I was just playing and the same happened, but with my beloved Zevran! :wub: Zevran and my character, along with Leliana and Morrigan, were going through Orzammar Commons and Zev starts talking to Leliana about how hard in must have been in the cloister for those years without any, well, romance, and that he couldn't even imagine going that long without any, you know, romance. :biggrin: Then he said that she must be having some strong 'urges' after all that time, and if she wants to he would be happy to 'offer his services' (or something very much along those lines). :verymad: I so wanted to punch that guy in the groin after that. :verymad: To say something like that, with his boyfriend and Grey Warden, walking less than a meter in front, who could kick his rear as easy as clicking his fingers, not a very smart move. I know it's because he's just like that, not because he has feelings for her, it's Zev for the Maker's sake, he'd do anything with a pulse. But it still had me fuming. Needless to say, I don't have Leliana on my away-team anymore. :down: *laugh*...Kind of funny, I'd love the options to chime in when he says things like that too, I'd have a few choise words..Then again, I just dont take Leliana or Morrigan with me anymore...Morrigan just annoys the heck out of me so I park her, and well I dont need Leliana when I have Zevran...Works out well. He doesnt seem to flirt with the male team members either so I dont have to listen to stuff like that, and him and Oghren just crack me up, or him and shale...I seem to be a creature of habit, I've never got around to trying Sten either...but Im mumbling. As for how they handle a Romance/Relationship pack, I agree..I'd hope they would take their time with it and do it right. Then again, look how they just sever ties if you import to Awakenings. *scowl*, though I am not into RP..that would be one good reason not to import thats for sure. My warden vowed to travel with Zevran not stay with the Wardens, and they were tostay together forever...so how do I just end up on a street far away without him in sight, doing a Grey Wardens job...and why isnt Alistair there? He's a Warden, King or not..they seem to be in such rarity you'd think they would need all they can get...*smirk* I did hear that there were supposed to be notes from Leliana and Zevran left with you when you imported, cant figure out if they were cut from the release or if its a bug that you dont get them. I just dont see why they havent released such a pack yet, I mean its not like they used really famous people for their VO's, how much could it cost them really...sell those packs at 10 bucks a pop they would make tons, theres a huge calling for it. Heck, I bet 30-40% of the old VO's could be recycled. Ah well, perhaps one day they will get smart and give us what we are really after...Lets just keep our fingers crossed that DAO2 is better then what they seem to be releasing now. :wacko: As for Awakenings and not having the ability to bring over your old friends/lover...I totally agree, had I known I wouldnt of purchased it either. Unfortunatly I came to Origins late, a few days before Awakenings came out, it didnt occure to me to wait for reviews before I purchased, and I think I was so in love with Origins I didnt even bother reading the covers...That'll teach me.

This has to be one of the reasons I will not be getting DC, that and I dont really care about playing as a Darkspawn... Personally, in my browsing the forums over at BIO, one of the biggest things that I've noticed people asking for is Romance Expansion Packs, Relationship Packs..ECT. Both for Origins and Awakenings,...Awakenings needing it the most, and I for one agree with it. Instead, they seem to find a way to make an even less personable, mute and lifeless expansion? Hrmpft.... If I wanted to play a Darkspawn, I could download the MOD and do it for free...I believe someone made a MOD for this..yes? If I want some cool shield or items, well I can download a MOD for that too. So why not spend a couple of extra bucks to get some extra VOs from the exisiting characters and throw us a Romance/Expansion pack...I paid 40 bucks for Awakenings and have only played it once because its just so, blah....what would spending another, oh 10 bucks to make it playable do.. I'd definatly pay a little extra to bring some life into Awakenings, and personally I'd much rather them let us bring the older party members there as well...expecially my Zev, but I digress. .. I hope this mute, lifeless streak they have going with expansions doesnt show a sign for things to come in DAO2, because like Elooocin, they spoiled me with Origins and If I wanted to play some Hack and Slash game without personality I have tons of them to play instead. *Le Pouty Panda* @ BIO :sad:

Aww, see I feel the same way about yummy Zev. I just cant seem to bring myself to romance anyone else...though I have, for badge purposes only. I just get the badge and reload! I also wont leave camp without em.... :wub:

Yeah, new DLC http://dragonage.bioware.com/addon/ So, if this is the one Leliana is in..dont get your hopes up. I doubt its a Romance pack, or a pack allowing the old Group to return to the Warden. WTG BIO :verymad:

No, not yet..and funny enough I dont see my question posted under my question list. I'll give it a day or two more then I'll email them back, scream about my post getting deleted..and maybe they will have loose lips. I am kind of mad that my question is not there, they better of not deleted it and ignored me.... :verymad:

I would like to see more classes and races too, but then again..at least for now you can always make your own in Origins. Tons of tutorials on how to. Follow the Toolset you can even make a Qunari Character to play (Size, Look) then if you felt like taking it a bit further make your own skills for it, alot of work but it can be done at least. The one good thing I like about BIO is how they release the Toolset, allowing the players the options to customize their games to a point. Of course you need to know how to use it, but by now there are tons of tutorials for most things. As for how easy the game is, I never play off of easy mode anyways, I tried and felt that the drops/money didnt scale as well as it should..was no reason IMO, but I wasnt really looking for a challenge, just to sit back and enjoy it. Perhaps I just had bad luck with what was given when the Bosses went down, or what I found. As for exploits, Im sure no matter what they do people will find ways around things to find exploits, the thing is..being a single player game all they are doing is exploiting themselves. At least, I was unaware if you could connect in anyway and play Multi person. So, at least it isnt effecting someone elses game as it would in an MMORPG, and think of even that, look at the exploits people find in them as well, it happens. As for the potions, perhaps that was intentional, a way to make money so they could afford the expensive gear on the vendors, at least they are working for it,...Before people found exploits that is, but who knows eh?. Thats just my view on things of course, what they exploit in their game only effects them, besides there are greater and far more easier gold exploits in Origins besides making potions...and with the toolset you probably dont even need to exploit for money at all :wink:

