Hey there! I know that the game hasn't been released yet, but I wished to ask if something were possible. You guys have a better knowledge of the technology here than I do so I figured the best way was just to put it to you. I was wondering if it were possible to put text chat into 76. When 76 was announced my friends and I were all very excited as it'd give us a chance to RP together while wandering the Wasteland, however as time went on it seemed that they would make this game less of a Multiplayer online experience and more of a straight up destiny shooter with building mechanics. To turn it back into the RPG I was wondering if there was any way to put in a text chat or a text client, so that friends on PC can communicate via text rather than speech. That way they can RP to their heart's content without being screamed at by "EdgeLord Bigman312". Just a thought; thanks for the time though guys! Take care and I hope you guys can help save 76; I fear it's looking to be somewhat...problematic so far. Take care!

Hey there I was wondering if there could be a mod for Custom Flags. In essence what I'm looking for is a file that is somewhat open so I can transfer the picture file in to Photoshop, edit and alter the flags and then transfer them back to their old folder. I'm looking for a way to edit and alter the flags at will, rather than having to trouble the modding community with each individual custom flag I would like to include. This way, all the flags are open. At the end of the day I'm not a coder, so I can't slip in to the program like others can, untangle the mess, get what I want and disappear without the whole thing falling apart. What I'm after, personally, is a way to have a picture file of the flag in a directory folder, so that if the flag is altered and saved back in to the directory then the flags appear naturally; much like how the textures appear in many other games. Hope that's clear, and I hope someone out there can help me. Take care of yourselves, and hope to hear from you soon! Sy

Good afternoon, I was wondering if someone would be able to add several colours to the skin-tone palettes for each race, though to be frank I don't wish just for the normal skin tones but for abnormal ones too. Skin as pale as paper, or as dark as coal, perhaps a grey that sits in between or a skin that's a little too orange or a little too pink to be seen as human. A green skinned assault standing next to a red skinned Heavy, and so on and so forth. In essence I wish to include a colour palette in to the skin tones. While I realize that many people have requests, some of which are large and complicated, so thank-you in advance for your time to try and see if this (seemingly) simple one is possible or not. Hope you have a good day and hope to hear from this thread soon! Sy Ps. Also, please forgive the misspelling in the title; while colour is a regional spelling, pallet should be palette (I think).

Human Hybrid mutations as Player Characters
Syonide replied to Syonide's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Ideas
Ah makes sence, though I can imagen they would move every time when a person walks of shifts because of the movement of the arms being connected to the shoulders...actually that'd work as little twitches to the wings as the player moves. Thanks again for the tips! ^_^ I'm afraid though I don't know how you would go about doing this; I just hope someone takes up the challenge! -

It wouldn't? But what about issues with clipping and such? Would they attached straight to the body? -

Thanks for the comments, and I hope that I'm lucky aswell. Though to awnser about the vault queries, what I meant by changing its stats was so that you could wear it thoughout the game, giving it the stats of the armoured vault suit or pitt raider armour; something to the extent of a DT of 15 or something like that. Though to be honest I'd only be allowed to wear one peice of armour anyway because of the wings (which would probably be attached to the suit itself). Here's hoping someone takes up the challenge, even if it is with a much more conventional bodyshape. Oh, one last point; I would love if this suit could start in vault 101. I know I've asked for so much already with this one, but I figured I'd mention it. Thanks again! -
Good afternoon all I have a bit of a challenge for the budding and veteran modders alike; something that is a bit different and unfortunately something a little strange. I was wondering if someone would be so kind as to attempt to make me a mutated human mod; or rather a hybrid mod of the humans and the various creatures and monsters out in the wasteland. The image included would be for the creation of a human/Queen ant hybrid, but other hybrid creations would certainly be viable for later designs; including everything from Rad-Scorpion to Deathclaw and back again. With a willing modder or two, creating hybrid player characters and NPCs could also allow people to use them for their various “home grown plots”, new areas and more. This is more to try and find someone who is willing to create such a thing. The example I have at the moment is this…(Forgive the rather rushed artwork, I’m not great) http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff105/Jedi-and/FalloutQueenAntHybrid.png Esentually the things that would be needed, broken down so I don't confuse myself: >The Antenna from A Queen Ant, a Soldier ant or which ever other ant is out there and placed on the forhead. This could either be a change to the model itself or done as a piece of headwear that the player puts on (the negative to this being that in scenarios where you are stripped naked such as Zeta you appear suddenly very human) >A vault suit would have to be edited to accomidate several factors, the different shape (in regards to the rather full hourglass), the wings (again stolen shamelessly from a Queen Ant, though they are not needed to flutter), a new number (again another luxury like the skin) and a stat-change (so we can wear this particular vault suit all game without editing more armour) >A skin tone (and/or a race) would have to be created to have the reddish-tinted skin, the freckles and the markings, though in fairness this is less important given everything else. >A low level Perk (again a luxury) which would include very minor rad-resistance and very minor damage resistance. >Have a New Vegas version of this (again, a luxury) I realise this is a little strange, but I’m hoping that if this goes well I can design a few other hybrids for people so that they are able to take their own mutated vault-dwellers out there and enjoy the life out in the eradiated wastes of America. If a modder wants to do this but would like me to design a different hybrid, I’m more than happy to do so; I’d like this one to make it out there first. I’m always willing to doodle up designs in exchange for game mods, by the by. Thanks again for all your help and I hope someone takes up the challenge! Yours Sy

