Some of both... what really confuses me is the 'source'?

Thank you! There are so many 'small' necessities that the casual modder needs to look for and I'm really a 'Newbie'.

I'm a modding newbe and am getting confused by some of the requirements for certain mods. Going through the list and then installing required mods which will then enable the mod I want to work. When I do load a mod into Vortex from the Nexus page(s) I get a yellow triangle saying "this mod has no source assigned. The source tells Vortex where the mod came from"... etc. I could also use a bit of help with the required mods for many of the mods I want.

1) I'm getting a FNIS issues I can't correct. 1st: a warning that is a conflict with 'external' modding regarding a version from Steam I failed to load. I don't use Steam. I use the version of Skyrim from GOG and not Steam. Whenever I add a Mod, the Dependancies lightning bolt (green) says it conflicts with FNIS Data version: 1.0.0 and wants me to change the deploy order--but that results in a loop. 2) Versions FNIS Behavior 7.6 Skyrim SE version: 1.6.1179.0 from GOG Vortex version: 1.13.7 1/21/25 3) I've included the list of Mods as a file image. 4) Whenever I tried to back track and disable a mod, I get the message that FNIS was created outside of Vortex and need to SAVE, REVERT or whatever. 5) I've done a clean install on both Skyrim AE/SE and Vortex, reinstalled some of the Mods, checked their deployment--then I get the previous message (#4). I really was trying to be thorough and precise...but...
