  1. Video games can be addictive, especially with a strong sense of progression or social interaction. I used to spend too much time on MMOs, constantly grinding for that next upgrade or trying to keep up with friends in guilds. Looking back, I wasn't even enjoying it half the time. It just became a habit. Once I started focusing on other hobbies, the pull of those games faded a lot. These days, I mainly play shooters like CS2, but I keep it more casual. I still trade skins occasionally because it's a fun way to upgrade my inventory. SkinsMonkey has been great since it's quick and secure for trading.
  2. I’ve had better luck sticking with developers I already enjoy or checking reviews from smaller YouTubers who go in-depth with gameplay rather than just hyping things up. That’s how I found a few surprisingly good indie RTS and card games that didn’t get much visibility otherwise.