Unable to install FO:NV GECK
Syonide replied to Syonide's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Troubleshooting
Thanks for the help! -
Hey there Sorry to trouble but I downloaded the GECK for Fallout New Vegas and I seem to be having a few issues with it, primarily that once I downloaded it from Bethesda's website it seemed not to, well, do anything. The .EXE file for it wouldn't open, and every time I tried it would say that it is "unable to locate component" and "the application failed to start because libvorbisfile.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem." The issue is that I can't reinstall, because that was the file to install it in the first place, unless I'm missing something. I was wondering if someone could please assist with this; this is starting to become confusingly circular in the fact I can't fix the problem until I reinstall it, but I can't install it until I've opened the exe. I hope someone helps this poor, computer illiterate, idiot soon. Take care Sy

File Conversion from Fallout 3 to New Vegas
Syonide posted a topic in Fallout New Vegas's Discussion
Hey there guys Sorry to trouble, but I was hoping for a little help. I was hoping to transfer a peice of armour that was kindly customised for me in to Fallout New Vegas, however a straight transfer of the files seem to just cause the game to crash on entry. I have put up a request for someone to transfer it for me, but I think it's about time that I learned how to do it for myself. If someone could help me, with clear and simple instructions, I'd be apriciative. (Forgive the bad spelling!) I hope to hear from you soon! Sy -
Hey there I'm sorry to trouble but I was wondering if someone could transfer the file of the Black Widow armour from the Fallout 3 Nexus to Fallout New Vegas (the file being found here http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12417) In essence I have just found the "play as the Lone Wanderer" Mod and I would like to end up wandering the wastes later on as my Fallout 3 character but, given my fallout 3 character was a rather mentally unstable individual who's first forays out of the vault caused her to have a slight Messiah complex, she donned a spider suit and ran around the wastes as a superhero with a flamethrower. The flamethrower I can find, it's just the super suit I can't. So, if I may request it, I would like someone to transfer the Black Widow Costume (the thick one if I only get the choice of one of them) so that it can be utilised in Fallout NV. If you could put it in to a Lockbox, perhaps in the doctor's office when you first wake up, along side some biker goggles I'd be appreciative. There is just one other thing that I need to ask; the armour can not be repaired manually and only by NPCs in the game. I'd like this changed, if I may; I could do with being able to wander the wastes and repairing it with metal or leather armour, or whatever someone deems appropriate. Considering so far I have only found one man who can repair this sort of thing for you, I really would prefer if someone changed it so the player can repair it. That's...about it, really. I hope someone takes this on. Hope to hear from you soon. Syonide

Non-faction Salvaged NCR Power Armour
Syonide replied to Syonide's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Ideas
Heh, thanks guys! You're the best! And as for the brotherhood armour; yes it is better, but I'm going for a theme. Long live the NCR! :P -
Hey guys I hope someone who knows how to use the GECK better than I do can help me with this; on the site there is the "Discontinued NCR Armour" mod, where upon you can collect a series of NCR specific armours but they are not linked to the faction, so your squad...er...companions are able to wear them. I'd like that, but for the salvaged power armour. So far I have everyone bar two in their uniforms, and one of those is a super mutant. The other is Veronica who, rather stubbornly, refuses to wear the armour she has been given in preference for her robes. Generally, to my understanding, this happens when you give them armour that is less than their own. In keeping with the theme, therefore, I'd like to ask for someone to make her some Salvaged Power Armour that has no faction allegiance. There doesn't have to be any changes to the armour itself, and in fact I'd prefer if it was aesthetically the same. You wouldn't even have to change any of the stats. I don't want to change ALL the power armour in the game, just get one suit of "Discontinued Salvaged Power Armour" stuffed in a box somewhere in Camp McCarran or something. That way I can have her wander around looking like a member of the NCR along side everyone else (bar one). Thanks for your time and I hope that someone takes this task on. Yours Sy

