  1. I reported directed to moderators via PM - the issue is with the members (not the images) and spread across multiple images, so easier to PM. Will contact Linspuppy now. Edit: Nvm, Lins. Received their message(s) - thanks for swiftly looking into! Thanks, -m
  2. Greetings, I’ve seen two separate instances of what I believe were pretty obvious sock puppets within a year. To whom or through what channel should I be reporting these instances? If any Moderator is interested in taking this up, please PM me. Thanks, -m
  3. Same - just tried it and can do almost everything: change setting/edit description, etc. Still can't sticky my own comments. It says "you must be the author or a moderator to sticky a comment". But I'm pretty pleased with the other fixes! Thanks guys! -m
  4. I agree, but it's kinda funny how a thread about snide remarks/general snarkiness has elicited the same type of passive-aggressive comments about trolls themselves. Said trolls could be genuinely, quantitatively mentally ill for we know. Take the high road, fellas
  5. Thanks for the reply, Thandal. I've submitted a ticket via the "Contact Us" link. Not expecting an immediate fix, but do you have a ballpark on support department turn-around time? Are they a dedicated team that addresses member-specific tech issues, or are they the same team that deals with larger projects/site problems? Knowing who/which team handles this will at least let me know what to expect in terms of resolution time. Thanks again, -m
  6. Greetings, I'm unable to edit my Supporter Image section uploads. I've tried logging in/out and changing/saving my Site Preferences to no avail. Every time I try to edit a Supporter Image, it doesn't take. This problem applies to ALL of my Supporter Images. Things I can't do: Change the image titleChange the image descriptionChange the image Category (e.g., Aesthetics, Combat, Hidden) or any other settings (Adult Y/N)Sticky my own comments Things I can do: Upload an imageDelete an image Here's a link to one of my Supporter Images if it helps: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/SupporterImages/3550/ This has been going on for at least a few weeks. Any ideas? ETA: I do not have any of these problems with my general image share uploads, only Supporter. Many thanks, -m
  7. I made a few sample-based arrangements back in the day, and prefer the 'crunchy' and dynamic sounds of old breakbeats (DJ Shadow fan here). Understand that's a different genre, but I still like all kinds of instrumental beats. That said, I dig the originality of Bangin' Beat - rather, the fact that it was built from scratch without samples. Has a menacing keyboard overlay too. If you're looking for constructive criticism, my suggestion would be to take the underlying beat through more changes, like add a more minimal bridge at some point. I'm talking about just the drum beat, not the melody and other instruments. I would say make it sound less 'polished' from a fidelity standpoint, but then we're talking about a different beat altogether :) Take my input with a grain of salt: the last audio software I touched was Reason back in 2002 ;D
  8. This is a great primer -- really it goes a little beyond that. The 'sucsm' is essential. That said, I'd like to add that the most important thing is looking into your mind's eye for inspiration and composition. Remember: creativity comes from both ends ;)
  9. Wonderful - that's all I needed to hear, Dark0ne! Thanks for the fast reply. -mv
  10. Greetings, I can't find any news about a recent change to file endorser lists. I just need some clarification... The endorsers list used to read something like: "The following members endorsed this file" Recently, I noticed it reads: "The following members are the last ones to have endorsed this file" The language is pretty clear, but what timeframe and/or number of endorsers constitutes "last"? I.e., what's the max limit of endorsers shown in that window? Furthermore, do mod authors have the ability to access the full list of their endorsers? I ask because my name is not appearing in the 'endorser list' of dozens (possibly hundreds) of mods that I endorsed long ago. According to both my history list and the presence of the orange "UNENDORSE" button, I've endorsed these mods. I want to be sure my endorsements have "stuck" to all these mods without toggling the endorse button back and forth to be sure. Many thanks, -mv
  11. Understood, Dark0ne. Appreciate the update and for letting us know that it's still on your radar.
  12. Greetings - this has been happening to me as well. Figured I just needed a clean browser install until I read the post above and tried it on other machines. I can't access the main skyrim page (www.nexusmods.com/skyrim) unless I'm logged out. If I'm logged in, the main page just hangs and never loads. Furthermore, I can only log in through a page 'deeper' in the site (usually I select some random page from my history). Once logged in, every other skyrim subpage page loads, as do the main pages for 17 other nexusmods.com/ game sites, just not nexusmods.com/skyrim. I've replicated this on three machines, Windows, OS X, and Chrome, FF, Safari. I do not have NMM installed on any of the machines. This has been going on for about 3 weeks. Any ideas? Many thanks!
  13. Basically, if you take any user's profile address and add the following string to the url, you can view activity: ?tb=feed&pUp=1 My profile has activity set to hidden: http://www.nexusmods.com But add the line above and my activity is viewable: http://www.nexusmods.com This works with any user. Thanks, -m [EDIT: seems fixed as of March 2014. Removing the provided example links to my profile.]
  14. Maybe this has been addressed, but a cursory forum search shows this hasn't been mentioned before: The option to 'hide' activity from one's profile only hides it superficially. There are simple and nearly accidental methods that show all activity for any given user. Any plans to fix this? Staff: PM me if you need an example/further info. Otherwise, it renders the 'hide activity on my profile page' utterly useless. Please advise, and many thanks in advance for any corrective measures. -m
  15. Do you have the wireless apple keyboard with the function [fn] key in the far bottom left? If so, have you tried function + tilde? ETA: did you enable the console in the ini file? Edit the file 'Skyrim.ini' and set the value to 1 on 'bAllowConsole'. The Skyrim.ini file is in My Documents -> My Games folder -> Skyrim.ini. Look under the [General] section of the ini file and search for bAllowConsole. Make sure it reads: bAllowConsole=1If bAllowConsole doesn't exist, then add the line above under the [GENERAL] section.
