I decided to play the game following the remastered version's release, both that one and the original. After completing the game, I wanted to share my thoughts on Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (the original, as I have not yet started the remastered version). Keep in mind that this is my opinion. Pros. The game isn't nearly as buggy and glitchy as Skyrim. At least, not that I noticed. The factions are more enjoyable than Skyrim. Where the Companions questline was a convoluted snooze-fest, the Fighters Guild was fun and kept my interest. The Arena was a lot of fun. There seems to be more to explore than Skyrim. Even though Oblivion is ~5 years older than Skyrim, the game's environment feels more scenic, which I'm a sucker for. The game's mechanics were a pain to learn, but easy to understand once I got the hang of them. The main story was great. The game isn't filled to the brim with nonsense. As in, no civil war mixed with a dragon crisis and racial tensions between Nords and everything else and its mother as a High Elf extremist regime threatens everyone. I swear, I felt like Sheogorath was having a field day in my mind with that malarkey. Sean Bean and Sir Patrick Stewart were in it! They voiced Martin and Uriel Septim, respectively. Cons. Lockpicking is a pain in the butt. Speechcraft mechanics are fraggin' stupid. The whole persuasion minigame feels like it's pure luck. If you become over-encumbered (which happens easily, as 1 sword could take up over 1/3 of your carry weight), you can't move at all. Joining the Mages Guild was stupidly tedious. The characters' faces are nightmare fuel. Overall, I give the game an 8/10. It was a lot of fun, and I see myself playing it again. I will also say that I enjoyed it more than Skyrim. Yeah. I said it. Oblivion, I can enjoy without mods. Skyrim, on the other hand, I hate playing without mods. I need at least 100 bug patches just to make the thing playable.

This person's name was pretty spot on. They are, in fact, a failure.

Of these 4 Elder Scrolls protagonists, who would win in an all-out fight to the death? To make this easier, I'm putting down a few rules. - All characters are their default races. So, Nerevarine is a Dunmer, HoK is an Imperial, and LDB is a Nord. However, as the Vestige doesn't have a default race (none that I could find), I'm making them a Breton. Why? For some variety. Gender is irrelevant. Use your imagination for that one. - All characters have max stats and their best gear. However, to make this fair, all optional stuff is banned from the fight. So, no vampirism, lycanthropy, factions/faction-only gear or abilities (Dark Brotherhood, Guilds, Blades, Companions, Stormcloaks, etc), Daedra items, and so on. Example, no Dawnbreaker or Nightingale armor or abilities. - All characters have every spell in the game within the rules of this poll. For DB, all shouts will be added, as well. - No outside help. No summoning dragons to the fight, Dovahkiin! - Only canon achievements are to be considered. So, only stuff from the main games and DLCs. No mods allowed. So, if HoK did become Sheogorath, that will be allowed. - Only the default characters are to be considered. I don't care what your Nord Skyrim character, Sifnus Alpha-Male, had achieved. It's irrelevant here. - Finally, this is meant to be fun. So, don't be a jerk, OK? If you disagree with anything here, just leave.

The Divines would be disgusted. Heck, even the Daedra wouldn't want that creep.

Hate it when that happens.

People who do this are so stupid, it's almost amusing.
