They all say "(Default)," except for the most latest version... You'd think that the latest version would be default, and the older ones, not default, but.... ????

O.K. Thanks guys for all of your input. It was really helpful. Follow up question. So, I guess I could delete the oldest versions one at a time, then run "Deploy Mods" in Vortex, and if it gives me some kind of error message, then that's where I should stop deleting? Or, when I get an error message, restore that older version, and go on to delete the next older mod until I'm only left with a few versions of that mod? (Damn, I hope that made sense!)

I just noticed that I've got what seem to be duplicates of a mod installed... Do these build on each other, and I need them, or can I get rid of the older version? For example: I have Base Object Swapper installed, and I see that I have five versions from 2.6.1 up to 3.3.1. I also have DynDOLOD Resources, eight versions from Alpha-47 to Alpha-55, as well as fifteen versions of DynDOLOD from Alpha- 167 and Alpha-170 up to Alpha-190. The same with Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch, Powerofthree Tweeks, and some others. Do I need all of those older versions? Do they build on each other? Or are they really just taking up space, and I can get rid of them?

This is why One Punch Man was always so board and so unenthusiastic about his work...

In Skyrim, you can Legacy the "Perks" back to 15 and level it up again. You can't do that in Remastered Oblivion?

It might have something to do with the fact that adults aren't the only ones playing the game, and that kids might get exposed to the stuff. The same penalties and restrictions being put on sites like Pornhub might get slapped on sites like Nexusmods because of the NSFW being accessible to kids.

[MOD REQUEST] Remove The Sandals of the Flame Atronach

You'd think that someone would have figured that sandals would... you know, catch fire and be reduced to ashes... -

Mod Request: Armor - Dirty Clothes/Body
DirebearCoat replied to FurryFreedom's topic in Oblivion's Mod Ideas
It would be cool to see reactions from characters, as your character gets dirtier overtime, like an in keeper promoting their bath or the nearest bathhouse (if that exists in game). Or guards preventing you from entering the palace until you've gotten yourself cleaned up. Or passersby muttering under their breath about, "the riffraff on the streets these days." Your followers should get dirty, too, and could complain, "When are we gonna stop for a wash? The flies are really getting to me!"- 1 reply

So, the game has been released to the public just a few days ago. I see a lot of requests for mods to fix certain bugs or problems. Shouldn't these complaints and suggestions be made to Bethesda? They need to fix the problems in the base game. No? I thought modding was supposed to be about adding mini quests, or adding followers, or adding new things to the game that wasn't part of the game, not fixing bugs... Or am I missing something?

It looks different from all of the other spiders in the game. It would be kind of odd to see a single "boss" spider in the entire land, without running into them throughout a particular region of Skyrim, first. So, if Sting is by herself... That would seem out of place. I would think that, for example, I should be seeing lots of smaller versions of Sting (Sting's brood or Sting's broodling?) the size of normal frost spiders in The Reach/Markarth region. Meanwhile, somewhere hidden within the craggy mountains is the cave system where Sting lives and hatches her brood. Sting, would probably be the size of giant frost spiders, but should probably be tougher, since she's a unique "boss." Maybe make up a background story about Sting. Some Markarth noble's kid had it as a pet spider, imported from a far away land, but it got too big, so they let it go somewhere in the mountains. Or, a Hagraven had it for her experiments, but lost control of it, and the cave system to the giant spider, and now it's infesting and endangering the entire region... (You'll have to fight Reachmen AND Sting's brood (broodlings?) to get to Sting to put an end to her.

I know the remastered game has just come out, but you've been playing for several hours already, by now. 1) How is the UI, compared to original game? 2) Have they changed the skills selection menus, leveling up, perks (how has that changed between the original and the remastered)? Is it better now, worse? Better AND worse? 3) Did they change anything important? What and how? 4) The visuals looked pretty good in the video on Steam, but if you're running the game on the minimum required hardware, how did it compare? 5) Can you switch between first person and third person, or are you stuck on first person the whole time? 6) What are your complaints about the game? 7) What are your compliments for the game? 8 ) What mods are you running and is it worth it to play without the mods, first before playing again without the mods? Or are certain mods essential, which ones, and why?

