Uhh...im playing oblivion from 2006 when i joined Nexus, i have absolutely no clue how many saves i had/have...i only know whereever i klick in my pc there is an oblvion save folder. :wallbash:

I feel a bit like you, i wasnt able to finish the game either becouse it was too much of a FO3 deja vu for me. I wasnt interested in gambling either, instead they could have spent their time on some other things.
Im not sure about the companion game, it would been nice but i have a feeling they would buged a lot of things, just like in NV,
I think the fallout series as they are now would need some new fresh developing team with good ideas that can hold to the system they made, but focusing on things that matter and add interesting features so the gameplay is worth to play and you dont feel like going trough and old sack of grass.

That would be really great..i never played a character in morrovind or oblivion that used magic, becouse i never could feel that it was actually magic.
What i mean is, magic never felt powerfull/interesting to me in tes games, you had a few spells that looked all the same, 2-3 cast animations and that was it.
Now seeing the magic in skyrim seems like they finally made it look like real magic...powerfull and dangerous. I would dare say that the destruction aoe magic animation that was shown in the skyrim vid will be used by many other schools of magic, like aoe healing in both hands...you make an explosion of healing spell (yeah im very sceptic to believe they did more unique animations and ideas).
Also the shield spells, u use both hands and maybe you get surround by a wall of stone or other elements..that would be cool...but i dont believe that either.
Meh sorry i just cant imagine they will do something like that...i hope i will be wrong though :sweat:

Well you are right in generall that most of the mods are only about those things and there are only a few who dont follow the stream and do something different, but then again noone is forcing you to install and play them...live and let live i say.
This thread is just too subjective, being concerned about that hentai mods and other similiar ones are an insult to the game seems to me like an excuse to force ones view of things upon others.
The problem is that when sexuality is involved suddenly everyone is playng the morale police about what is good and bad, even though the game has violence/killing wich ofcourse are as always fine.
No offense to anyone but this just reminds me of those obedient sheeps that were raised on the society system to respond exactly this way, becouse when the society says this and this is bad its easier to nod and point.
Nothing can insult you unless you want to be insulted to have a reason to talk about whats right and wrong...its all in ones mind.
It's not that I care those mods exist. The problem that it is all there is on the Nexus now. You are right I don't have to download them but they completely overwhelm anything else. If the Nexus was like it was years ago with a variety of content it wouldn't bother me in the slightest if someone made a dress here and a pose mod there but now its Elder Scrolls 4 Dress Up edition and the rest of us are left out to dry. People want that kind of content fine by me I am not trying to police their harddrive but what happened to the days of Deadly Reflexes, Qarls Texture Pack, Heart of the Dead, or The Lost Spires now it is taboo if you don't have HGEC and BBB in your mod title.
Yes i completely feel the same way, but we cant do nothing about it, it will be the same with skyrim becouse thats what the majority of people are interested in...im not hiding that i love anime style mods, though i feel there is lack of really original mods...or mods with interesting features...and looking upon the mods till today most of them are nearly always the same...not enough diversity...buut then again thats what makes the really original mods shine :)

so there will be directx11 in skyrim but they will not use it much as they're super scared it makes the game look better on the pc... beth, grow a pair will yah!
so havoc physics is out of the picture, what will they have instead?
so the new fast travel thingy Carriage something, is that for player only or will npcs take advantage of this aswell, or will that be something similar to the static silt striders of morrowind?
Probably something like that...though i wish i could...let me a carriage take to another city in real time...like you would choose between the fast travel option and real time..oh that would be heaven..but that probably stays a dream. :whistling:

I did find it interesting the way Todd worded the answer to "Can you ride dragons?" He said, "Not in the way you're asking." :huh:
Anyone else find that odd?
I think he maybe ment something like a finishing move...you know your character jumps on the dragons back to land the last hit.

Dont think it will be anything like that...even if it would have a bit of it, skyrim is a different cake, just when you look at graphics its miles different and therefore the feeling/experience about the game will be miles different from wow.

I played Deus Ex both 1 and 2..but it was some time ago...dont remember what the outcome of my play was sadly.
As for Deus Ex 3...i saw a few vids some dayes ago and im not impressed..i wasnt able to hold till the vid played to the end and just closed it.
The highligthing objects just somehow dont fit in there...its like they think players are stupid and cant find things out on their own :rolleyes:
Overall the game design and the atmosphere feel very "plastic", but i guess thats becouse things are highlighted.

Well from what i read about the finishing moves, you will be able to triger them when your enemy is in a weakened state...so basically if you wont use the opportunity they will not be activated..or atleast thats how i understood it it.
I thought this as well at first. I could have swore i read this somewhere, but right before I posted this I went looking for it and couldn't find it anywhere. I think something like that would be ideal, the second best option being that its random but happens so fast that it doesnt effect combat over-all, unlike in dragon age where its like, "all right all right, finish killing the ogre already!"
Yes you are right i was searching for the article aswell and couldnt find it...im pretty sure i read about it somewhere. This option would be nice...fast finishing moves are good aswell but there are times where you are near death and 1 hit is enough...i recall there was a game (cant remember wich one) that had finishing moves wich, when activated all enemies were waiting...was really unrealistic and looked funny...hope it wont turn out that way :ermm:

Dragon Age Origins: god was that boring, the story was nice and had me interested for some time..but i had enough half way through it.
RedFaction1: dont know...i just didn't care about it after some time.
Assassins Creed1: same as with RedFaction.
Hmm dont remember others...i dont know i'm in some strange state the last half year where every game i get is just boring, repetitive, bland..is this becouse im getting older D:?...only skyrim can save me now :wallbash:

I feel the same way, but sadly this game was made arround mostly guns and melee is like a little bonus to it..thats why there isnt a mod like that becouse most ppl just play it the way it was ment to be played...with guns.
The vanilla game just does not have the style when it comes to guns/melee animations, or feeling..i always felt when playing all beth games it was like going with a stick trough dry straw.
Never could connect with my character no matter how much mods i have put in...it was allways the dry straw...though i did had some fun time with them even though i feel this way.

It does not have to be companion like i said but why dont make more out of it...surely these dragons are dangerous but i hope there will be more depth to them then just cutting and slashing in the typical human behaviour.

Yes that could be possible..but this asks defenatly for more interaction between dragons and humans...or even better...i want a dragon friend to acompany me in my adventures..wich is something unlikely to happen >_<

I do really hope there are a few good ones, i really wish to see/talk maybe have a dragon **companion** that i meet in the game and have to help him out, or atleast as a part of the quest...it would be awesome, but then again from what i understood the dragonborn seems to be more of a dragonslayer, then someone who actually communicates with dragons...therefore my hopes arent very high that something like this might happen.
I want to believe that this time Beth has taken care not only in graphics but in the gameplay and interesting features...surely creation set will be availiable to mod the game but i still want to hope that there is more to it then just the typical dragon slaying and gaining powers.

You find a dragon nest with a baby left alone and you will have to take care of it...then as it starts to grow it becomes a great aset to your adventures !
Upon ventruing trough forests you find the little red nord-ing hood and save it from the sabertooth cats, she will then cook delicious mushroom soups for you that raise your stats and sometimes with other effects...mmm.

Well if it will be running good then i guess it wont matter though im still skeptic...i guess we will see when it comes out.

I feel like this too, though u did not dreamed about like you did but i immagine every day how i play Skyrim.
I might be b*tching a lot about how im worried about the Skyrims gameplay , but im already sold XD