Hello all I have a small request; I have been a fan of some of the armors from fallout 3 (including the DLC), such as the Iconoclast Raider armor from the Pitt. I am rather hoping that, with some assistance, I can get a few in to Fallout New Vegas. However, I would like a few changes to the outfits, nothing major just a little shape adjustment. I’d be happy with a straight transfer, but I what I would really prefer is a little change here and there to the shape of it, specifically the female models of a few armors. While I can appreciate the supermodels that have been kicking around due to the Type 3 female Mod, I am personally not that interested in having a character that can walk down the catwalk, and I can find mods for them easily given their popularity. That said I would like to play through the game as a woman of different proportions all the same. To that end I humbly request that a few of the armor listed are changed for a woman who is heavier set. They would still be curvy and alluring but bigger all round; they would have thicker thighs, bigger hips and rump, broader shoulders, thicker arms and wider around the middle. They have certainly had a few healthy meals but not enough to be considered very overweight, just…robust or rubenesque, maybe plump. Mod request in a nutshell: I would like a straight transfer from Fallout 3 to New Vegas of some armor. If able I would like the armor in question to look as if it is worn by a thicker, curvier hourglass woman rather than the stock model or the supermodel Type 3. Armor for Transfer and/or Adjustment: Iconoclast Armor – This is the primary one and a personal must. Enclave Officer’s Uniform – Despite the fact I disliked the faction, I liked the look of their uniforms. Slaves Outfit – Sometimes times are tough Metal Armor – Sometimes you just need to hit something big. Other Armor and clothing ideas for adjustment Factions armours (NCR armor specifically) – When you want their stuff, but not membership Unequipped model – For those times when someone’s stolen my stuff Mod armors – Such as the Ghost Bodysuit and The Blackwidow Antagonizer Mod I hope someone takes on this challenge and offers those of us that would prefer a woman of stockier stature in the wastes the chance to wander as them. Hopefully we might get a few models out of it. At the very least hopefully someone will transfer over the Iconoclast Armor. I will attempt to get a picture or two of what I mean for the sort of shape of the changes. Take care and hopefully will hear from someone later.

Thanks very much man, this'll be great to be going on with. You're a star for making a start and it's very apricitated. Now I have to find out how to get ahold of them in game...

That's awesome! And yes, that's the sort of thing I was thinking of. Thanks very much for turning your hand to this Mod. I can't wait to see more, if you're willing to do a few more! Thanks again!

I have heard of the Wild Girls project, but I can’t find even find shadows of the project anywhere, nor this “Robert” that you were talking about. Any idea where to find the posts in question? I do hope, however, that I can find someone who is willing to do the models. I realise that Mods like these have a hard time when out amongst things like “Armour from this videogame”, which will be popular with a lot of people, but I’m sure that there’s someone out there who would be willing to do this. I’ll keep looking for the mods you mentioned above, but if you could post a link to them I’d be appreciative. Take care!

Here is a sort of example of what I meant. Please forgive the rather rough and messy look of it but it was a bit of a rush job. The models and the textures are esentually unchanged from the origoinal files with the exception of the bump. http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff105/Jedi-and/MaternityRequestsized.jpg I'll try and get a few more rough sketches up on what I was thinking but yes, I'm hoping someone takes up the challenge.

Hello all. This is an unusual request I understand but I was wondering if anyone would create a “Maternity set”, or at the very least one or two items of “Maternity wear”. In essence the idea is to create a few items of clothing (some choice armours as well) and give them the appearance of a woman in the later stages of pregnancy. I realise this is unusual, bordering on the downright bizarre, but I do have a modicum of logic to the madness. There are no pregnant women throughout the entirety of the wastes; there are no pregnant settlers, vault dwellers, raiders, slaves, nothing. So why not be the one that happens to wander the wastes? And considering that the game, even with the expansion packs, seems to happen over the course of a few months it would still make sense why the character hasn’t given birth yet. I am a fan of the unusual, as my previous request is sure to show, but I just find it a bit strange there is one figure amongst all the NPCs and Companions that are wandering the Capitol wastes; I’m not complaining I just happen to be curious. I, however, am not very good with modding and therefore ask someone who is willing to help me on this. There would be no stats changes, or even texture changes for the most part, but it would be a series of armours that would have its model changed to have the bump. If there are those of you out there who are more ambitious then you’re free to try and make a Perk to go with all of this, but I’d be happy with just the suits. What I would like, if the modders are so inclined, is set out in stages (as if following the game); Vault 113 Jumpsuit: This is your bog-standard 101 jumpsuit that has been edited for the bump, as well as given the number 113 on the collar and back. I don’t mind if you pick one of the other vault pieces of clothing (maintenance, science, security, etc) as long as it can be found in Vault 101 at the start straight after you wake up for your escape of the vault. I don’t even mind if it’s missing the 113, after all it’s the actual model that’s important. Raider/Merc Armour: One of the raider or Merc armours that has been edited to suit the shape; of course because a lot of the raider costumes are sporting a bare midriff I’m not sure how this will work as my limited understanding on the engine uses the actual model underneath, so unless there’s a body replacer in the works it would probably have to be the Sadist or Iconoclast armours for the raiders or the Merc Charmer outfit. Found in Megaton, probably in the ladies’ bathroom. Leather Armour/Combat armour: Again, bog standard leather or combat armour sized for the expectant mother in the wastes, when you just need that little extra protection. Winterized Armour would be preferable, but I’m happy either way. Chinese Stealth Armour (Minus head covering): For those ladies who really need to get out of the line of fire, the Chinese stealth suit is sized for comfort and convenience, comrade. (Expect two to three weeks for requisition delivery). Probably stored exactly next to the actual stealth suit. The only reason for the missing head covering is that I like looking at my characters. Spacesuit/Interface suit/Tattered Slave Outfit Bringing a new creature in to the wastes shouldn’t mean that you can’t fulfil the plot because there’s no room to grow on the new costume. These are more for plot based clothes that you need, such as the examples above. Set next to where you need to find them. Thanks for taking a look at these and I hope to hear from people soon. Take care! Sy

