  1. Welp, after trying a bunch of other crap (can't even remember it all at this point) nothing helped. So i started from scratch with fresh installs of everything (save for windows and steam) on a new save file and that has fixed it for me... so far. Haven't fully rebuilt the load order yet. Still no idea what could have caused mods to fully stop working like that. The only change i'm aware was a hotfix, but that doesn't seem to have caused any widespread issue at all, so...
  2. Good suggestion, but no dice. That did seem to prevent the mod manager from resetting the mods to inactive and clearing the load order, but for some reason in the game itself i still get a warning that all the mods are still missing and it continues crashing on load. EDIT: Also, mods still aren't working when starting a new game under these conditions, so it's not just a problem with the save files somehow.
  3. As the title says. I activate my various mods in BG3 mod manager, sort the load order, and save it. This has worked for me for a long time. But now, suddenly, when i start the game from steam all mods are automatically deactivated. When i open the mod manager, every mod has been switched over to the inactive pane. I can't load any saves without crashing. No new mods have been added since this started happening. Checked that bg3 mod manager is up to date (1.0.9.7) as well as bg3 modfixer and Norbyte's script extender (v3). Not sure what's going on or how to fix. Any input would be cool.
  4. Yes i agree, building out the romance interactions with some form of repeatable content would be a welcome mod.
  5. If i understand correctly, even for the origin characters (the ones that you can choose to play as instead of a custom character) that are ok with an open relationship thing are NOT ok with it if it's with another Origin character. It has to be with someone else like Halsin.
  6. Official mod tools are on the way, so it will happen eventually (unless the tools they release are severely restricted, but that seems unlikely). Just a matter of if someone can find a workable enough solution before the release, which will be who knows when. A few months at least probably.
  7. there's no way this guy who can't even properly quote forum posts without screwing it up is the one guy who knows about this mod. If there was a functional Mass Effect style save editor for BG3 already, it would be *known*, no matter what. The guy is a full of s#*! troll.
  8. Well, Baldur's Gate 3 is a much more popular game and the character romances are a bigger part of it (well there's more of them, anyway). There's been more demand for this type of mod already in the days since release then there ever was for Divinity. So, somewhat apples and oranges.
  9. Yeah honestly a hair cut mod would be cool at this point, and that mod doesn't offer that. Super glad someone it working on it though, and as the mod author states it's still just a very early effort with ongoing work.
  10. Well the cheat engine guess may have been a good one. It seems you can edit flags using this table (https://fearlessrevolution.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=13996&sid=44a842e8b4f61b632361343ba1cdae6f#google_vignette), including tags like 'isDating'. I don't know if this actually works or not for getting multiple romances, and even if it does it seems like it might be a laborious headache. It's a bit beyond me, but it might be useful to someone.
  11. Mods are gonna allow this regardless at some point. It's just Larian being Larian and shitting on the Character Creation once more. You have more reproductive organ options than character faces... Even if that was their "worry" they could at least let us be able to only change our Custom Character's appearance, not Origins or Hirelings. if i were a cynical man, id say perhaps they didnt want to allow appearance changes because then nobody would buy the 9.99 DLC that everyone pretends doesnt exist. But that rationale wouldn't really hold given that the item's transformation effect isn't only just temporary, it transforms your appearance randomly. You only get the choose race and gender.
  12. Would love to see this too. I don't tend to replay narrative games, especially not huge RPGs, so it would be great to see as much as possible in one playthrough. I don't know, but it seems like it might be pretty simple to do? Just stop the game from checking certain flags? Maybe even cheat engine could do it.
  13. OK, for future reference i found an annoying, probably massive overkill solution to the problem, which was to just reinstall windows (11). That fixed it. Wasn't sure what else to do after reinstalling the game and steam itself (and PC reboots ofc) weren't helping. Luckily this is a brand new PC with nothing on it, so it was pretty painless.
  14. hate to break it to ya. but yes. people have said this on the larian forum. countless times. hell. go to the feedback threads right now or even from the early access days. this has been asked for since day one. its literally the second request on the forums for baldurs gates 3 lol. did you check the larian forums before asking your passive aggressive rhetorical question Here, let me correct your post: "People have asked for this on the official Larian forums already, even since early access. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like they're budging so far on allowing it." Nothing I typed was "passive-aggressive," nor was it rhetorical. Chill out, I don't browse the Larian forums and mentioned that as a possibility. And to be polite when making such requests, because I've seen how people can get overly emotional talking about things like that and start slinging insults instead of trying to get results. Much like you just did  Nice assumption, too bad it was wrong. wow you're a dweeb
