  1. Dont think its becouse of eating a vampire, a werewolf has a 100% resistance to disease as far as i know...i would say you contracted the vampirism while being still werewolf in 1.2 patch wich had broken resistances.

    Ah, so that explains it...

I also saw a youtube video about it too

I don't know if I should keep it or not XD

Thats up to you, but honestly neither of them is a win lol...werewolfs just looks better and has nice animations but sucks at staying longer alive..i havent tried vampire, because tes vamps are just too lame for me to even bother. :P

  2. Why are you guys dismounting your horses RIGHT NEXT to the enemies? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Get off the horse a ways down the road, run up road, kill, run back down. It's not the horses fault.

And yes, they need individual stats, they need their jump fixed, they need their prices raised based on stats, and they need mounted combat

Yeah! ...especially with wolfs and bears who outrun anything...lol even in werewolf form a farmer runs faster then me.

  3. Oh dont think i havent tried that, but its different when you have 3 deathlords shouting at you lol.

OMG i hate that. i even tried to lead them in circles but its challenging. :wallbash:

Yeah lol, they can stand with their as*es towards you and looking somewhere at a rainbow in the horizon and their shouts will still come your way. :wallbash:

aim bots  love this video and the others he has made. ^

Edit: a reason why we should love skyrim and similar games vs 1st person shooters.

Perfectly demonstrates the way draugr shouts work, except the part with aiming, they dont even have to aim

I think its fun, I keep a spare greatsword and just switch using favorites menu

it would totally suck if one of my blades flew down the side of a mountain

    or something.

Happened to me...i think it was at shriek wind bastion(not sure about the name) a deathlord jumped out of his coffin at me and shouted right away, i was standing exactly with my back towards the abyss...was just left standing there, looking at my wep flying god knows where.

  5. You know...when you hear them say the first word, you could try switching out to a magic spell really quick. Once the words are spoken and the shout goes off, switch back to your daggers.

    Crazy, right?

Oh dont think i havent tried that, but its different when you have 3 deathlords shouting at you lol.

    snip

Maybe a mod that works like detect life.

But instead it detects your disarmed weapon?? just an idea.

Yes exactly something like that would be great..cant wait for the ck :)

  6. Let me guess.. somebody stole your sweetroll?

You made an account to say that?

Thats right. I made the account over 5 years ago, and I would have posted sooner.... but I took an arrow to the knee.

Must have been a critical shot when it took so long for you to come back.

  7. Horses suck a lot this time around. They charge in fighting like a berserker, they are all the same stat wise with the possible exception of shadowmere and they all feel about as fast and bulky as the painted horses in Oblivion. Their main use is for target practice to level magic and meat.

They would need to play their game first lol...so many things that just dont give sense.

  8. I think it's funny how many people won't patch because 1% or less people have some problems (almost certainly something on their end). People with no problems aren't posting so it looks like a lot of people are having issues. Just like it looks like most people disliked Skyrim until someone puts up a poll and over 90% love it.

Yeah...but in that 1% could be you, or me...you never know

  9. I can always find my weapons on the ground... Why do you speak like they vanish forever? :/

Becouse its buggy, often happens that the weapons fall trough texture...happened to me many times and lost a pair of good daggers becouse of that.

Well, it seems as soon as the Greybeards submit you to their shouting chorus, the shouts don't affect you. I've never been disarmed once I got to that point.

Even after that its still happening to me, i guess it has to do something with the weapon skill level.

  10. Maybe if the caves/barrows/whatever didn't have such ample lighting and you actually needed torches it would be scarier. At least then you wouldn't see the draugr coming from a mile away.

Yeah, they are also predictable, since they always come in 2 ways, either from their grave or just standing there already...you pretty much know where they are plus they growling while in their graves

  11. Well not everyone is playing a sneak character...but the point of my topic wasnt actually that i dont like being disarmed, but that the shouts find you themselfs...you cant dodge them or run away from them.

I hope when the ck comes out this can be somehow fixed.

  12. I dare you to play Thief: the metal age, with all your house light turned off.

    This!

