I have a related issue: Witcher 3 has many mods and some of them are very sensitive on being loaded in the correct order. However, somehow Vortex rather frequently decides to completely reset and messing up my carefully arranged load order, e.g., after updating or changing a mod's enabled status and doing the implicitly required deployment. The process to repeatedly and manually re-order the mods by individually dragging-and-dropping them across that list is annoying and time consuming as hell, especially if just a few minutes later, Vortex again decides to reset the load order and you have to start all over again .
Is there a way to preserve the overall load order even when making changes (enable/disable/remove an existing mod, install a new mod) to some individual mods and then deploying?
I also have some ideas that would make the load order configuration much simpler:
allow mod groups or hierarchies, so (i) mods belonging together can be grouped and first sorted relatively to each other to reflect their correct load order within that group, and so (ii) the entire group can be moved up/down while this relative load order is preserved.
Example group 1: BASE + 4KRW + Dynamic Transition mods
Example group 2: Unique Witcher Eyes + Glowing Witcher Eyes + Modular Eyes (+ other Eye mods)
Example group 3: BiA and related mods
OR similar to dependencies, allow specification of relative mod priorities ("BASE < 4KRW", "PotP < BiA", etc.). But I guess this is difficult to implement as it would require some sort of dependency solver.
selection of multiple mods (CTRL+Click to select individual mods, SHIFT+Click to select a range of mods) as to drag-and-drop them together
allowing to search for mods (on the load order screen)
setting manual priorities (this was possible in some previous Vortex versions, but seems to be gone now...)
