In response to post #28812009. 1. Back up your s#*!. 2. You're downloading and using third party software that is provided to you for free. 3. Updates are how things are improved. 4. It works fine during development, and only through an actual release are you able to find bugs that wouldn't have reared their heads during the development and beta process. 5. Go back to installing mods manually.

Hi all, I've recently started a new playthrough (I'm on my eighth character, I think) and right now I've only just attained the quest from Jarl Bulgruf to obtain the dragonstone tablet from Bleak Falls Barrow. However, characters are randomly commenting on story-based events that haven't even happened yet, like howling from the companions, 'curved swords' from hammerfell and the like. I removed my previous saves by putting them into a 7z file (so I can swap in and out at will), but I didn't expect to get this. Do I have to always do a fresh install each time I do a new playthrough or is there a fix for this issue? Thanks in advance!

Hi all, While I was on my way home this afternoon, I was flicking through some mods to unequip the helmet in a certain area such as cities etc. One thing I'm looming for in these mods is the ability to start an animation to equip and remove the mod. For example, character goes into a town with the helmet equipped or is in the presence of the Jarl with their helmet equipped. This would be seen as a sign of disrespect under certain circumstances and so the character removes the helmet. Perhaps a mod that when a hotkey is pressed, the helmet animation equips and unequips the helmet. Would be good for roleplaying etc. I don't know how this will work for hoods, as hoods are typically flick back where a helmet is raising arms, lifting the helmet off (where the helmet would unequip and switch to an item like position) as the player moves the helmet down to their torso. Whatchya think?

Just out of curiosity, have you added a player-npc relationship between the NPCs not talking to you and the player? You need to set them to ally as a minimum or they won't say anything to you.

Hi Nexus, I've been trying to add a part to my mod update where an NPC is taken by the Thalmor, and shacked in their Embassy til he dies. Now I'm having trouble getting the shackles and the NPC to work together. I've looked at previous examples like the Dark Brotherhood sanctuary, and yet I'm not having any luck with them working together after following the example. Does anyone know what I need to do from start to finish to get this to work?

I know there are a few mods out there that allow followers to have their own horses, but what if there was a mod that allowed followers to mount up behind you on the same horse? Y'know, like those old movies where they'd wrap their arms around the rider's waist and hold on tight. This sort of mod would be good for immersion I think, especially with your wife/husband follower.

Hey everyone, For a while now, I have noticed a rather unusual shading/texture issue that shows itself near various flame based light sources (such as torches and open campfires, but mostly torches). The issue is basically a line that seems to divide where the shadows are and where the light shines on the body. At first I believed it to be related only to Caliente's CBBE mod, however I disabled that and the issue remained. By now you're probably sick to death of reading posts relating to marriage issues with Lydia, and I'm not talking the kind that require counselling. The ability (or option, should I say) to marry/propose to Lydia is currently bugged. Does anyone have any more information on this? Like, specifically why it is bugged or what is causing it? Does anyone know when Bethesda might release a software patch for Skyrim? I mean, it's not life or death important, but it is slightly annoying.

Hi Guys, I am having a bit of a problem in re-opening my .esm files in G.E.C.K. now, following a small modification I made to alter Cass' hair, I can no longer view the files I was working on. Here is basically what I did to create the mod: 1. File > Data - Selected "FalloutNV.esm" and "MikotoBeauty.esm" - Clicked OK 2. Selected the "Object Window" pane, and filtered using the term "Cass" and selected "RoseofCass" (or whatever the NPC data for Cass is) 3. Selected inventory, and modified Cass' Hat and Cass' Clothes to be "Playable" 4. Selected Head Parts, and chose a new hairstyle for Cass (I chose Alita) 5. Selected File > Save - Gave my mod a name. 6. Loaded FNV and tested it (it worked). 7. Came back, and now I've got the red boxes with black crosses. Anyone tell me whats going on? Many thanks.
