Wanting good quest mods for the next game
orian34 replied to Moksha8088's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Novem99, played this in my current game and I am definitely going to play that again in the next game. Will be tracking Discworld and Sword of Sigan - I am a fan of Someguy2000 from Fallout New Vegas. One thing I discovered in playing quest mods is that the most enjoyable ones, for the most part, have clear objectives and maps with arrows or enable the use of the clairvoyance spell. Well, this one is pretty fun without any kind of quest objectives/arrows...to the knee. -
Thoughts on this Illusion overhaul ?
orian34 replied to Deleted2838758User's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
You will have to maintain them for some time before the target is finaly under your spell. The time it will take will depend on the target's level, your level in Illusion and the target's agression and confidence (A very confident target for example will be easy to influence with Rally, but hard to influence with Fear)Interesting, i kinda like that!Creating illusions to Phantom animals. It has already been done in Skyre and Mighty Magick, but I thought it would be cool having the possibility of creating different types of Illusions. Actors will randomly have a phobia of an animal (that you will be able to discover with Mind Read). Summoning an animal that someone is afraid from will causes him to run (if his confidence is low), or try to fight his fears and get debuffed (if his confidence is high).Perhaps, instead of that, a spell that could spawn randomly a 'nightmare' fighting the target. It will count as a minion of the target but will fight it, downside will be that if the target kills his nightmare, would get a high boost of strength. Would only work on weak minded creatures/humanoidsMake Noise : Causes a distraction at the target area.Doesn't that already exists? With the arrows and the "Telekinesys" dragon shout. Guess that would need a more in-depths delving.Dream Feed : Cast on a sleeping target to absorb magicka from it every second and prevent it from waking up.It remembers me a certain daedric weapon...about nightmares... -
Well, that's only MY list of mods you should have, take only what you wanna pick. Must-Have : SKSE(needed to run a lot of mods) SkyUI(saves you a lot of troubles from the weird vanilla UI) Unofficial Patches(almost essential, fixes almost all vanilla bugs) : Skyrim, Dawnguard, Heartfire, Dragonborn Enhanced blood textures(really cool, and....BLOOD!) Realistic ragdolls and force(good to prevent weird death, i even heard of a mod that removes the spinning dance) Dance of Death(more killmoves and a lot of config for kill moves) Civil war overhaul(if you think the civil war sucks, you'll love that) Requiem(really good immersive overhaul) Sands of time(a really good way to spice up with the randomness card!) Live another life alternate start(really cool way to start the game without having to go trough the whole intro) Helgen Reborn(Ever wanted to rebuild this town? ) Death alternative(gives more depths to the death instead of having to reload each time you die) Legacy of the DragonBorn(My beloved mod! Can't play without it, it will fill your completionist's instincts) A lot of other mods and supported by this mod and they're good aswell, so i do not show them here(because they're in the page). Elemental dragons(a fun way to add more diversity to dragon encounters, be carefull, they are not weaklings) AND A LOT OF OTHER WONDERFULL MODS I MAY HAVE FORGOT/JUST DON'T KNOW! All these are known to be fully compatible(i play actually with all these, and more). If you have any issues, feel free to ask/pm whatever you want.

Legacy is stable(never had crashes with it), but if you want to do a full playtrough with, you should wait until the end of the beta. It has really a lot of content and a gigantic museum with almost all the relic-displays of the base game+10~ mods(included falskaar, wyrmstooth, elsweyr, helgen reborn and the gray cowl support. Soon with moon and star and some other mods), a full auto sorting/easy craft house and big quests with at least 4 custom lands. Yeah, that's quite big! Gray cowl is quite good, with a trip in hammerfell, pyramids and fun things. The only cons i found was the loot. Too much! But hey! Forgotten chaos! And salem has good quest, fun arena and very good balancing! Cons : lack of choices during quests, except for the quests, there is not much to explore and sometimes i felt i had a spoon in my mouth. But the quests worth it! -
Paid Modding .... So many conflicts of interest
orian34 replied to Deleted119721User's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Gh, sorry but i have to ask : aren't (legacy of the DB, CWO, Gray cowl of Nocturnal, Falskaar, Wyrmstooth, LAL, Moonpath to Elsweyr, Undeath, and a lot of other mods that i could've missed/forgot) really good? Are they less good because they are not done by a paid team of modders? Sorry for being rude but i do not liked at all the way you said it. I know it's dumb from me to do that, but i enjoyed so much these ones that i think they deserve better(and all the work/hours of the people behind of course) than being qualified of low-quality content. This is something i can't let go. -
Aw, that sucks, I didn't know the Brotherhood doesn't have radiant quests! Though I looked it up and found there is a repeatable quest in "Dark brotherhood forever" but I don't think it warrants this idea, since the way it is activated is very different. I do have Dawnguard and very much enjoy it, I like how you are awarded with enchanted items that you can either keep or sell for profit. But I do prefer the way Dawnguard initiates the quests - there just seems to be a bit more variety with them, and IIRC you don't really become the leader of the Dawnguard, so having to ask others for quests is very acceptable (it can get a bit repetitive, but I find it it less so than with the Companions). I suppose this request goes out specifically to the Companions, then. The way I imagine it could potentially be achieved (with my extremely limited modding knowledge) is to have a book in Jorvasskr that, when activated, initiates one of Farkas's/Aela's/Vilkas's quests. Different books would represent and activate different quests, and would be named accordingly. I know it'd be harder than I make it sound, so I don't blame anyone for not necessarily jumping on the idea, but if someone knows how I might myself go about doing this, that'd be appreciated! Well, it sounds interesting and as i will try to gaze into the abyss, it could worth a try...i don't do any promises but you inspired me :)

LE NPC reacts to your armor, stormcloak/imperial
orian34 replied to zIRaXor's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
Hopefully, it does already exist! Enjoy,, but i think you need to restart a game to use it properly. Here. -
Something similar to the mythic job board? That could work. While the guilds usually have epic main quests, some of them have almost no replayability(dark brotherhood have NO radiant quest ever). One of the best faction replayability i found was the dawnguard, but not every one can buy it and others have redundant quests...i guess that could've been exploited but it wasn't...everything isn't lost and still something can happens.
