I guess the confusing part was when I installed something on NMM it asked you to overwrite files. In Vortex, it never asked, nor did it ever give me a conflict notice. Since it is dealing with textures, I didn't know if Mod B was just sitting there unused, even though it was installed and enabled. Since I am new to Vortex, and will likely have something like this pop up in the future, just wanted to make sure I understood that placing Mod B after Mod A caused the files to be overwritten. Thank you for the help and clearing up the confusion.

I'm having a hard time understanding dependencies. So let's say Mod A is an Armour mod with unp - main file. But you don't use Unp. You use cbbe. Luckily for you, the mod has a cbbe option - Mod B - you are supposed to overwrite Mod A with Mod B. I have Mod A loading before Mod B, but I don't think this is an overwrite. There is also the option in dependencies where you can say that Mod B requires Mod A. Or does Mod A require Mod B? Or, does it have to do with install order? So confusing. Can anyone offer some wisdom on this issue? Thank you.

Just updated NMM and was instructed to uninstall and reinstall (which I don't recall it ever asking me to do that before), mods still work in game and show under plugins tab but not category tab - everything is zeroed out. Do I need to change a directory under settings? If so which one? Thanks in advance.

Downloaded the new version of NMM - mods show in plugin tab but not category tab. All mods are still working in game. What directory in settings do I need to change? Or is that not the problem? Thanks in advance.

The texture pack has everything but the femalehands_1_sk.dds file. That is probably what is causing it? Thanks for your reply

I've been searching google for a couple of hours and have seen a lot of posts on the neck/body texture mismatch. I have not had this problem and know how to fix it using the ck. What about the body/hand texture mismatch? Is there a way to remedy this? Thanks in advance.

This Started when i got dawnguard i was in 3rd person then i pressed F To get back into 1st person,after a second it change back to 3rd person view.every time i press F Or zoom in to 1st person i immideatly get force back to 3rd person WTH is this bug\glitch????
I had the same problem, once I disabled Dawguard it went back to working normally. Hopefully you've completed the Dawnguard quest and can disable it. If you find a fix let us know.

So I have a weird glitch in Skyrim PC. After searching the internet I cannot find a solution. This glitch occured way after I finished the companions quest, so the werewolf fix is out. If I scroll my mouse wheel or hit F, it will temporarily go back to 1st person, but as as soon as I move, it goes back to 3rd person. Any suggestions?
Edit: To answer my own question , it appears it is a dawguard glitch. Imagine that. Once I disabled Dawnguard it worked fine. Since I completed the Dawnguard quest and as many problems as I had with it, I think I'll just leave it disabled.

I have yet to complete one quest without the help of console commands. I should have waited until this thing is on the $5 discount download rack. I love Skyrim, hate this DLC.

Same issue, any file I try to download says file does not exist. I think they have had some problems since Dawnguard was released, I'm sure they will fix it soon.
Not working for me either.
edit: More specifically, I'm getting "File does not exist" for every file try to download.

So I haven't played Skyrim in a week, so when I get on to play today, I have to update mod manager - skse - and steam apparently updated skyrim with a new patch. When I start to play, all my bow damage has gone up to 70-90, when it was previously 20-30. Any suggestions?

All of my esm and esp files show up in the load order list when I start FOMM, but when I click the package manager, it is blank where it should list all of my mods, any ideas on what happened or how to fix it? My game still works fine, but no list in the package manager.

I have seen this question before, but I can not find it so I'll ask again. When I equip armor to a companion or NPC, the left arm is blank where the pip boy should be. I have tried several armors on several NPC's and it is always the same. Is there something I can edit or change to solve this problem? Thanks in advance.

I know you can add items to a player using the player.additem command, is there anyway you can use this command on an NPC? I have tried a few different ways by clicking the NPC and typing additem hexcode, but nothing happens. I have an NPC that is missing the pipboy texture, so any armor he wears, he is always missing the mesh/texture where the pipboy should be, was just going to try to give him a pipboy and be done with it. Thanks in advance for the help.

I'm on the same page now, so your help was perfect and much appreciated. I've used mods for years, but that by no means makes me an expert or even a novice when it comes to how they work with each other. These forums and people like yourself who are willing to help have saved a lot of headaches or answered a lot of my uninformed questions through the years.
