Idk if you read what i said but i did restart the game without any mods selected just playing the vanilla game too and still came across the same problem (restart meaning deleted the saves and completely restarting the whole game). it seems to be the fact that im unable to slide between the features like body, hair, face etc. Its not only limited to just the character creation either, when i try used the system menu i couldnt switch between missions and the options tab.

Update** i realized there is no way for me to slide between the different features on the menu. like above when i use the mouse it opens up the system menu. just for the heck of it i picked a race and got started to try using the console command "showracemanu" to see if that made a difference. unfortunately i got stuck because there was no way to close the menu after that. and when i tried going to the system menu to close skyrim it wouldnt let me slide over from missions to the options. someone please help!

Okay so i just installed Skyrim on my PC and downloaded some mods, Downloaded Dawnguard, and Dragonborn. So heres the problem: When i get off the cart in the beginning and it takes me to the character creation menu im not able to customize my character's looks, ex: body, hair etc. when i try clicking anywhere on the screen in the customization menu with my mouse it takes me to the system settings page. I closed skyrim and switched off all my mods and tried again, still didn't work it did the same exact thing. It also seems that when im in the system settings menu, the ESC button no longer closes the menu box, instead the mouse does. Its as if when i get to that certain point all my buttons get mixed up and it refuses to change my characters appearance. i tried every button on my keyboard and none of them switch the tabs. Am i stuck with the crappy default character look? PLEASE HELP!