Also in thief3 the orphanage was the scariest thing i ever played...some moments were really "damn i just shi*ed myself". :ohdear:

But i do agree with the OP...even though skyrim is full of undead and other vermin, there is no scary atmosphere there.

  13. The changes to the camera is, at least to me, the biggest single WTF aspect of Skyrim. I really wish I could turn in place. The way the camera switches to vanity mode if you stop moving, is a feature I simply do not understand. It's really disorientating and doesn't seem to serve any purpose. The only reason I can come up with, for having such a feature, is the fact that the inventory screen doesn't have a "paper doll" anymore, and you need it to look what your character looks like.

And why have the camera behave differently depending on what you are doing? I think it should be over the shoulder or behind the head all the time. This default system just causes odd situations and your "alter ego" getting spatially displaced when changing camera modes.

Personally I would prefer it to be behind the head all the time, but understand that some prefer over the shoulder. But the thing I find really perplexing, is why not let players choose themselves and to customize the camera settings to their liking? The engine obviously can handle it. Why can't I have that? In fact, why not have multiple camera settings? Racing games have them, why couldn't sand box RPGs? You could have a set of customizable cameras, some tweaked for functionality, others for cinematic purposes, others set to your custom preferences, and you could switch between them at your will. That's what I'd like to see.

Oh well... At least I managed to "fix" some of these issues by tweaking my ini files, but not all. And thankfully the game doesn't have forced head bobbing. Far too many games force you to have head bob these days.

Come to think of it....didnt Todd actually said somewhere in an interview we will be able to costumize our camera...im pretty sure i saw him saying that...where is that customization?

Many things in this game dont make sense. :wallbash:

  14. Some quests really do not have enough of an overview. I tend to collect quests, and after a while the quest that says "speak with so and so" doesn't mean anything to me because I forget who it is Im doing the quest for and why Im doing it.

Luckily mods will most certainly improve upon this oversight

Yeah the quest system is really horrible...im at a point where i have no clue what im doing and just finishing quests nearest to me on map so my journal gets cleared.

I really liked the journal for Oblivion and Morrowind in that respect. Not only was it more detailed it was more of an actual journal. The "journal" in Skyrim is very mechanical and separate from my character, making it impossible to feel as though it is a log entry of his activities from day to day. I know it wasn't always this way in Oblivion, but it was with many quests. The more personal feel to the journal in Skyrim is all but gone.

In other words, the days of "I spoke with John and he is having problems with Pete and needs me to speak with him. I can find Pete in Riften, usually between 2-3 in the market square."

Now it's just, "speak with Pete". If I want to find out where I have to look at the quest marker and if I forget who I'm doing it for and why I just have to do the quest.

Yeah i really hate it, the skyrim "journal" is really just a shell of what it should have been.

Big explorable world and we are being held by hand. :wallbash:

  15. *Brings out the quill*

"The dragonborn knows of our knee- crippling scheme, and is planning a rebellion. Perhaps elbows would make better targets?"

    Long live the Thalmor :3

Time to cut the elbows too

edit:...and taking your thalmor scalp!

How can you take my scalp when you now resemble Monty Python's black knight? =]

Simple...im the dragonborn!..they can do anything right? :whistling:

I imagine you're strapped to Lydia's back now.

You just know, before you find any of us,

Lydia will step on a pressure pad, and the spiked

gate will impale you both like a kebab!

    :psyduck:

I will cut her leggs off before that happens!

Dang i should go kill something, getting fanatical with all this cutting of limbs. :pirate:

    Scalp, Remove, Defeat.

This !...the scalp shout will solve all our problems.

  18. ~Pavy

I was doing that last night actually.

I started at the College and walked along the coast line looking to see if I could find any Easter Eggs.

Sadly I didn't find anything notable, but I get what you are saying.

I do try to just pick a random spot on the map now that doesn't look like I have unlocked all the map locations and just wander.

Hehe, yes...i somehow always end up rushing trough everything....i dunno why, i always say to myself that now i play slowly, but it always ends the same way. :wallbash:

Going to try the shout on the mammoth and lol...that was a great idea
