  1. Glad it got worked out. Sometimes things go wrong for no apparent reason, then go right again for no apparent reason. Skyrim is weird.
  2. You've got some pretty heavy duty mods that make huge changes to your game play. You might just be hitting your memory limit right at the beginning. But looking at your Papyrus log, it looks like the game is having trouble with leveled lists. Maybe try disabling the leveled list portion of anything that has leveled lists as part of the mod. I do know that Moonpath_Questdata.esp needs to be cleaned, and I think Violins might need FNIS, though I'm not sure about that since I've never used that mod. But you have FNIS Spells so you probably already know abut running the FNIS generator. And your bashed patch normally should go at the very bottom of you load order. I'd say make sure you use LOOT -- which you might already be doing -- and consider ditching some of those mods that make major changes to the game world.
  3. I've had performance issues with too many re-texturing mods, mods that added trees and plants to the game world, and mods that change the lighting and/or the weather. I'm guessing the mod you're using is the culprit since it changes pretty much all the lighting in the game. If I were you I'd try loading a save you have before you added the mod and see if there's any difference in your computer's performance.
  4. I had an issue once with my game (Actually, I'm always having issues with my game!). Being a simmer in addtion to a Skyrim...er, I know the importance of deleting cache files. It's a necessary step when modding the Sims; I figured Skyrim might be the same. So I went to my C drive, clicked Users/my name/app data/local/Skyrim and deleted everything except Plugins.tes5viewsettings. The game likes to generate text files in this location whenever you open the launcher, and the files there were lisiing an old mod or two that I no longer had installed. Deleting the text files there fixed things for me. It might work for you, too.
  5. CrumbleCakeBaker, what mod manager are you using? I use Mod Organizer and saw there was an update, so I went ahead and updated it. I also updated SKSE. In the meantime, I just started a new game...AGAIN! I swear, every time I think I know what I'm doing with my mods, I run into some problem. And each time the problems just get weirder and weirder. How do game testers keep their jobs without killing anyone?
  6. Have you tried turning on Papyrus logging? Sometimes that can reveal things. Actually, I just did a quick Google search and found this: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/745339-skyrim-npcs-dont-have-names-cant-interact/ Seems there's a bug with the Dark Brotherhood where you can't talk to NPCs while wearing some sort of sneak hood/cowl. I'm not sure what that is since I haven't gotten to any of the Dark Brotherhood stuff yet (my game keeps bugging out on me; I think I have gremlins).
  7. Sorry for making a new post about this, but I am completely flummoxed. I use Mod Organizer, and up till now everything's been fine. Yesterday I went to get on my game, and it said my game was missing content. Well I've made no changes aside a little work I did on a house mod I'm working on, but in that case I added some assets to it; I deleted nothing. I turned on Papyrus logging, and it said I was missing Chesko's Wearable Lanterns. Only I wasn't missing this mod. It was installed, it was checked. It was there, yet the game said it wasn't. So, out of sheer frustration and a good deal of stupidity, I decided to re-install Mod Organizer and all my mods. I tried to get on my game tonight, and it's STILL saying I'm missing content. Soooo, I checked my Papyrus log again, and now it's saying I'm missing content I never installed in the first place!!! It also says I'm missing Chesko_WearableLantern_Guards.esp and Chesko_WearableLantern_Caravaner.esp. These are two separate esp files for the same mod, neither of which are the esp file the mod actually uses. I am so confused, and it looks like I may have to start a new game, again. I thought Skyrim was supposed to be fun.
  8. Specifically, it's Chesko's Wearable Lanterns that the game won't recognize. I don't understand why I'm having this trouble. I've been running the same mods now for weeks with no problems, then all of a sudden the game thinks the Wearable Lanterns mod is gone. I might have to start the game over again. UGGGHHH!
  9. No, but I use Mod Organizer so it wouldn't show up there anyway. My husband says when there's an update with something there can be problems, and I think Steam updated recently, right? Maybe it's because of that? I can't think of any other reason why this problem would suddenly occur.
  10. I use Mod Organizer. Today, I went to play my game, and got an error saying my save relied on content no longer available. But I haven't made any changes to my game. So I turned on Papyrus logging, and the log says my game is missing Chesko's Wearable Lanterns. I've been using this mod for a long time, and I haven't made any changes at all to my game, so why my game isn't recognizing Wearing Lanterns is perplexing. The mod is checked in Mod Organizer too. If I can't solve this problem I'll have to start a new game, which I don't want to do. Can anyone help? Thanks! Edit: I'm missing the ini files in the profiles folder too. I have no idea why or what happened.
  11. That's the one. Yet it isn't in my list of topics started. Weird. But if I couldn't find it others may not be able to see it either, which means my question will never be answered...
  12. A couple of days ago I posted a question. Today I went to see if I had any replies, only to discover that my post is gone. I used a bad word. Could that be why? Is this forum anti-bad word? The word I used begins with an H, and ends with an ell. Super bad word apparently. Well, I have one thing to say to that: Huh. Anyway, my question was on plane markers. What the h--, oh, almost said a bad word again, sorry 'bout that (grin). What are they? Plane markers, I mean, not bad words. I downloaded the Breezehome TNF Beds Plus mod, and opened it up in Creation Kit looking to add a couple of rooms. Well, what I found were these strange white sheets called plane markers intersecting each room. I don't know what these are, and I'm afraid to monkey with the mod without knowing what those markers are. And I absolutely can't find any information on this anywhere. I tried to figure this out on my own before coming here. I really did. But it seems the information about plane markers is a deep, dark secret that no one wants anyone else to know. Argh. So, can anyone fill me in? I promise, no bad words this time. Thanks!
