LMFAO Having played this game for years and never had to hold down my E key to get off my horse I was a little sceptical about this but it worked so cheers mate. I even have a wittle circle in the middle of my screen to show me it's working, aw bwess.

As gaming issues go this one is just ridiculous. For a decade or so I've been able to get on and off my horse but today, au contraire Blackadder! I own a few horses so I tried them all just to see and I can get on the damned things but dismount it seems has upped and disappeared like a mouse fart in the night. I've had a look around and apparently this is an old issue but the only answers the poor sods who reported it got were go stand in the open or it's the same button as to get on etc. Fine if you came to the game yesterday but about as much use to me as a bike is to a fish. Any suggestions gratefully received guys.

Neck Shackle (Collar) - Oblivion-Style - Already Made? - Where?
Inthesaaand replied to 9raxus's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
There's a wearable Death Hound Collar mod. There's also a collar available from the Mrissi mod iirc. -

Ingredients For Hearthfire Cook/Chef
Inthesaaand replied to DirebearCoat's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
Not a bad idea this. Within the game as it stands there is this notion that 'life goes on', so to speak while you're away being you. The household maintains itself, your people are fed, clothed, housed and cared for under your responsibility without you being responsible for it, the game does it all on your behalf. Implement something like this and those responsiblities become a part of your life, it is your house after all. Furthermore you could introduce consequence, if the cupboard is bare the wife, kids and staff go without. The house falls into disrepair, people get ill, maybe even starve. I suspect a tie in of some sort with survival might allow for that. Maybe the wife starts to look elsewhere and plots your demise, plenty of assassins and bandits in Skyrim. Perhaps they themselves turn to crime, imagine picking up a bounty for a new group of bandits that turns out to be your own kin. Yes, a lot of running room here I think. Not a bad idea at all. -
Same for me. As to the rest well slap me thrice and hand me to my mama, I had no idea what I was getting into! I only started modding my Skyrim about a year ago and I've not had any of these issues. I have a fairly modist, if you'll pardon the pun, collection thus far, maybe five or six hundred I guess. Those mods range from brand new to damned near a decade old, they come from here and, ahem, those other places. It's a right old mix and the occasional bowl of mod cycle spaghetti not withstanding has caused me no problems. The potential here is truly terrifying, I'm stopping it all right now. Once I've buried my rig in the garden I'm off to start stocking the bunker before the flat Nirners turn up on my porch. Wow, who knew eh?

In the highly unlikely event that scorrp10' clever little mod doesn't work mid playthrough there is another way. After reading that post and having previously mentioned Proteus here it got me to thinking, turns out you can in fact use it to the same ends. Collect Mjoll as a follower and change her voice to one of those listed by scorrp10, go to your chosen homestead and make her steward then change voice back to Female Nord. As with scorrp10' mod the steward dialogue will be silent but all else will be Mjoll.

Aye, the glitchiest and most unstable of the Creation Club homes. It's no wonder to me why it has the least amount of mods editing it... While I don't have any glitchy crap going on within the old homestead itself this might go some way to explaning why there's a full on dragon attack going on inside Frostroot cave every time I go there.

In light of this information, is it impossible for a mod to be made that could make her into a steward (and get Aerin move to Cyrodiil)? Well there's no mod author over here, a lowly end user is all you'll find in these shoes. That said I'd say impossible seems unlikely given the astonishing things that can be done. Whether or not someone would is a more likely question I think. Incidently I had a look around to see if I could find anything to corroborate my dusty old memories. Heaps of people saying she can be steward, heaps more complaining they can't get it done and this https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Followers . Only thing I could find that states she cannot be steward.

You think the prejudice against Dunmer is bad?
Inthesaaand replied to BlazeStryker's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
[(exact date on the letter got shot out with an arrow, some careless courier too curious for his own good was sitting and reading the letter on his knee near a bandit camp that has since been dealt with, luckily he retrieved the letter by pulling it through the arrow's shaft before it got too bloody from his wound)] Heavens to Murgatroyd! Exit, stage left! Even. -
I seem to remember asking this question myself years ago and iirc it turns out that Mjoll cannot in fact be a steward, she was never meant to be able to be one. The confusion here is that the dialogue is present when it shouldn't be, I think. Honestly I'm not 100% on this because I'm dragging up old memories here but this seems to play right in my noggin. Not exactly what you were looking for I know but it might help with why. BTW there is, sort of, a way you could have her, or an approximation of her at least. If you're familiar with Proteus read no further, if you're not you can use it copy her likeness to yourself, be sure to save your own likeness first of course. Now save your new (Mjoll) likeness and then re apply your own. The saved Mjoll likeness can now be applied to any NPC you choose, including those who can be steward. Proteus will also let you choose voice types. Might not be nailed on Mjoll but... I got nothing for Aerin really except what scorrp10 said. Oh and kill in console obviously, if you're into that.

