shall we? I am currently re-installing Skyrim after a recent factory reset :/ so I can't test anything until I have it up and running along with some updates and some of my other mods. As for what you sent, I never had the chance to try anything. I have looked them over though. I did try the Stakado ENB along with his other one a while back but couldn't figure out quite how it works. It's supposed to be customizable but I don't know how to do that because it has to be done in-game somehow. Any advice? I really want to try Poupouri but it won't work with lighting and weather mods. I have Climates of Tamriel and ELFX and really don't want to get rid if them. WIll this (and other ENBs that don't work with these sorts of mods) make up for the lack of cool lighting and weather? Climates of Tamriel has so many cool things it does including added sounds and what not while ELFX adds things like candle smoke and enhanced shadows. What would you recommend or what is your take on these trade-offs? I honestly haven't had enough chance to play modded Skyrim yet to know what the game would be like with or without some of these mods working together. As for the other two you recommended, one was too colorful and the other was not colorful enough :S You seem to enjoy LOTR... What do you use in your game? Are there any other mods you would recommend be it visual or something else? I really like the look of the Opethfeldt ENB and the Serenity ENB but they are both really complex to install and neither will work with lighting or weather mods >:( I pretty much want my Skyrim to look like these... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Os1G8RtqY2c https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Os1G8RtqY2c Pay close attention to the colors. Warm and rich in the light but cool and blue in the cold and the night.
  4. Hey guys! I'm pretty new to modding (just got a new PC last week :D) and have been looking around at ENB's. So I finally figured out how to install them and use presets, options, etc (though I don't understand the in-game ENB menu) and I am finally able to go through them fairly quickly to check them out without screwing up my game. Now before I ask this question, please keep in mind that a bit of familiarity and possibly just a tad bit of fanboyism for the Hobbit and LOTR films must be in order. I would of course love to hear that you love Tolkien's stories but I'm mainly talking about the film here. Have you seen it enough to know it well? I want an ENB that gives my game the general look and color scheme of the Hobbit films. It's not hard to notice how crystal clear and vibrant Peter Jackson's films look (in no small part due to the higher frame rate). I have the first two Hobbit films on Blue Ray and man oh man are they shiny! Probably the sharpest movies I have ever seen. Now besides the sharpness and lack of film grain they have kind of a unique color as well. I have noticed that everything has a very vivid color but not too vivid. In particular I have noticed kind of a golden hugh. Not the orangish sepia looking color that many "cinematic" ENB's have but a bright and sunny color. Very warm. Interiors are very warm and cozy. Nights and cold areas on mountains have a cool blue look to them. Everything pops. Metal looks very silvery. Just find some pics on Google if you want to see. So far the ENB's I have tried have either been too over saturated and orange looking or too cool and bright. I want a more golden look where snowy areas and nights are cold and blue if possible. Anyone have any ideas? I may have tried some suggestions so please be specific on presets and extra options. Also mention any other mods you think would go well together. I would like something that can maintain a decent frame rate if possible. 40-60 fps. My system specs: i7 GTX 760 8gbt RAM Also please direct me to any other forums or users where I may get a good answer if you know of any. Thanks for the consideration guys and happy modding! I have only just began my journey and I plan to explore every little path along the way! As you can probably guess I strive to make my Skyrim look very LOTR/Hobbit inspired. Feel free to recommend any mods. :D