  13. Thank you! Lots of other stuff here to check out too!
  14. I don't use NMM, I use Mod Manager instead, but I had to set up the generator to run through Mod Manager. I'm thinking your issue might be the same. It's like the game won't recognize Fores New Idles -- the mod AND the generator thing -- unless everything is run through whatever manager you're using (NMM or Mod Manager). Gopher has some videos that explains all this. I know, I know, I hate watching videos too, especially when the person spends fifteen minutes going, "Umm, I can't remember. Maybe if I...no, wait...hang on...that's not it...ummmmm" Ugh. Gopher's videos aren't like that. They are precise, concise, and very professional. He's on YouTube somewhere around here: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=gopher+fores+new+idles Sorry, I can't remember which specific video it is that explains running Fores New Idles through whatever manager you're using. Edit: I think it's this video: Like I said, it explains how to run the generator through Mod Manager, not NMM, but the basic premise is the same. Edit AGAIN! This video here is more geared toward NMM. I haven't watched it, but it might be of use:
  15. You really need to take a look at this here: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/56894/? This taught me a lot and saved my bacon.
  16. This may not help you, but I added some house models to a sort of static repository mod I'm making. It's basically a warehouse for statics that I can use along with Jaxonz Positionor (Fantastic mod!) to decorate my player houses. Anyway, like you, I wanted to scale down some house models so they can be toy houses for the kids. I added these models to the statics category. It's just a simple drag and drop. Easy peasy. Maybe you didn't add the mesh to the static category? Not moveable statics, or miscellaneous. They need to be added to statics. Hope this helps.
  17. I have Googled this question over and over. All I find is info about collision markers, but nothing about plane markers. The reason I ask is because I had this stupid idea that I would load the mod Breezehome TNF Beds Plus, and add an extra room or two. Lo and behold, plane markers everywhere! It scared me out of attempting anything until I learn more. Trouble is, like I said, I can't find anything via a Google search. Hopefully one of you good folks will answer my question. And until you do answer my question, I will hold my breath, beginning now...
  18. Ditto on the plane marker question. I opened up a couple of house mods in the CK and noticed plane markers surrounding the rooms. What is this? Can't find anything through a Google search.
  19. I'm still learning of course, but I'm thinking maybe your house isn't navmeshed properly...or maybe not at all. NPCs can't follow you otherwise. Just a thought.
  20. Got a really weird problem. I downloaded this armor from http://modtype.doorblog.jp/archives/15163125.html : http://i1219.photobucket.com/albums/dd422/merockssocks/terahumrobe.jpg As you can see, it's made for males. In fact, I've used this armor before, and I used it for my male follower. Now, when my male follower equips this armor, his body turns invisible. But when my female player character dons it, it works fine. This problem has me stumped, and I've found nothing through Google searching. Can anyone help? Thanks!
  21. Yeah. I actually gave in and downloaded that one. I've used it before, and liked it, but it's already decorated. I was hoping for something more simple, and without scripts if possible.
  22. Hi all. I'm looking for a Breezehome remodel and I'm kinda insistent in what I want. Here's what I want: *Something bigger overall, with a decent sized basement. I wouldn't mind a secret lair or two either. *Something that has removed that damn irritating fire pit that sits smack in the middle of everything. Ugh. *Better beds than the flea-ridden rickety things Lydia and the poor urchins have to sleep on. *Not overly decorated, since I like to do my own decorating and would probably delete everything right from the start anyway. *Would be nice if it supported the Hearthfire Multiple Adoption mod too, though I can live without it. *Something that won't bork my game. That's a simple list, yet seems to be more complex than I thought since I'm having a hard time finding one that meets all these specifications. I'll keep looking, but in the meantime, I'd sure love some input from you guys. Thanks!
  23. No. I mean like paintings and posters. I've done a google search for tutorials, and all I've found is this one: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/articles/407/? I have no idea if it's a good tutorial or not, since I know so little about nifskope and how making stand alone objects work. So far, I've just been replacing the images in the Buyable Paintings mod, but I'd like to learn how to make stand alone paintings.
  24. Well, if it's a medical issue, obviously none of us here are doctors, and even if we were, doctors have no time for games so you won't find any here. One thing about Skyrim is that it consists mainly of, "go to this cave and kill some bandits," followed by, "go to that cave and kill some bandits." Sounds repetitive? That's cuz it is. For me, modding is what holds my interest in the game. I like using other people's mods and creating some of my own, even though I'm not so great at the one and terrible at the other. Still, it adds variety, and it adds a challenge for me. Also, because I am an adult female (no, I'm not the little zombie girl from The Walking Dead, sorry to disappoint), I like decorating. I have, in fact, managed to turn Skyrim into the Sims thanks to other people's mods. So when I'm not running around picking fights with everyone, or cursing at Lydia because she's ALWAYS IN MY WAY, I like to decorate my player homes. Variety, that's what you need. And not just variety with the game, but variety in your life. Go outside, go swimming, learn to draw, play an instrument, read, pull weeds...whatever. Find something productive to do. Nothing wrong with work. You're bored because you're feeling unfulfilled. You're unfulfilled because you aren't productive. Go do something productive! Develop your talents!