Make it so number 1!

This is a good idea, I wonder if it might be possible for the clever folk to update existing season or 'springify' mods so that they only work up to a certain elevation? Would adaption of existing mods be any less of a programming challenge than a new mod to cover this? I haven't the first clue but I'd be genuinely surprised if either couldn't be done.

Mod Idea - Sea Monsters
Inthesaaand replied to PsychoDraugrResurrected's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
The whole underwater thing seems to me like one huge missed opportunity, I'd love to see a few creators weave some magic down there. Literally an entire new world of posibilities. As to sea monsters Skinwalker21 sort of went there a few years ago with a plesiosaur and a meg, ok so not really kraken like but it's something I guess. -
I've been wondering about this since I don't know when but never bothered to ask, it was never a issue before but I'm now considering making her a follower so I'm hoping. Is there a way to get her to speak up? I made a search but all I got, no matter how I worded it, was reference to the age old wander off without opening the gate malarkey. Couldn't find a mod for it either, although to be fair I only looked here. Edit: So nevermind, I went ahead and made her follower and she's found her voice, or a least partially anyway. Still doesn't seem as clear as it ought to be but it is more coherent.

Puzzling indeed, logic would surely dictate not getting infected. If, and it's big if, that was in fact the cause of this bizarre circumstance I'd have to think it was because it's a story scripted infection. Whatever the cause I am no longer vampire or werewolf and have put the whole noodle baking episode firmly in the rear view mirror. Thanks again for the suggestions and the support.
-
Thanks for getting back you guys. Roling back to pre vamp wasn't on the option list for me as it was a little too far for my liking. Pre werewolf however was much less drama, I then used the console to get the job done and downed a potion straight after, which I do always carry btw, to seal the deal. Fixed. Levelers Tower, good to know. Hawk feathers LMAO, crazy how you can give a game a decade and more and still miss a little detail like that. Every day's a school day indeed. I use multiple rings and necklaces and it's highly likely I was wearing the necklace of disease immunity when she turned me, I don't know that that could or would have caused this issue but I can certainly recognise the potential there. Thanks again.

SO playing through DG I became vampire to enter the soul cairn just as any time before. DG is now complete and I've been a Vampire for 53 game days yet no member of the DG recognise this and so will not send me to Falion, same with the Innkeepers. Going to Falion directly is of no use and neither are potions given the amount of time that's past. Incidently I don't progress, visually speaking, at all. Went to do the Companions thing today so as to get Lycanthropy and cure the Vampirism, apparently that's a thing. Au Contraire Blackadder! I am now both Vampire and Werewolf and wish to be neither, I'm putting the game away for today and going to the pub instead. In the mean time if any of you has any suggestions I'd be much obliged. ADDITIONAL. As if that wasn't bad enough I've since found I couldn't change back from a werewolf. Blessing in disguise though, went off to find solution and stumbled over console command for cure vampirism. Sorted.

Yes I probably should have offered this already shouldn't I. Turns out it wasn't a game issue, over zelous anti-mal removed something which it considered to be a PUP, I put it back and it was all blue skies and rainbows, mostly. Since the reinstatement it all works as it should but bizarrely ignores saves made before the event, given I'm not likely to use them but still have access should the need arise through 'show all saves' I've brought the economy down off of a war footing and moved on. I'm sorry I can't give more detail, I don't recall what exactly it was that was removed and putting it back was a shot in the dark borne out of hope rather than knowledge, the timing of the removal and the occurrence in game coincided so I gave it a shot and I got lucky. As for xkcd #979. Familiar with this, I am. Laugh too loud, I should not.

Can't find it, maybe it doesn't exist...yet.
Inthesaaand replied to Inthesaaand's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Wow that was quick, should've asked a week ago and saved myself the pain. Thanks so much for getting back, I'll take a look. -
Hi all, I've been looking around for a mod that provides the facility to change amour colour. Paint it, dye it, whatever but I'm not finding it. There's few retouches out there for certain sets of armour but I was looking for something more across the board. IDK maybe the option to choose colour when smithing or something. Is there such a thing?

Thanks for asking. Noddle's good, normall service resumed.

Nevermind I figured it out. Mod you can remove this if you wish

First time asking here and not sure if this is the place to ask so don't shoot me if it isn't please. Skyrim SE, as of today in game ( in play ) only the latest 3 saves are listed. Whether they be auto, quick, or manual they drop off of the bottom of the list and are gone. I'm days into a new playthrough and yet manual save made today was listed as save 1, after 3 autosaves it drops out of the list so I make another manual save and it's save 1 again. All saves made today and all previous saves are listed in Vortex and they are all present in Documents My Games yet this in game issue persists and I have to say it's baking my noodle a bit. Also on the loading screen if I select Show all Saves they're all there. Any and all help appreciated. TIA
