UPDsATE: I was able to get this fixed at the lodge. Where apparently the bug started in the first place. So, After speaking to Sarah, my char froze as I expected him too. But this time I started randomly pressing buttons. I got to a combo where an overlay popped up. It let me record, take pics etc. The overlay is transparent. About a minute into this, I saw dialog thru the transparent overlay. This is the 1st time in a month that I've seen anything coming from Sarah. I was able to make choices and work thru it. I had A LOT of dialog with her built up since I completed 30+% of the game without companions etc. I then went to my ship. spoke with everyone there. They also (especially Barrett) had a ton to say. Sooo. I was able to complete #1 and #3. #2, Khan was still broke. I could not speak to him at all. Even after dismissing my companions etc. I figured that was fine since I heard the game restarts anyways. I haven't been this excited since I lost my virginity. So now I'm on new game+. I'm only going to do it once as reviewers have written that the reward really isn't work the time, going to 2+ to 10+. But I'll play the entire game again. Building my ship etc. I really appreciate everyone helping out. You guys ROCK!! Truly. It won't be forgotten !!

Thanks for that info, Here's lies my problem. I haven't been able to take on a companion since my #1 above. The Sarah bug. Everyone I speak to says "we'll talk after you speak with Sarah". And I can't do that or I get the Sarah stare of death. At this point I'm about 240 hours into the game. I've done almost everything (except mining) and those 3 missions above. I wish I was able to move forward with the game but I'm literally at a stand still. I was thinking of just starting over since I really know most of the game and missions. But honestly, I'm pretty burnt out at this point. I know they are coming out with some patch next week. I'll wait for that before I decide on my next step. Most likely I'll just be done with the game overall. Appreciate the help though.

No luck. tried several times. Tried sitting and sleeping. for 1 to 6 hours. Nothing worked. But I will try it on my other 2 issues.

Yes, 100% up to date. Yes, 100% verified integrity of the files. Yes, PC and Steam. I only started using mods. Currently I have the new "Community patch/mod" and the "Naked guard and other NPC fixes". Lay it on me HeyYou. I'll try anything at this point. Thanks for replying!!!

Hi All, I'm new to your community as I was "hoping" a MOD would fix my issues. So far nothing has and dealing with Bethesda's Support is like telling a 5 year old to go play in the street. They just look at you and are like ummmm. I will pass your request along to the next tier. Oh, and BTW. You'll never hear from that tier. Cause there really isn't a next tier. Oppps, I wasn't supposed to tell you that. That's OK, your the Ahole that bought the $300 version of the game for the watch to no longer connect via bluetooth after the patch we released on day 2. Anyways..(sorry just had to get that out of my system). The funny thing is, I am enjoying the game. And believe it or not I have a lot of patience. I'm a manager of a support team for a very large company. And Bethesda does everything possibly wrong with their support staff. I would know..OK on to my 3 MAJOR game halting issues. FYI, I can reproduce these 100% of the time. #1) The Sarah Bug. Staring off into the distance like there's not a thought in her head, I'm at the end of the quest line for In Memorium. And every single time I attempt to speak to Sarah, I get the same stare. I then can't move an inch, Can't access a single thing. I'm essentially frozen. I can access the console, which I've tried 100 codes. And I can CTRL > ALT > DEL which brings me to the sign off screen, then if I hit ESC I will go back to where I was, just standing there, Also, another great thing is that I can't have a companion go with me ANYWHERE. They all say "I think you have exsisting business you need to deal with Sarah, and then we can talk" So I can't do anything with them. #2) The Elevator Bug. Again, I'm at the end of the MAIN quest line. I'm in the big facility. Killed a bunch of Starborns. Wishing they were unborn now..Bad Joke. NM. And I finally make it to where I have to take an elevator unground. All is working wonderfully right? NOPE. I step on the elevator, click the switch to activate it and then my screen starts to do a weird blinking. Like it's attempting to load. Blinks to a dark screen for a long while. All the time it's doing that, and almost immediately after clicking the switch, who voice do I hear? SARAH's !! I'm like, WTH. She wasn't with me the entire time and now I have her voice in my head. Now, this time things are a bit different. I can push buttons, and I hear sounds like i'm doing something. Like taking out weapons or accessing screens. But no matter what I press I still see nothing and I'm not performing any acts. Now, there are times when I can press ESC or wait for a while and I will appear. Still standing on the elevator, which looks like it went down. But I can't move. Sarah is next to me. Standing just out of range so I can't punch her in her face. Ok, wooooshaaaa. So I can't press "E" to speak to her, not that it would matter because then #1 bug would appear. NO console command helps. Even to the point where I turned clipping off, reloaded and then tried again. Still same effect. Also, this time I can press "F" and take out the lazer drill. But I can't use it. I can take it out and put it back in. (That's what she said). Trust me when I say I've tried 100 different things, 100 different ways. #3) I just found this one recently as I just came across the quest. I forget the quest line name but it's unforgettable if I tell you about it you'll know what I talking about. It's the one where the robots take over a communiity of people that have been on the planet for a very long time. Everyone is a clone, And there are some that are clones of world leaders..The President, Kahn, Amelia Earhart and a number of other Aholes. Well, once again, I'm at the end of the quest line. I take the side of Khan, cause I liked him (don't judge). We fight off Queen Aphrodite and we win, right? WRONG! So one of the last steps is go find Khan, cause he ran out side of the complex for some stupid reason. And I need to have 1 last conversation with him..I'm guessing. Well, I walk up to him and press "E" to speak to him and ... Nothing happens. He just stares at me. I do it again, then another 100 times. Nothing. Even if I were to bind the function to another key. Nothing! I don't freeze like the other isses. I just can't speak to him. I can speak to every other damn person though. I tested this. But the story won't continue until I speak to KHANNNNNN!! (sorry had to do it). OK. We'll getting this out helped a bit, I guess. And I'm sure you are like, "You should really submit bug requests". Well, I did. I thought they should at least know how incredibly buggy the game is. Hoping they will fix it so I don't have to start completely over. Which may be something I will have to do. Until then, I'll continue to explore, Build outposts to get semi-good at that and try to steal ships. Thanks for listening everyone. Hope your instance is working better than mine.