Turning AntAgonizer in to the Black Widow
Syonide replied to Syonide's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Ideas
That's great! I tried it out before I had to run for work. It works great; I've come across no problems so far, no mesh issues and it looks fantastic! Thank-you! If you'd be up for it, I have a few more costume ideas for those characters of a less mainstream figure. You've done great, especially if this is your first mod, and I'd love to grab you for a few more pieces of armour and costume! Thanks again! -
Turning AntAgonizer in to the Black Widow
Syonide replied to Syonide's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Ideas
Ah, fair enough. What you've done so far has been fantastic all the same! Considering the item, the best place would probably be somewhere around Canterbury commons (In the Diner or the AntAgonizer's lair), if that's possible. I can't wait to see what this looks like in game! Thanks again. -
Turning AntAgonizer in to the Black Widow
Syonide replied to Syonide's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Ideas
Yes, exactly! That's what I had in mind, though I will admit that the sketch is a bit thicker than the edited model (then again the sketch is stylised a tad). But yes, that's perfect! Thank-you. I can't wait to see the completed costume. ^_^ -
Hello there. I have a small request on a modification on the AntAgonizer's suit. I would be very appreciative if someone could undertake the adjustment as I'm rather ignorant on how to manage it myself and I tend to leave things like this in to the hands of more knowledgeable gamers. The modifications are as follows: 1) Texture Modification I wish to have the suit's colour changed to black, dark grey and red rather than brown, cream and dark brown. The intention is to give it the appearance of the Black widow spider rather than that of a giant Fire Ant; in this regard the symbol on the breastplate is to be changed so that it is an Hourglass rather than an Ant. 2) Stats Modification I rather like the costume, however the costume itself is relatively weak (with only a DR to that of the lower end of armours), and even then it can't be repaired outside of paying for a repair. What I would like in this regard is several factors; the DR to be increased to that better armours, without it become powered armour; maybe something in line with the Chinese Stealth Suit (about 25 or so). Removal of the -1 Charisma, if possible and I would love for it to be able to be repaired by finding something in the waists that resemble it (such in the way of Metal Armour). 3) Model Modification This is the big one; I'd like the model to be changed. I have posted a picture below to show the sort of thing that I would want with the modified costume but to put it in text what I would really appreciate if the model could become…curvier. This is for the female model but it’s to almost represent the figure of a Black widow in comparison to an ant (ants being long and thing while Widows being stockier and broader). Generally it would be great if the model could be broadened; much thicker thighs and wider hips and rear, with some extra bulk added to the waist, arms and chest giving the wearer a much plumper look. The only other thing that I would like is the removal of the Belt. I think the costume would look a little better without a belt for several reasons; one of which is it offers a much smoother look, really helping out with the curves rather than breaking it up with a belt. The other is that the Blackwidow is a broader model, a thin belt just looks uncomfortable. While I would love all three sections of the modification, I’m unsure how much work all of this would take so I can only ask. It would be quite nice to see a mod that encompassed a broader figure rather than a slimmer one. Here is the attached picture of the preferred outcome of the suit; please forgive the rather rushed feel to it but I think it’s quite accurate to what I would like. http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff105/Jedi-and/Antagoniserrequestresized.jpg I hope someone undertakes this challenge, or part of it. Thanks for your time. Hope you all have a good day, take care!