Well thanks! It was just a bunch of things I could even think of off the top of my head. I would like to play Awakenings more, it cost enough..but ..eh. I'll definatly be careful before purchasing DAO2 though, as if it is like Awakenings it then becomes useless to me. Unless they totally pull away from the DAO storyline all together and make it it's own game, and even then it's questionable. I wish I had the know how to make games, trust me! That would definatly be one job I would love to have. Or, game tester, even better.....I just get a mental image of the movie Grandmas Boy there..'I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it..' Lets just hope they hear the masses out there that scream for it back, and give it. If I just want to hack and slash with no sound I can go play WOW... :whistling:

Romances, Friendships, Old Style Conversation and Party Banter.....Zevran..Zevran..Zevran. I played Awakenings just once fully. The 'new style' conversations,....Oh look a clickable tree....'Party Member Says, I remeber a tree like this blah blah blah' end of dialogue just didnt cut it for me personally. Yeah, great gettin to know ya, we talked for 3 seconds, I trust you with my life now! Besides, I liked listening to the banter of the old party while running from point A to point B, expecially the humorous stuff. Romances: I miss too, I think it was a cool implimentation that I just missed on the Awakenings play through a bunch. Not just the 'steamy romancing' but any of it, starting it out, watching it blossom, getting Morrigan to puke while you smooched outside of the camp. Make 2 versions if you need, a PG and an Adult, cover all markets. The one thing I dislike about alot of MMO's though I do understand why its in place is having to lose out on content because of parental ratings, Im an adult..moniter your kids. if he/she is playing a game rated adult, dont let them? Not always easy I imagine but... Look at Conan, in Beta there was so much 'more' and that was the appeal of the game, the hype, once it got published so much was cut out, trying to PG it up. Oh no, cant have the quest giver making chick on chick references. Would it be so hard to make the game fully Adult, then for the PG version just delete those options and release 2?..I dont know, I guess thats why I am not working for a gaming company. Which brings me to the old crew. The way ties were just suddenly cut off with no explinations, Awakenings didnt really feel like an expansion DLC for Origins, just more of like a small stand alone that you could import your 'vital stats' from, to me anyways. I personally have grown quite fond of Zevran, I for one would love to see him return..So would my Warden, considering she decided not to stay with the Wardens but travel with him..and that didnt quite happen in Awakenings now did it? But given the option she would have traveled at his side, and he hers just like they talked about, and mentioned in the ending prolog..Or, marrying Alistair, yeah they would send a Queen to fight the blight, but your loving, 'I will never leave your side' husband the King..he is still a Warden too, and wasnt one for standing around while there were Darkspawn to be killed, expecially when his ''loves' life was in danger. This is the man that given the option would sacrifise his life without question nor option, so his love didnt die...Yet, where is he? You'd think at the very least he would be standing in the Throne Room or something. If they are following anything from DAO with all the options above added back, then I would also love to see the areas the Party Members raved about also. Perhaps a trip to Antiva to collect your studly assassin, or a stroll through the crowds of Orlais to find your favorite Bard. Begin a journey to track down the vanishing Morrigan, depending on your ending with her..your reasoning could be different here. Finding your child, or kicking her butt for leaving you to die because she didnt 'get her way', so much for friendship, ECT. I wouldnt even be against seeing the Awakenings party members there, if you could actually converse with them at anytime like Origins, not standing around mute until you find some one time clickable trees. More hair, long hair, short hair...whatever. My poor elf gets the shaft, even in MODS..all the awesome hairs are for Humans. So I find I spend most of my time trying to figure out the hair files for the Toolset, praying I can figure out how to get the pretty Human Hairs to work on the Elven heads..so far, almost but no cigar. It would be nice to have a bit more customization options when creating a character in certain areas. Creating the character: it would be nice, when creating one from scratch that they customize the 'mock tutorial' or your base storyline to your class. Nothing like being a Noble Warrior and having everything in the Castle locked. Or being a duel wield elf that starts with a bow. And, the ability to place your points where you want to, without a MOD. Better looking armor: I have to admit, at least this isnt to bad, look at WOW. Least here your not a circus clown here. BUT, helmets..Im going on a limb here to say 70-80% of the people do not like seeing the helmets on their heads, expecially after spending all that time on customization, give us the option to turn that on and off. Targeting: Better targetting. Nothing like trying to target a mob and you keep clicking on your melee...or having to pause the game every second. Annoying. Adding in something like Tab-Targetting would be awesome. I am sure theres about a billion more technical aspects that could be made better, and hopefully are for DAO:2, but personally, Im really just hoping they add back in the ability of friendships and romances in the old style, and the old group members back...

That would be awesome, that is definatly one thing I myself miss in Awakenings. I know alot of people dont, and I respect that..and I think maybe that is a good thing about DLC, if you like the new way of Awakenings, dont buy the Romance DLC! I myself liked smooching on Zevran and making Morrigan wanna vomit...*laugh*

I havent heard anything about that, but it would be wonderful if they started to bring the old crew back into Awakenings! I really hope so... For now, Firinneach has been working on a MOD that has added Leliana and Zevran there, no voice but you can interact with them at least...It's been nice to see my Zev.. *Edited* I contacted EA, hopefully they will give a little hint or something on it. I also asked if they planned on bringing any of the others and if they planned on a romance pack, or at least letting us extend the romance from origins over...pray they are nice enough to give little hints!