Skyrim SE - Mod Detectives Thread

Thanks for sharing the name of those mods. I'm going to have to have a look at them! Also, I'm glad you solved your problem! -
@Transwarp10 If you use the screenshot tool, you'll be able to share a clean image of that map - that we can then copy and make into a Wallpaper on our PCs! That is, if you don't mind...

It is kind of surprising that the station where you build the house from remains in place, but you can't "remodel" your home... "Hmmm.... I want to tear down the greenhouse and build a bed room suite instead..." kind of a thing.

Skyrim SE - Mod Detectives Thread

Maybe I read it wrong, but it seems to me he was saying a mod that eliminates dragon weapons (and armor?) for the player character - period. I'm thinking, 'Well, if he doesn't want his character to use those items, then just don't use them.' But if I misunderstood, and what he was saying was for a mod that creates a better organization of menu items in the crafting menu.... Well then, I really misunderstood. -

* scratches head * How about just selling the weapons and armor drops for the money? Also, you could opt to NOT build such weapons and armors... Sell the dragon bones and scales for cash... If you don't like the bone armor and weapons, don't use them. -
Interesting NPCs - Game-breaking Bug + CTD
DirebearCoat replied to Muroj's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Say, joetg514, you are aware that that post was from 2023, right? But thanks for your suggestion. If anyone else happens to have that issue, maybe your solution will help... -
Cool map. I've always wondered what Tamriel looked like. Off topic: Which country do the Thalmor come from? Black Marsh = Argonians, Morrowind = Dunmer, Elswyr = Khajiit, Valenwood = Wood Elves, Cyrodiil = Imperials (Humans), Skyrim = Nords (Humans), Hammerfell = Redguards (Humans). What race/s lives in High Rock and Summerset Isles? So then, where do the Thalmor (High Elves) come from?

I was willing to pay up to 20,000 Septims for it! But Lucan Valerius wouldn't sell! I tried talking to his sister, Camilla, but she was even more stubborn about it! Well! I finally got Lucan to sell it to me, and the dummy only charged me 1500 Septims for it! How did I get him to change his mind?! A Question About Paceable Statics - Move Anything
DirebearCoat replied to DirebearCoat's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Please forgive the bump, but after re-reading my post, I realized that it was confusing... So, I reworded my question. Please see the edited question above. Again, my apologies. -
Thanks, Lollia and Karna5, for your insights. Things to keep in mind. I hope more people will join in and give their two cents!

EDIT: Let me start over. First, I installed Placeable Statics - Move Anything, over a year ago. General Store vendors sold furniture. A couple of months ago, I installed Solitude Furniture Store. Since I wasn't using it, I uninstalled it. Then, little by little, the General Store vendors stopped selling furniture (from Placeable Statics). I can't find where, but I read somewhere that blacksmiths were also supposed to sell furniture, but I've never seen them sell any. How do I fix it, so that vendors start selling furniture again? END EDIT: [Original post with unclear information] I asked this on the page for the mod: Placeable Statics - Move Anything, but there seems to be very little traffic there, these days. So, I'm repeating the question, here. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/342?tab=posts&BH=0 I installed a mod called Solitude Furniture store. Later, I uninstalled it, because I didn't use it. Then, little by little, the vendors around Skyrim stopped selling furniture. Also, when they were selling furniture, only the general store vendors sold furniture. However, I read somewhere that other vendors were supposed to be able to sell furniture. How do I get the vendors to sell furniture again?

I know that people who are still here, playing Skyrim, REALLY LOVE THIS GAME. However, I'm sure that many, here, have played Fallout 4. How does it compare to Skyrim, in terms of game play, replayability, immersion, story line, etc? I'm sure that the game is completely different from Skyrim in a lot of ways, but in what ways are they similar? Do you strongly recommend it? Is it, "meh"? Or somewhere in between? I'm thinking of maybe getting it.
