  1. So couple questions that tie together. 1. The "collections" section is only for vortex mods right? 2. If it is, do people post collections for using the BG3 Mod Manager? 3. Do people normally use BG3 Mod Manager or Vortex? Figured it was best to ask in number format rather than a rambling paragraph
  2. Did I just misread it or was there not a timeframe mentioned in the recent community update regarding mod tools becoming available? if i'm being honest, i'm thinking of stepping away from the game for a few weeks while people make awesome mods with the tool.
  3. I see a few mods have begun being unhidden. What's made them change their mind?
  4. What discord is this? might just be me but I'm having a hard time finding any discord regarding BG3 modding specifically. Honestly that moderator isn't wrong and not even wrong for being cold. Dude was tripping because they put too much pressure on their shoulder trying to blame the community when it was them who got it in their own head they had some form of duty. Honestly, I think it's an obvious thing that going onto a mod authors mod and being an asshole about the mod being updated is stupid and those people can f themselves and technically, yes, they do have a right to hide their mods. The problem boils down to them hiding the mod then trying to push this ridiculous narrative of "caring for the community" while also hurting us. It's the two-faced actions that's causing so many people to get upset.
  5. Anyone know if this means they're bringing the mods back? Don't know anywhere else to check for these types of updates other than mod descriptions, forums on the nexus, and reddit
  6. A jackass with sweet words is still a jackass
  7. it was read. Larian has come out multiple times making strides to get mod support ready, but it takes time. Mod Authors are the ones being divas. Look at Skyrim and other games like it. Mod support was nonexistent for ages, but they are being impatient.
  8. How are mod users being entitled? The Mod Authors are the ones making horrible decisions that are affecting the modding community. Mod users are the ones being hurt by all this crap
  9. Ah yes. So instead of hiding or not hiding their mod, let's just change where it's at to piss people off more so that they "draw more eyes on the open letter". Totally going to make us care about the stupid letter. LITERALLY NO ONE IS LOOKING AT THAT DUMB LETTER. Everyone is getting mad at the mod authors, and They don't seem to give af at all. Update
  10. Agreed. It's funny watching people agree with the mod authors and try to justify their actions but there is no good way of justifying what they are doing. Sure, Larian could do better on the communication, but they are actively working on their masterpiece of a game by sending hot fixes and doing something that barely any other company has done before. They are actively reaching out to everyone and listening to what they want (mod support) on top of fixing issues with their game. These mod authors that are hiding their mods are severely overestimating their "power" to get Larian to listen to their tantrum and the only way they could make waves was by hurting the community instead of helping it and playing it off as "helping". Disgraceful.
  11. oh yea there is definitely people out there who give the modders too much crap and I hate those types of people. That said, I do think the mod authors made a bad move just hiding the mods outright. Its like destroying the whole nest for there being a couple of bad eggs.
  12. I might have misread your post so correct me if i'm wrong please. But if you're really defending the mod makers/authors for hiding the mods and saying the community is just complaining over nothing then can you explain better? It's not like we are complaining for no reason.
  13. Flaw with that plan is that most players know that when it comes to modding, you never go to the game devs or anything because its not their responsibility to fix anything if you've "tampered" with their product (the game). Larian makes note of this in every single patch note they release. If the mod authors really expected us to "get behind them" then they are dead wrong. I will hope they didn't plan what you're predicting.
