  1. Whelp, at this point I think I'm going to start over. I'm wondering if there is some carry over issue that is messing with me. If I get the the 6 to 8 hour mark again and it keeps happening i'll update. Only other thing I can think of is to uninstall everything and start over.
  2. Steam told me "1 file failed to validate and will be reacquired." Not sure what that means but there you have it. ***EDIT*** I just tried loading my game and got the same thing as before. It tries to load, and after a second the music fades out but the game keeps changing the background and "note". When I Ctl, Alt, Del and bring up the Task Manager it shows NV as Not Responding.
  3. Steam is in process of Validating files....I was going to wait till it was done to post but I hit the wrong button....
  4. Ok. Unfortunatly I'm out of town for a few days so I'll have to check on it when I get back.
  5. No modds added or removed. I wanted to give it a week or so to test stability. I'm not sure about the cache through steam. Could you walk me through that. I have re run Wyre and Everything is still green. My saves (even the new ones that won't load) show as purple.
  6. Well. I can get the save files to load if I do the Doc Mitchell trick...but When i saved and go back to desktop to reload....Same issue as before. I'd really rather not have to listen to Doc every time I want to load one of my saves....
  7. Looks Like I may have spoken to soon. The last few nights I've been interrupted with the game crashing. The first time it loaded back up no problem, Now I can't get anything to load again. The loading screen comes up but the music stops and it just sits there. I checked Wyre again and the saves all show Purple. I'm trying the New game trick again now.

  9. Awesome. I appreciate your assistance. I'll run the game for the next few days to see have stable it is and hopefully not need to ask for any more help.
  10. Alright I was able to access my latest save game with your tip! While the autosave got overwritten so I lost an hour or so of gameplay....I won't be loosing a little over 8 (I know that isn't much for a game like this but I didn't really want to replay it. One final question. Now that I have a semi stable game again what steps woudl I take if I want to try another mod/mods? Just re run Wyre and see if it wants me to create a new Bashed Patch?
  11. I want planning on doing both. Just wondering at the difference. LOOT seemed to indicate there were quite a few things I needed to tend to.
  12. I'll give that a shot this evening. Another quick question I was going to look into those errors that LOOT gave me with FNVEdit. I know you said not to use a Bashed patch and the patch that FNVEedit creates at the same time. Will FNVEdit also fix the issue those two mods had?
  13. Ok here is what I've done thus far. 1. I ran LOOT and it gave me some things it told me I need to finx with FNVEdit but I have NOT done anything other than install FNVEdit at this time. 2. I got Wyre Flash Installed and created a Bashed Patch for LingsPrettyThings.esp=1 and VyntageCass02.esp=1 (they show the "+" in the box when viewed in Wyre) 3. I tried to load my autoasve (the most "recent" save I have) and the game told me the save relied on information no longer available or some such. I proceeded to try loading. Same problem as before. The load screen came up but after a moment the music stopped playing but the Tips kept scrolling. When bring up the Task Manager it tells me New Vegas is not responding so I End Task.... I have also re ordered my load order like you said to in post number two current load order to follow: GameMode=FalloutNV FalloutNV.esm=1 LonesomeRoad.esm=1 OldWorldBlues.esm=1 HonestHearts.esm=1 DeadMoney.esm=1 GunRunnersArsenal.esm=1 CaravanPack.esm=1 ClassicPack.esm=1 MercenaryPack.esm=1 TribalPack.esm=1 Lings.esm=1 Goodsprings Shack.esp=1 LingsPrettyThings.esp=0 VyntageCass02.esp=0 Bashed Patch, 0.esp=1
  14. The only two Mods the Wyre Flash recommended get bashed (did I say that right) were LingsPrettyThings.esp=1 VyntageCass02.esp=1 So I created a Bashed Patch for them. When I look at NMM do I check those mods as well as the Bashed Patch or not. I think it told me to unselect them when I went to create the Bashed Patch.
